  1. You want to see how others think take a quick gander at the posts in the duplicate and closed “sammy’s Injuries” thread or a quick skim of either of the TMaster threads one closed and one still going about Blain Bishop. I just assumed as a noob you did not know the rules and made a suggestion you could search - it is easy and it is the way things are done here - which is a much better way than every random though becomes a thread.
  2. Ahh yes said the Noob that could not follow the rules - then had his thread merged with another thread because a quick search of the first page would of showed a perfectly fine thread on Moss and his running style that was a perfect place for your post. Starting a new thread just to post a Random thought and ignoring is such a LAMP move. For Gods sake man learn common decency and follow the rules - it is quick and easy to perform a search and your though was fine - it just did not warrant a new thread when the front page already had multiple threads with Moss and one specifically discussing his running style with a title starting with “Check out this collision....” Other than that I answered you original thought and made a suggestion that turned out to be correct and tried to do it in a nice way rather than what many other “Men” normally post which would have called you many nasty names for a lame Lamp post to start a new thread with. Sorry. ?‍♂️
  3. I agree, but couldn’t this comment of gone into any of the specific moss threads rather than just starting a new thread for a random thought.
  4. Yes I think - they should be able to have that right. He Still got an NFL shot and blew it. He made his bed - got a ton of money in college and then though he could make up his own rules. He failed and failed bad, but hopefully after a lot of scraping of the bottom of the barrel- he can get his life together.
  5. Just terrible. All 3 look bad - especially with the fade colors and font on the numbers. The Blue on Blue is awful ?. The helmet looked better than expected, but still a step backwards from the horns - still look more like Chargers lightening bolts. The rest should be burned.
  6. Who is upset or blowing anything out of proportion. All I am saying is that there is no way that I see - that the team would keep 2 players on the roster that can not really contribute on offense (as per your contention that it would be easier to learn special teams than RB). Therefore, the contention that he can return kicks, but not be ready to play the RB position would mean you have really look to dump Roberts (a guy that has been All Pro and was just in the Pro Bowl last year as an alternate). I agree that I am not sure Wade ever makes an NFL roster - especially as he still has a roster waiver for this year - but the best chance for him to make a roster long term is to continue to learn and grow at the RB position. Taking time away from that to teach him how to return punts seems like a counter productive measure. Returning Kick-offs is a whole other story and he may or may not be good at that as his Rugby training could enter into the instincts needed there, but I just do not see a reason to waste time trying to figure that out with a guy on the roster that does this at a high level already.
  7. Punt returns are totally different and are not like anything he would be used to. Trying to catch a ball dropping from the top of the stadium with bodies all around. That is an art and takes years to even be half way decent at. You have an all pro versus a guy that has never even caught a punt in high school, college, Pre-season, or anyplace else. Hmm - let me think how this will go. You see guys like Ray Ray that have been returning punts at every level of football and the NFL he is a fumble machine back there. Kick offs are totally different, but I want a guy that I don’t have to worry about fielding punts - especially in the swirling winds of Buffalo in winter, but by all means - let’s dump our all pro special teams return ace for a guy that has never done it.
  8. Even if he can return kicks - there is no way he can do punts - so you would have to keep Roberts for Punts anyways. so you are logically proposing that we keep a second guy that can not really contribute on offense and keep him just as a Kick returner and a second guy (who made the pro bowl multiple times) as a punt returner only. No way. Wade still has an exempt spot - he either improves as a RB or he sits another year on the PS.
  9. Not even a good plan and it sounds like the players are planning to oppose it - so unless they figure it out - it will not be a blueprint for anything.
  10. Size matters - can you maintain 6 feet of distance - I’m impressed. ?
  11. But that is not how the cap works - the cap is based on a under 50% of revenue. So with a salary cap of 215 million - the revenue per team would be about 450 million to get to that number. Now you cut about 100 million from each team (3.2 Billion) and the revenue would drop to 350 million - so the new salary cap would be about 170 - 175 million about a 22% decrease. I also think that is worst case - so I believe it would be closer 15% (a cap around 185 - 190 million). I still think that would be devastating for many teams - so I believe the NFL and NFLPA will work to maintain the cap and then keep it artificially low an the rebound side to make up for the lost revenue, but we will all see. I would doubt it - there is nothing for increases - I doubt the would have anything in place for major decreases. This will be totally uncharted territory- so my guess is the NFL and the NFLPA will have to work an agreement out because if not - several teams are going to be in trouble and a lot of veterans are getting cut and that is bad for everyone.
