I've just become less passionate about my fandom in general in recent years. After so many years of investing emotionally and getting nothing in return... I always want to squish the fish but it means less knowing that the season is inevitably another lost cause. Wake me up when parity is brought to the NFL.
It's like trying to beat Brady, you have to let the Pats* have the lead but keep it a one score game. Take the lead ONLY with 20 seconds or less to go in the game.
If colts can keep it to six or less then steal it at the end...
I would be jacked if they came out of the tunnel (after warmups were normal) with the entire defense wearing arm braces.
Note: autocorrect changed "if" to "off" but I caught it.
Yeah I know it's unlikely, but still true. Similarly if the only thing that could knock us out of the playoffs in week 17 were a Browns victory, it would in incorrect before that game is over to say "the bills are in the playoffs"
I think people are still underestimating the combined value of (A) the most important position in football, and (B) the rookie wage scale. Before the rookie wage scale you could swing and miss on a first round quarterback and set your franchise back for years. Now it doesn't hurt nearly as much to whiff and the upside is too much for teams to resist.
