    Please note that it is more than likely Allen several times changed the play Daboll had called based on his reading of the Jets D. It sure looked that way to me.

    Exactly correct. There wasn't anything Allen did today that made me think he didn't belong out there. Much improved in decision making, in accuracy, in reading the D. And he never panicked.

    What did Allen do in the first half that was so bad he should have been pulled? One fumble looked to me like it should be attributed to Morse and both interceptions were "lucky bounce" types. Some days those things go your way, sometimes they don't.

    Elite receivers are not necessary for elite team status. List the 5 acknowledged best WRs in the league and look at where their teams finish. The same can be said for so-called elite RBs. The key to success is an elite QB whose line is above average, with good coaching. The rest is gravy.

    That would be Pete Gogolak, the first soccer style kicker who revolutionized the kicking game. His being poached by the Giants led to the all out war between the leagues which then led to the merger.

    One of the great sports experiences is a summer evening game at Dodger Stadium. What surprises many people is that it is the third oldest stadium in MLB after Fenway and Wrigley. Because a place is "old" doesn't necessarily mean it's crappy.
