Around the NFL Week 12
MiltonWaddams replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t see one win to pen..or pencil...in for the rest of the season. The Bills could finish 11-5 or 8-8. It’s a grind from here on out. -
I guess it’s a matter of perception? Bates IS on the team and Henderson visited. I was responding to a To a question that asked who would be the better alternative. The alternative is already on the team and that is Ryan Bates. Not really sure why you decided that you needed to respond the way you did, but I’ll just let it go and carry-on.

Next two weeks tell us all we need to know

I think the Cowboys beat the patriots and then suffer a let down game against the Bills. That’s how the two and two record happens. -
Mathematically it makes perfect sense. As for voting us #1...I have questions...

He has been Widely Receiving poor reviews for his on-field performance the last 5 games. Perhaps that's the explanation?

When the announcers were talking about how they didn’t feel that they should be playing the hurry up offense in the fourth quarter when they were up by 10 points, all I was thinking was “If they want to go down there and score and finally go ahead and step on a teams throat when they have them down then why the hell wouldn’t they be doing the hurry up offense?”. I wasn’t on the game thread, but assume that was talked about. It was good to see and a pure show of aggression.

Make a bold stat line prediction for the game today

Maybe we should start predicting board stats? -
Gameday! Bills vs Dolphins PreGame Thread

Agreed. I think a lot of people forget that there are three aspects to a football team and that special teams is actually pretty darn key. I wish that Duke and/or TJ were more effective on special teams in order to get them on to the game day roster, but they aren’t and you need to have players to play special teams and do it effectively. -

I may be in a different position than some, having played football growing up. When people are spouting off about “ he isn’t good enough “ or “he’s a bust”, give us specific analysis of why that opinion was formed. Many people on the board use an “eyeball analysis “ and don’t spend any time actually re-watching plays to determine what actually happened. I respect an opinion formed through knowledge and research, but constant team and player bashing just becomes a biased opinion unless backed by real analysis. We all see the posters who just opine without back-up and it gets a bit more than ridiculous.

I don’t think that your opinion on winning or losing is what defines you as a fan. That being said, your opinion has been, as long as I can remember, negative about this team. I understand the frustration of being a Bills fan. We all understand that frustration. The issue I think most of us take with your opinion, and those of the vast majority of the negative Nancies around here, Is that you offer no real viable alternatives, just dwell upon the negatives. I cannot speak to your knowledge of the game, but I can definitely speak to your opinion. And your opinion doesn’t really have any backing, it’s just negative.

Buccaneers waived CB Vernon Hargreaves
MiltonWaddams replied to Mopreme's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hargreaves would be a worthy addition to the team, But what about Kevin Johnson sitting behind Wallace? Should we not give him the opportunity to show that he can succeed in a role he succeeded in 2 seasons ago? -
Arguing this point would be ridiculous. But, I think we have to have some faith in our second year quarterback, who was always a project, to improve and to learn from these mistakes. A lot of us have been surprised by elements of Josh’s game that have improved this year and elements that have regressed, such as the long ball. An area where we haven’t seen enough improvement is the quick reads that you see the truly elite quarterbacks get and succeed at. It’s tough to preach patience when you have a team at six and three, but not having patience with a talent as tantalizing as Josh is going to cost us too much. I want him to be great as much as the next guy, and he still may be, but dwelling on the negative’s isn’t helping.

Bills at Browns Post Game Post Mortem
MiltonWaddams replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His fumble today had reckless written all over it. The first big run he had, he covered up beautifully. That run was him putting blinders on and thinking he’s a bowling ball RB. I would love to sit in on meetings and practices this season as I am unsure of what Dorsey and Daboll are doing to improve him. He’s improved on short throws and that’s it really.