  12. I think you are partially correct. The shared revenue that the league gives to every team is based on the bolded above. The shared attendance, PSLs, luxury boxes are all considered revenue for the cap, but that money is not shared equally amongst the teams. In this case for the cap, both the TV revenue and all money generated by attendance makes up the pool of money the cap is set from. So without fans the revenue generated for 2020 stands to decrease by ~ 3.2 billion once everything is accounted for based upon the numbers thrown out - so that will be potentially cut from the cap. Individual teams like the LA teams, Las Vegas, Dallas - with tons of PSLs, luxury suites, and huge amounts of fans in newer stadiums - stand to lose significantly more money from this than Buffalo with smaller costs, smaller luxury boxes, and no PSLs. So based on my understanding the underlined section may or may not be correct. If they lose 3.2 billion in game day revenue- the cap will potentially be impacted big time - although I do not see 50% decrease - more like 15%. The second part is mostly true - some teams will eat more of the loses in 2020 than others - although the shared TV money typically covers 100% of the team costs - so that should not change. At least that is my understanding.
  13. No it would not be a money grab- it would be the result of the negotiated revenue split. it would drop and then when the revenue went up in 2021 - the cap would increase by a huge amount. This is why the NFL and NFLPA will negotiate an balance to prevent the cap from dropping significantly, but it will have to be negotiated because the agreement already states how the cap is calculated year over year. The ever increasing revenue has been a boon for the players and when the revenue drops like this it can also be a nightmare.
  14. This has nothing to do with anything at all. The NFL and the NFLPA agreed to a % split of revenue produced each season to set the cap and the players are designated to make a percentage of the revenue year over year. If the revenue drops the salary cap drops - just as when the revenue goes up the cap goes up. This is not a money grab - it is speculation that due to a potential lack of fans - approximately 3.2 billion in potential revenue would be lost meaning and that impacts the cap. The most logical thing is that the NFL and NFLPA will come to and agreement to spread that loss out over several years to have the smallest impact on the cap.
  15. I agree - the NFL and the NFLPA have already agreed to the split - if the NFL can show that due to the lack of fans - they lost X amount - they can work with the NFLPA to spread that loss over 3-5 years keeping the salary cap at 0% increase - rather than cutting the cap in 1 year. The NFLPA will go along because the alternative is for the NFL to decrease the salary cap by a significant margin - which would cause a huge impact in FA salaries and more importantly all kinds of players cut to work to get under the cap. The Bills are in pretty good position because of the number of short 1 year contracts and the available space for next year. There are other teams that not getting a 10 million bump in the cap is going to cause major issues.
  16. It is just a random piece, but when you connect it with the piece on what the Dolphins are planning for in terms of fans - a bigger picture begins to come into focus. I am sure just like schools, hospitals, restaurants, etc - football teams are being asked to think about and model ways to play with No fans, 10% of capacity, 25% capacity, and even 50% and full capacity and protect players, other fans, and workers. It would not surprise me in the least if once they allow fans into the game - if we see a cap at between 10-25% capacity ~ 8 - 15,000 fans and that all parking is in stadium lots with little to no tailgating to maintain social distancing. I could also see a limit on what they will sell at the game with fewer vendors and more order/delivery type service to help restrict corridor traffic and specific plans for entering and exiting the stadium. I really expect the 2020 season for fans to be nothing like what we have experienced in the past and maybe once things settle down the old routine can return.
