  1. The Pats are not what they were and Buffalo has some flaws but there was one key thing that I noticed. There were a few plays such as Zimmer forcing Newton's fumble and Maketevich recovering the surprise on-sides that made enough difference to eek out the win. There were many close losses against the Pats over the last twenty years where the boards would speculate "If they only stopped them here, if they only made that first down, if they only etc... we would have won. This time, we were able to make those "if they only did this" plays and instead New England suffered the "billsy" loss. This is a team that dealt with a record playoff drought and a winning culture does not happen overnight. 6-2 despite many flaws is an accomplishment and I am hoping that moments like this can help the Bills get to the next level.
  2. If the Bills made the superbowl and won it by ten, I have a feeling that you would be on the board saying that they sucked because the Chiefs won by 11 last year. What is with you, are you really a fan of another team, a perfectionist with unrealistic expectations or just a good old fashioned troll?
  3. Defense is a concern and that will make Seattle and Arizona really tough to beat if things dont get better. With that being said, they made a play when they needed today do and the team is still 6-2 despite not being at their best. Hopefully Darron Lee and whoever they decide to add or trade for in the next week will give them more depth and replace some of the dead weight (looking at you AJ Klein).
  4. This is the type of loss that normally happens to Buffalo against New England. Defense was a concern again, but Zimmer made a play when it counted. Good win for Buffalo. I am taking this one game at a time now.
  5. The Chiefs and Titans could beat anyone more often than not on a given week and are much stronger teams than the Broncos and 49ers, so New England may be the one team that is in more of a recent slump than Buffalo. With that being said, I am not confident enough to call any team a lock for Buffalo. The second half of the Jets was encouraging, but that was against a team that may be the worst NFL team in years. Buffalo's running game and run defense is not doing well. If Belichick sees that weakness in this game, he will exploit it non stop until Buffalo can do something about it. Another factor is that New England has a lot more to lose. If Buffalo loses they are still 3-1 in the division and 5-3. If New England loses, they are 2-6 and their season is all but over. I am about 75 percent certain the the Bills win, the defense is healthier and they seem to be getting their motivation back, I've see too many bills pats games over the last 15 years to be more confident than that. I do not see Buffalo winning in a close game, I think that they either blowout the Pats or lose.
  6. I have heard bad things about him from Cowboys fans, but maybe he does better with a different system or lesser role. Wouldn't be upset if they sign him, but wont be upset if they pass on him either.
  7. I do not know much about Lee and don't expect him to be a star, but a linebacker with starting experience and ability to cover a pass is by default an upgrade over Klein. I like that Buffalo is realizing the need and adding people. Hopefully he can help in a similar way that Corey Liuget did when signed in the mid season last year.
  8. I would love to see upgrades on defense, but not Apple. This is one case where I would rather stick with what we have.
  9. I have not always been impressed with Levi's play, but there was a clear drop off in the secondary after he was injured. It will be good to have him back and I am hoping that a healthier defense will result in more consistent play.
  10. I feel a little better about the defense after seeing the effort in the second half yesterday, but Buffalo still needs help in the front seven, particularly linebacker depth behind Edmunds and Milano. Dodson was serviceable until he got hurt, but Lacey hasnt shown me anything, Makavetich is a special teamer and Klein is a complete liability on passing downs. I wouldn't want to give up too much, but a good veteran linebacker would be worth giving up a late round pick. If not a trade, there has to be some upgrades on a practice squad somewhere or on the free agent market.
  11. Beasley on offense and Hughes on defense are my two choices. Honorable mention to Hyde for that hit putting an exclamation point behind the defenses second half turnaround. I have to disagree on Bass, he redeemed himself a bit after that first horrible miss, but I still feel like he is going to cost us in a key game this year.
  12. 9-7 might get it done. If Buffalo beats New England next week they suddenly have a commanding lead. It is doubtful that they beat Seattle and you never know which Arizona team will show up. 6-4 or 7-3 going into the bye would put the Bills in a good position. Miami might be the only competition and we already have one win over them.
  13. Say what you want about the Bills in the last three games, but New England isn't exactly getting it done either recently. It will be interesting to see what happens next week.
  14. I think that they mean the second game of 2018(The Vontae Davis halftime retirement game), where the defense was respectable in the second half after a disasterous first half and week 1 against the Ravens. After that they played pretty decent for the rest of that year.
  15. I agree with this. Ill take generating turnovers with a few big plays being given up over the chinese water torture of watching the defense give up endless 7 yard passes and 200 yards rushing that we saw for the previous 10 quarters before todays' second half
  16. It's just the Jets, but the stats were good in the 2nd half and you have to start somewhere. It seemed like blitzing more made all of the difference. What works on Darnold may not necessarily work on Newton, Murray and Wilson though. Hopefully this boosted their confidence enough to lead to better results going forward.
  17. 5-2 is 5-2 but there are so many question marks on the team. Here is hoping that they can answer some of those this week. The next three games before the bye are going to be tough.
  18. This is do or die. Find a way to survive today and figure it out from there. Win or lose, something drastic needs to be done this week.
  19. Even if this happens the defense will keep the Jets on the field for 8 minutes afterwards as they drive for another TD.
  20. This is an embarrassment and some players and coaches need to be kicked off the team after today. Something toxic is clearly happening internally. I have never seen a 4-2 so resigned to defeat against a winless team.
  21. Alright, terrible start so far, but they came through there. Could be a defining moment if they can get it together after this.
  22. Alright, we can all agree that it is now time to get rid of Lance Bass.
  23. I always wondered who was more soulless between Brady and Belichick, now I know.
  24. A little sloppy for the first quarter followed by adjustments and an easy win from there. 34-10 Buffalo
