  1. I mean there is no better time to do this with NFL fans dwindling. I would be a fan of this if it is used as a minor league for NFL. NFL needs a minor league. Every other sport has one.
  2. Free agency and the draft happened well before Beane was on this team. Thats not the entire off season. Sure he could pick off others team garbage. But there is a reason for those cuts. If other teams roster cuts is the only way to add a player... I would not consider that a whole off-season. Beane missed the two most important part of the off-season
  3. McDermott is not the GM. Whaley signed Ducasse... And drafted Miller. It was clear in preseason that McDermott didn't want to start either of them but did so out of necessity. And to be fair Ducasse has played much better than orginally thought. He is a much better guard than tackle. And when he was signed everyone assumed RT. But he has played better than what he has shown in the past And last game with a healthy Tolbert... Cadet was involved more than Mike. Seems coaches definitely kept him out after the fumble. Tolbert has a place on this team but it shouldn't be a #2. He should be a #3 goaline back who provides vet leadership. And be a backup FB
  4. Don't understand why Ducasse is a head scratcher? He is currently the best RG we have. Unfortunately. Tolbert is but seems we are getting Cadet more involved. Cadet is a great pass catcher out of the backfield. He is a perfect Patriots RB.
  5. Well I think we retained Dennison and see what he can do with a QB of his choosing from draft or free agency. I think Mayfield would be perfect for his scheme. Quick passer who throws his receivers open which is what Rick likes to do with his passing game. Dennison is very up and down. He sometimes makes great play calls other times he makes terrible play calls but let's see what he could do with a QB that he wants for his system. But if we do let Dennison go then the answer is obviously Rob Chudzinski. Great OC who is currently making the best of his situation with Brissett as his QB. Worked in Carolina we're he became great friends with Sean. Will be available when Pagano is fired.
  6. How can you not? We have the talent of a 5-6 win team and we have 7 wins with 3 games to play. He has some questionable game management issues that haven't come back to bite him yet. He has areas to be improved but he is getting the most out of his players which is the most important aspect of a HC imo.
  7. 1) Bills win 2 of 3 2) Chargers beat KC 3) Tennessee loses out Either could easily happen with the way 49ers are playing. I'm not even gonna root for a KC Chargers game cause it's impossible to know what Tennessee will do with their 3 remaining games.
  8. Bleacher report is just for anybody with internet. Anyone with internet could write an article. This forum has better credibility
  9. Wow this is getting out of hand. Watching the news last night and someone claimed sexual harrassment for a unwanted hug... Like really? What the hell is wrong with women in today's world? I don't condone men sexual harrassment at all but seems to me that women are just throwing out allegations to anyone somewhat famous. This is like the 8th time in past 2 weeks.
  10. It's just so confusing now for all teams because we have to think about all the tie breaker scenarios. Just impossible to tell. This is much closer to the playoffs than we have been in a long long time. All other years we have needed so much help from week 14 on. This year if we take care of business we only need a tad bit of help. If we lose to Patriots we need some more help but it's definitely doable.
  11. Chargers vs Chiefs this week is also huge for us
  12. Yes that game if gonna be important. And we have to hope the 49ers help us out. Jimmy G has made them competitive so I could see them taking out the Titans for us. Gotta hope Charger beat KC as well since we own a head to head tie breaker.
  13. He definitely expected it to stick on the snow a lot like that one that landed on the one. And in this snow. Trying to catch a punt is a scary thing. Got a 7 point lead. No need to risk a muffed punt in these conditions
  14. Adolphus Washington has really stepped up the past couple weeks. Colts getting extremely lucky with their punts
  15. No. It's time Bills got a pocket passer. Quit the gimmicks. Get a QB who can primarily move the football from the pocket. I don't mind athletic QBs but it has to be used as a compliment to his arm... not the primary threat and the ability to move around in the pocket. In that scenario I take Mayfield.
  16. Not at all. EJ never had the arm that Lock had. Lock has a tremendous deep ball. Threw more deep balls than anyone in college football. Manuel was always safe with the football at college. Just a glorified game manager... He was a winner. Manuels numbers never came close to Locks. If you want to compare Lock to anyone on the Bills then I would say he has Fitzpatrick's gun slinger mentality with a much better arm and more accurate down field
  17. He has a tremendous arm. Probably the best of this draft class. Issue is accuracy.... Terrible completion percentage. Throws an amazing seam route. Could be a Brett Farve type.
  18. Could put Tom Brady on Browns and they would still suck. They should build around Kizer temporarily until the roster is better then nab a QB.
  19. Is this a sign that Hyde will play corner with White and Johnson hurt?
  20. Not saying he was bad. He had a decent year. But he regressed... His freshman year was better. He was being talked about as the best prospect since Luck. He was expected to make a huge jump and be in contention for Heisman. However it didn't happen and that's why I called it underwhelming... It's underwhelming in regards to what was being expected of him as potentially the best QB prospect since Luck
  21. No... It's still a position in football. It's a term for the WR that linesup off the line of scrimmage. Hence you have to be faster than a split end. It's also known as the Z receiver. Big reason Carolina traded Kelvin is because they had two true split ends in Funchess and Benjamin so they wanted to get Samuels in that Flanker position
  22. Wasn't Watkins a Bills fan in college and high school? He also knows all the players and is friends with them. And maybe McDermott sat down and told him this is temporary we will be interested in signing him again after the season ends. Just never know
  23. That's the thing tho. When they made the move. They said it had nothing to do with Sammy. Said Watkins is a tremendous player. They were just trying to improve the roster... It's not like they just moved on cause he was bad and didn't fit their vision. But like I said I don't see it happening either but something to keep an eye on.
  24. Many people who follow baseball know that Brian Cashman traded Aroldis Chapman to Cubs couple years back. In return the Yankees now have the number one prospect in Baseball in Gleyber Torres and got a good bullpen arm in Adam Warren. And a couple other prospects. Well they got all that for a half a year rental because Chapman was a free agent and signed with the Yankees in off-season. This move helped them go from missing the playoffs to 1 game from the World Series. Now how does this relate to the Bills? Well Sammy Watkins is a free agent. With guys like Kupp and Woods being the Rams primary revievers he could walk. Well Bills need a Flanker. Benjamin is a Split End. That means Zay is our current Flanker. He would be way better suited as a Slot receiver since he can't play SE with Benjamin on team. Sammy is the prototypical Flanker. It's a perfect fit. Watkins isn't playing his best so he won't cost nearly as much as once thought. So does Matthews walk and we bring Watkins back? If he does it would be awesome. He hindsight he would have traded Watkins a one year rental for a 2nd round pick and EJ Gaines... Just to add Watkins back. Would be an awesome move by Brandon. Is he trying to pull a Cashman and Chapman type move? Lineup SE- Kelvin Benjamin /Andre Holmes SL- Zay Jones FL- Sammy Watkins/Deonte Thompson Just for record. I don't think it happens. I think Mike Wallace on a one year rental is most likely. Maybe a Moncrief or John Brown is brought in to play Flanker. But it would be an awesome move if Beane does pull it off... And unexpected
  25. Zay has gotten way better since the bye week. Gotta remember he is playing out of position as a Flanker too. He is a split end or slot guy. We need to add a true Flanker this off-season. Move Zay to slot and let Matthews walk.
