Haha that story is awesome. I know there was a Playboy with Geri Halliwell (Sexy or Ginger Spice) I was half tempted to do that with. But for nostalgia I bought and still own the copy off eBay. Yeah sometimes in high school it really bothered me how other kids would cheat on tests and what not. Then I grew up and I have to think some of that is on the teacher for being dumb and naive

This was a good game but Dolphins at Bills 2009 is one of my favorite drought games. If I recall Jauron just got the ax and Fewell I think was the interim coach? Anyway, his aggressive play calling I think won the Bills that game late. And I recall a Fitz to TO touchdown which kind of sealed the deal

I did a few years ago. I want to say I started a thread on it but cant recall. Was okay from what I remembered. I think most of the film was shot in Canada not Buffalo.

OT…Have sports debate shows run their course?
Another Fan replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
ESPN I never really watched much in the 21st century. WFAN in New York I listened to as a teenager and in my 20's. From I'd say early 2000's to early 2010s. I used to find it pretty informative and entertaining but now its insufferable. -
Watson isn’t a good man and it looks like not a good football player anymore But the hit to Nick Chubbs knee was on the dirty side

Fan dies in stands after fight at Patriots game

Agreed. Ironically I hit the beer mug for your post but figured a trophy was more appropriate 😊 -
Nice to see Big Dan get a big hit today. I mean I’m thinking he’s not back next year so a nice memory for him. One of my first online friends is from Cincy. Seems this is the first time in forever the Reds won the yearly record 4-2). Another friend was the clincher in Cincy for the NL East in 2015. I don’t think I’ll watch any playoff games but yeah I like the Reds. I’ll follow them a little down the stretch

Raiders at Bills 1990 AFC Championship Game
Another Fan replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've watched this game several times as I think it's like mandatory viewing for Bills fans if they weren't born yet or old enough to appreciate it. But someone posted a Bills/Raiders game earlier that season where the Bills came back late in the game. Which was kind of eye opening as the impression I had of the AFC Championship game was it was a formality the Bills would win that day -
The Brewers are in first place now and will most likely win the central Division. I mean I don't know for sure but I want to say they are usually a solid team despite operating at a significantly payroll than say the Mets or Yankees. I agree with you about Stearns. My issue isnt so much him personally versus how baseball has evolved. Like for me this year my biggest frustration this year was I don't think Buck pushes/nags/gets on any of the players cases when the results have been well very disappointing this season. Like the team just walks through the motions. Hence the nostalgia posting that Terry Collins clip. But at the same time I'm stubbornly acknowledging this is what the future of the game is and the managers control is shrinking. So yeah if Stearns is what is needed so be it. We all want to see the team competitive at the end of the day

Lol. As much as a lukewarm feeling Scherzer left in my mouth, I wouldn’t wish that on him. Ditto Aaron Rodgers. Time even kinda caught up with Tom Brady

I say Like A Virgin by Madonna so he could discover again his initial love for the game

Beltran just sort of seems to never really go away does he? 😅 I know you are a skeptic of Johann's no hitter. Look whose hit caused the controversy.

Donald Jones saved the day

It was ironically the home opener in Week 2 that year as well. It’s probably in my top 10 favorite Bills games of all time and one of my favorite endings. I’ll be the first to admit outside of beating the Patriots next week…. In the grand scheme of things the game itself led to nothing. But coming back down I believe 3 Touchdowns was real exciting. As was the final drive and final TD on 4th down. I think it’s the game Fitz screamed after wards as well. Was a good time in my life as well starting a new job at the time after months of unemployment.

Is that because you think in general front offices have more power today? Outside the Mets I don’t really keep aware of what goes on in a broader sense in baseball

Rough season opening losses— are we snake bit?
Another Fan replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall
Off the top my head to counter that they had a few pretty good exciting last minute wins on opening day: 1988 or 1989 Kelly ran in the last TD against the Dolphins with no time left 1995 Bills held off the Patriots deep in their red zone to win 1996 beat the NY Giants in NJ in Overtime. I remember a great Kelly to Reed TD 2000 beat and hold off the Titans after the Music City Miracle. The Titans kicker missed at the end of regulation to tie the game 2014 Beat Da Bears in OT. Freddie had that famous run where he ran over that Bears defender -
Did anyone else think that seemed kind of strange and really out of character for him? He even more than Josh had that sort of Buffalo Bills character of putting your head down and working hard kind of thing. While Matt is still the man that 15 yard penalty after the interception did prove costly. The Bills only got a field goal on that drive and a TD might have really iced the game. That gave the Jets a slight glimmer of hope I thought before halftime. I know I’m kind of nit picking at that penalty. But stuff like that, that video over the summer of Dawkins filming himself throwing Dolphins jerseys on the floor, and Josh’s performance last night kind of leads me to believe the team needs harder and stronger coaching and more discipline than what they have

Here you go my man. I watched this 54647 times as a kid but forgot it until just now

@ExWNYer @SinceThe70s @Gugny I've just been checking the scores of late. I certainly respect you guys/fans that watch the games now for the late calls up but it's hard for me to get excited about them. Perhaps you've seen this clip but only now I came across it. I understand I'm really grasping for straws and part of this is nostalgia but I wouldn't mind considering Terry again for manager. I mean if I recall correctly it felt like his tenure ran its course more than he deserved to be fired? If the team is going young this is the kind of fiery/passionate manager I'm looking for. Or has the game been completely overrun by stats at this point

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now
Another Fan replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well I mean obviously I hope you are correct as well But it's hard for me to really get all in on them at this point before the bullets start flying so to speak. The tough love element you speak of I think is needed with this team. I thought the team burnt out physically and emotionally after all they were through last year. Milano was one of the few guys I thought that brought it in the Bengals playoff game. The ultimate test of that to me is how they perform come December/playoff time. To me that's when the tough love of training camp will pay dividends -
It must have been 1991 but I do recall watching clips of a very tight contest between the Bills and Jets from 90/91 at the old Giants Stadium. I thought it was this game at first. Yeah I recall when Kent Hull died in 2011 it was very bittersweet for me. As a kid I really couldn't appreciate him then. By the age I was in 2011 I was able to see how special a player and person he was. Just too bad his death was what made me research him like that

While it's not a movie that has the mood of Fall per say, I would say Rocky The first fight with Spider Rico took place on Thanksgiving in the movie I believe. If you look at that clip of Rocky running the weather outside seems Fallish as well as when he runs up the steps. Rocky has on long sleeves and sweatpants but you see no ice or snow on the ground. Also, the lakes or water he ran by haven't iced up yet. And oh yeah this is the same focus I expect from Josh and crew Monday night after watching that 😁

Sort of but not like too sappy imo. I mean we are on a football message board 😉
