  1. When I was in high school my English teacher played that Tracy Chapman song to the class in 9th grade. Was the 1st time I heard of it. Pretty much everyone there laughed at it. I realized at that point most kids at this school were little sh1ts.
  2. A song you know well I never really listened to it that closely but the rest of the song after the Bulls starting line ups sounds sad at the very least.
  3. A Happy New Year to all. After New Year's Day is complete that signals the holiday season is over imo. I won't get into my issues here but the holiday season especially dealing with family members can certainly bring out the worst in people. It wasn't exactly a pleasant week for me since Christmas per say. I'm actually looking forward to going back into my boring routine.
  4. The Dolphins have a playoff spot wrapped up even if they lose so hopefully it takes some of the edge of them.
  5. Even if NE was 0-15 I will never take beating them for granted.... That being said I'm 50/50 on next week after today's result. I am nervous already thinking about next weeks game
  6. It's like I say, I feel the final irony of being a Bills fan is one day they will win the Super Bowl and I won't really find it all that fulfilling for the way the league is trending.
  7. Even Rutgers whose college football program has plenty of shady dealings seems to want no part of him anymore
  8. They were still actually reasonably in it in the 4th. Not that I thought they had a chance, just saying.
  9. Their defense does have a good reputation. I thought with a national prime time showing there might be at least a decent amount of pride there...... I guess not
  10. Game over. I really thought the Jets defense would show up tonight if nothing else. I feel sorry for some of their fans. Reiterating the word some
  11. Wow. I could care less about the NBA. But the Detroit Pistons I always thought of as a strong franchise
  12. I was in high school then. Nothing memorable much for me but I do recall thinking I wouldn’t want to be on a plane at midnight
  13. The last time the Bills won a road game against the Chargers was in 1981. After that brutal playoff loss months earlier. The Nate Peterman disaster game was against the Chargers as well. Playing there historically has been Hell for the Bills. So yeah I appreciate your sentiments.
  14. Yeah, you posted at the same time as me. I don't consider myself a Buffalo or Josh Allen homer but these are my exact sentiments
  15. As someone who thought this part of the site seemed overly optimistic about yesterday's game last week..... I'm still pleased with the result. The team traveled Sunday night after a huge win across the country on a short week to play the team they have the worst winning percentage against in Buffalo history. It felt like the classic trap game to me. Ditto the 2014 Oakland game after the big win against the Packers Wasn't pretty but I'm satisfied this morning
  16. The team deserved to win the Eagles game more than this one.... but traveling across the country after a late game Sunday night against a well rested Chargers team whom the Bills historically struggle with..... I will take it! Good win
  17. Bittersweet night for buffalo sports teams: Bills win but not without major agita Sabres again show they can play with the best teams in the league and lose. But still get a point
  18. It's scary because how accurate Dicker has been all night. All they really need to do is get to mid field
  19. My mom and her sister (my aunt) are. It never much clicked in my thick mind though my Mom was until recently. She'd always get me lots of clothes for Christmas and buys enough toys for her nephews kids that would make a full orphanage happy. It's kind of funny my father's side of the family is doing Christmas without giving any gifts this year. Which to me is kind of weird but it is what it is. My Mom still wants to give them gifts but my Dad is trying to tell her No They Are Not Having it! It's a pretty funny memory now when I was in 8th grade my mom gave me a gift for Christmas to give to the principal of my school who was a nun. I don't even remember what it was but I just did not want to bring it to her. As a grown up now this sister seemed all right but she kind of hit upon some of the negative stereotypes people have of women who choose that lifestyle. Anyway her office was across the street and like 5 minutes away so besides not wanting to bring it to her it was like a pain in the neck to walk there alone as well. I asked my one friend if she was giving the principal anything to which he was like, "Heck No She doesn't deserve anything". It was enough in my mind not to rationalize going through with giving her the gift! I cant even remember how my Mom took it or what I did with the gift but I did not give it to her. Aah , I have a lot of regrets of things I did or didn't do in life.... this was not one of them.
  20. His whole Christmas album holds up very well IMO even though its 35 years old I like Christina
  21. I was a fan of hers from Whos the Boss on. Too bad she became kind of kooky today. But this brought some nostalgia
  22. I liked all the Bundys but yeah Al was definitely my favorite. Ditto Homer Simpson as well in the 90s. Others: Adrian Monk Dr. Jason Seaver All the muppet characters pre Elmo Valerie Malone In terms of eye candy the cast of Charmed. (Alyssa Milano, Shannon Doherty, Holly Combs, Rose McGowan) used to like this show as a teenager for that reason!
  23. It’s a nice song. Even I who increasingly more and more find this time of year a nuisance gets a bit choked up listening to this one
