I had a number of professors in college that made the class read their book if they got something published. Sounds like an ego trip for them. lol. Your psych sounded a little like the professor I had. I still remember being so mad that final in that nothing that professor spoke of in class was on the final!! Contrary to you I only had a few really good professors. There was a professor who made a remark once if you get a D it's like herpes in that you can't get rid of it. I think someone asked him to fail them instead. The logic being if you get an F and retake the class... the 0.0 would be wiped out from your GPA with the passing grade. A D grade would get averaged with the re-taken class grade. Like you said though you can't have too many of them on your transcript to graduate. I think where I went in the major you took you were only allowed 1 D.

I had one professor for Econometrics that was really mean and condescending Was afraid to go to his office hours. It was a hard class as is. Wound up failing it had to retake it. Aah. Don’t hold bitterness toward the man though today. One professor I had for Personality Psychology was still one of the biggest crackpots I’ve come across in my life. I needed a certain amount of 300 level courses and stupid me I took his class because he was rated highly on Rate My Professor. I like Psychology though. The class was just him talking about his life like 100% of the time. He would tell weird stories as well like his friend burning himself to death as part of psychological studies or some clients of his that abducted their children. Creepy stuff. Only like 25% of the class attended his lectures usually. His final was a nightmare as well as it was all based upon book readings never gone over in class. Wound up with a D in the class.

While not perfect, I give the MLB a lot of credit for at least trying to switch it up with new rules. The time to throw the pitch helps tremendously with the on the field product. I really think the NBA commissioner could learn a thing or two from that league . Golden State/Cleveland had a little juice for a while in the 2010s for me. I mean it still wasn't the 90's ball or Knicks/Bulls back in that era but at least got me interested in it. Was not even aware Karl-Anthony Towns is on the Knicks now. He went to the same high school as me (he's 12 years younger than me). Even that does extremely little to nothing for me to get interested in him.

I know there are some basketball fans that use the site. The 91' or 92' game against the Patriots definitely pops into mind.

I actually very much enjoyed this as it felt complete role reversal from 2001-2019 Patriots games. There were many games those years the Bills came and gave strong efforts for those teams but the Patriots eventually would rise to the top as they were the better team. Ditto Buffalo now.

The Chiefs are the more annoying team today but a little surprised overall at these results. I thought it might be closer to 50/50. It still doesn’t make up for 20 years of butt whippings at the Patriots hands the fact that they are having a bad season now. Plus their was always the posts here about them being cheaters, Brady wining and getting every call under the sun, the hit by Gronk on Tre White, and Kraft and sex trafficking. Surprised too how many here don’t like the Bengals. Granted I’ve only known one big Bengal fan in my life. But they ended the drought. Plus I thought they handled the whole Damar situation with class.

That rivalry is almost .500 throughout the Bills/Dolphins history though now. I certainly understand your sentiment though. I thought that's why there might be a little more Patriots dislike on this thread here now...... we'd have to see the Bills dominate them for like at least another 15 years to get the all time rivalry back to .500. And that's not even counting Super Bowl wins.

It's a couple years removed from Belichick and Brady both being with the Patriots. And now they are having a 3-11 season without either one of them. So it seems Bills fans got their wish during the drought years that the Patriots would go back to being irrelevant again. However, for obvious reasons the Chiefs might have taken on the #1 team the fanbase dislikes the most. I still would like to see the Bills dominate the Patriots for another 15 years (and win some Super Bowls along the way) to even that score. But yeah I probably dislike the Chiefs more at this point.

That's why I'm not sure how well he would do as an offensive coordinator. Especially in this league today where there's a much more sort of analytical/number approach/memorize all the plays versus react directly to what he saw on the field.

I think its just too different a game today from the 80s and 90s to really answer this. Case in point Jim was a very vocal leader on the field. Nobody today comes close in that regard.

I’ve complained about McDermott but then I think of Tomlin in Pittsburgh. People seem to think of him as this God but he’s actually only won 1 Super Bowl. Plus his teams every year seem to have a few games they play down to the competition. My point is McD is a pretty solid coach. Based on the Sabres I wouldn’t expect the ownership group to get it right if they replaced him.

AOC: she’s young and good looking. But I mean if she’s going to be face of the Democratic in the next few years…. This is the stuff she gets worked up about. Trans bathrooms. It’s a blip on most people’s radar.

Not going to take beating the Patriots or Jets for granted. I think they'll both be playing hard as spoilers. But it's pretty safe to be confident the Bills will win out. It beats last year where it came down to the Dolphins game last year for the #2 seed.

Yeah. I think Steve Christie's recovery of the onside kick like that in the Comeback is one of the most underrated plays in Buffalo Bills history.
