Also, who knows if he is actually angry about these statements about him or just motivated to prove them all wrong. Though it seems petty, he could more likely be someone that cannot wait for the opportunity to say "I told you so". IMHO, an effective QB is one that exhibits great confidence and personal pride. I played with a guy who used his detractors as fuel and it drove him to the most intense focus ever. He didn't have the inherent skill and athleticism to go beyond being a mid-level college QB, but he took that focus and moved it to the business world and sold his software company for over $200million 4 years ago. I loved playing with him as he didn't take less than your best every day and demanded you improve every single practice. It's awesome to be around.

Gunner's 2018 Draft QB evaluations
MiltonWaddams replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fantastic Gunner. Very un-biased and analytical approach and that is refreshing here. One month more and we'll see how this all pans out in terms of draft positioning, but this is a long game with all of these guys and I cannot say I've been more interested to see a draft full of QB's progression like I am with this one. Thank you. -
The reports of 4 meetings clearly exhibits an interest in him by the Bills. They are doing their due diligence on a kid with some questionable character traits, but also one with an overwhelming desire to excel at his craft and with a lot of evident skill. The talent is there, but the mental fortitude is the thing that has to be a cause for concern for the brass at OBD. I think we should all agree that, if Mayfield is their guy, they will have done the most in-depth assessment possible and we should be confident that they got a guy that fits their long-term goals and one that can be assimilated into the much-talked-about process. Beane and McDermott are not the type to tolerate a fool.

My neighbors German Shepard. He's got all kinds of prognostications. He also thinks his crap doesn't stink and has a thing for licking toes.

AM: They treat you good in the B'lo? TT: Oh yeah, I have full commitment from the head office. AM: Oh, really? Nice work on that contract re-negotiation bro.

I'm not thinking grinder will be a real thing in camp. Just doesn't fit with McDermott's whole ethos...

Potential. Let's hope it's exceeded!

Are going to sign any receivers
MiltonWaddams replied to kirkwoodus13's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nothing is happening pre-draft, due to the uncertainty around what they can do with their current assets in a trade-up scenario, but This is the best opportunity to acquire a WR1/2 ( because KB is a WR1/2). It would surprise me more if this didn't happen than if it did. -
I'm not certain that there is a NFL WR that could really hurt the Bills at the position right now. Worth a look

Allen Hurns Agrees to a 2-Year Deal With Dallas

I believe you meant All Pro. We all know he is physically similar to Brady, why hold him back like that? -

How about a trade for Amari Cooper?
MiltonWaddams replied to #34fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They did sign Jordy....to mentor Amari. The WR crew in Oakland was running sloppy routes, making big drops and acting like a bunch of prima donnas in the process. Jordy is the definition of a professional. His role is to lead a talent like Amari to be the best version of himself. No way the Raiders make that move. -
Will Compton is no speed guy and that's the only report of a visit we've seen in the past 48 hours. This regime has been full of surprises though. Last off season, mny of us, myself included, looked at the signings that were made and saw a lot of holes. They somehow pulled it together and there were a number of guys to exceed expectations. This year, the LB, WR and right side of the OL positions are glaring. Let's hope the magic continues.

Bills Have a Standing Offer for LB Preston Brown
MiltonWaddams replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Preston is replaceable, but the issue is that he is not easily replaceable. Look at FA and find me a guy of his caliber that can slide right into this defence. Nope. Can you guarantee that the Bills can acquire a better, if not at least equal, talent at MLB through the draft? Nope. This is why they want him back and I can't agree more. The $4 million value seems good, but I imagine that the leading tackler in the league last year is looking at closer to $6million. -
Excellent deal. Best one for a qb this year by a longshot

Available FA's who might be a fit with the BIlls

Ain't a chance anyone got Stanford. He was a "Who the hell?" signing. -
Cardinals Release Tyrann Mathieau
MiltonWaddams replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was a tackling machine when he played last year. He isn't the 2015 player, but he is still a helluva lot better than a bunch of starting NFL safeties -

So weird. That guy is awesome. Doesn't fit a need here, but he is going to make someones defensive backfield better. -

It's McCarron's mom he's talking about. Google her.