  17. The draft picks are slotted into a salary that covers 4 years (with a 5th year option for the 1st round. There is very little flexibility or guaranteed money for the later draft picks. The UDFAs typically get a smaller GTD “signing bonus” offer to come to camp and that comes out of a pool each team has. Each team has a specified amount of Signing Bonus money for the UDFAs. The teams do have some options of guaranteeing a larger portion of the UDFAs contract meaning they theoretically could get more upfront as an UDFA than a draft pick - especially if both go to the PS. The UDFA contract is also only 3 years - meaning they can renegotiate after 2 years as an RFA and if they outperformed their contract - they can get their second contract sooner and have more guarantees. Finally as an UDFA - you can choose the best fit for your talent versus being drafted by a team that depth wise is worse. In most cases a draft pick will make more than an UDFA if both make the squad and play about 2 years in the league. After that talent and timing on contract will decide which makes more money. Many times the top UDFA will have higher guaranteed money in the initial contract and will make more if both are cut or end up on the PS.
  18. Except it was Sean that told the story on a pod cast. He was being smug about how they screwed the Panthers. He is the one that stated both the Saints and the Panthers were in a bidding war. He is the one that stated the agent stopped fielding the Saints calls. Once they could no longer get the agent to talk more money - the Saints then traded back into the round to screw the Panthers. This is all on Sean trying to show how smart they are and in doing so he admitted they broke the rules. They should be punished.
  19. Except it is not a non-issue. Sean stated that both the Saints and the Panthers were discussing compensation with the agent and a bidding war erupted. They maxed out compensation and the player and agent both felt Carolina was a better fit. The Saints were well within their rights to then trade and draft him, but both teams were illegally offering compensation. Both teams should be punished for breaking the rules. The stupidest part is the Saints already had multiple QBs on the roster and were working out Winston- so why go that far and risk your reputation on an UDFA? Especially one that now has almost no chance to make your roster.
  20. I get the point - as top UDFAs might get more money than a 7th round pick because of the bidding - you do not want these players pissed they were drafted. It is also supposed to keep the competitive advantage limited as teams that are still drafting would have to focus on picks giving advantages to teams that are done. I am sure it happens all of the time - even if it is stupid things like you would be a top priority- there by insinuating you would get top money, but to be open about bidding and the Panthers coming to an agreement is just wrong. I totally agree some teams just assume everyone cheats and justifies their actions and that is the wrong way to do this. Both teams should get hammered for this - just as they should of hammered the Pats.
  21. Nope - Sean admitted they and the Panthers were in a bidding war for the player. Both were offering money compensation- which is against the rules. The difference is it sounded like the agent and the player preferred Carolina - so the Saints made a trade back into the 7th round to get him and keep him away from the Panthers. The Rule as clearly stated is teams can talk to players/agents before the draft is complete, but they are not allowed to discuss any compensation until the draft is complete. This has been the case for years - and I am sure it happens all of the time where teams break or at least sidestep the rule - the difference is one coach this time decided to brag about screwing over a division rival and in doing so entrapped both teams. @GunnerBill you summed it up perfectly - I just do not get the Saints obsession on this. I can not see them keeping 3 QBs and Hill as a gadget guy on the roster. If they waive him for the practice squad - Carolina can pick him up for nothing and probably at a lower cost as many 7th round picks get paid less than the more coveted UDFAs. This was just stupid and petty on the Saints part and I hope the fine and perhaps loss of a pick was worth it for a guy they did not need. The Ego is just unreal with Sean.
  22. oh they all know the rule - just very hard to get caught unless you are stupid enough to blab trying to show how smart you are.
  23. They talked with Bass about this on One Bills Live - that floored Tasker who talked about booten Tuten and the 1990 season. Bass is also coached by John Carney who played in SD for years and Tasker played with him in a few Pro Bowls.
  24. Agree 100% - I especially think the part about LaFleur is spot on. Many thought it was a strange hire because his fit with Rodgers is not ideal. If GB as an organization has a long term view - then the GM and HC are safe to make this pick.
  25. I totally agree with this - their draft was terrible and did very little to help them. I think that is the case regardless of drafting Love in the first. The next WR was not going to push them to Super Bowl heights. They had plenty of chances to improve the offense after that pick and chose not to draft any WRs at all. I just don’t think that and Love have to be intertwined. Picking Love was not their biggest issue, but the rest of the draft was not good and that will be a problem as they move forward.
