  1. Is this a subtle satire of the Diggs at running back post from earlier this week or was this just a case of Saturday night Johnnie Walker wisdom?
  2. Even though he has done this in Minnesota, I would not see this as worth the risk. He is too valuable and I do not see how putting him in the backfield once or twice a game would make a difference in the outcome.
  3. This is a shame because it is not the choice of the Bills and it divides a fan base in a year where Buffalo is a legitimate super bowl contender. I am glad that they are offering refunds for those who prefer not to be vaccinated and hope that all Bills fans regardless of where they stand can respect each other and realize that we are all on the same team at the end of the day.
  4. The rest of the NFL knows what the Buffalo offense is about and they wont get away with being one dimensional as much as last year. I am not worried, yet, I would rater have a wake up call like this early. Hope they can learn from this and make the necessary adjustments.
  5. This is 2001 all over again for the Ravens when they lost Jamal Lewis early and went through about 7 different running backs that season
  6. Brown was a good player and a joy to watch when he was on the team and I appreciate his contributions. I would be worried that since he could not crack the depth chart on a Raiders group that was average at best that he may not be 100 percent or have lost a step. I would not see a need for Buffalo to pick him up unless there was a couple of injuries at the position.
  7. The only QB of that group that I genuinely enjoyed watching from beginning to end was Fitz. I did not think he was a star, but always felt like he was likeable and made the most out of his opportunities given who he had to throw to most of the time. Of the rest, Peterman and Tuel were the hardest to watch. Many of the others would show flashes of promise in the beginning that gave me hope, but either never get better or badly regress.
  8. Glad to see this. We finally have a long term Franchise qb for the first time in 25 years.
  9. I got the vaccine but respect others choices, until these become FDA approved(yes I understand what EUA is), these should not be forced or "strongly suggested" by any group. On the other hand, I completely understand the safety protocols that the NFL is putting in place. It sounds like there is some disagreement within the NFLPA with many others not in a position to take the same stance as Beasley. Hopefully, a solution can be worked out that does the best possible combination of preserving safety and not making players feel so restricted. It is a shame just how quickly some fans can so easily turn on a player who besides maybe Allen represented the heart, soul and effort of this team last year as well as any player on the Bills.
  10. I am an Orioles fan and am almost certain that if Josh Allen joined that roster today, that he would not be their worst pitcher.
  11. Defense-Schobel was decent on some awful lines, and would have been great on this current line or even the 2013-2014 one. Even Kelsay would have been a perfectly fine rotation player on this squad, he just took a lot of heat due to being vastly overrated by the team ownership and counted on to do way too much. Offense, Moulds is an obvious one, but Lynch could have done great things with this current Bills team. Fitzpatrick did okay for himself given who he had to throw to between 2010 and 2012. He would have been an ideal backup to Allen(although I am happy with Trubisky).
  12. The only reason why I do not see EJ as nearly as bad of a bust as many other bad picks is because there were no other quarterbacks that year whatsoever that would have fared any better. The bigger fault of the franchise was ignoring the need for add any significant quarterback and counting on Fitz to not only be a franchise QB but to never get injured. Had Buffalo signed a veteran, drafted Wilson or even someone like a Dalton during the previous three years, the need to pick a quarterback that year would never have arose.
  13. I was thinking super bowl this year, but with Tre Walker gone, I am now having my doubts.
  14. As great as Allen was last year, Mahomes is the better QB until The Bills can win a Super Bowl and start consistently beating the Chiefs. With that being said, I would not make the trade. Both players are perfect fits for their team and culture and I am not sure that either one would improve in their new scenario.
  15. B I like the positions that they picked. The overall theme seems to be developmental players with high upside which means good long term potential but also a good chance for minimal impact from the picks in 2021. Maybe not the most exciting, but it beats the drought years before Pegula took over when the strategy seemed to be reaching for a player in a specific position way too early because it was a position of desperate need that was not addressed in free agency. My favorite pick was Basham in rd 2. The only pick that did not impress me was the Spencer Brown as I felt there were better options available at the offensive line during that phase of the draft.
  16. This is a promising pick. The combination of wild turkey and grey goose could potentially make Sundays exciting for years to come.
  17. I was a regular on a different message board at the time and he had quite the following on there. Many thought that he was the second coming of Warren Sapp
  18. In all fairness, EJ looked decent for a rookie at first with a near win over New England in week 1 and that comeback vs Carolina. Unfortunately, like many Bills QB's during the drought, early flashes of potential was always followed with a lack of improvement and/or regression.
  19. More recently that Sam Darnold was the sure thing franchise pick out of the 2018 qb class and that Buffalo should doing anything it takes to trade up for him. Worst all time, I felt that when Buffalo signed Brian Brohm off the packers practice squad that we just got our franchise qb of the future in what I thought was the steal of the century. This year my rankings for 1st rd qb's would be Lance, Lawrence, Wilson, Jones, Fields but based on my track record, you might be better off betting on the exact opposite.
  20. I honestly don't know a lot about the three players drafted, but I love the overall concept of improving the lines on both sides of the ball.
  21. This is a good thing, I do not see Jones as being that much of a threat.
  22. I will predict trading back to the 2nd, getting Harris and then using the 61st pick on the best available defensive player. I would prefer that they not pick a running back this early but would much rather have Harris than Etienne if they did go that route.
  23. JP was not a good QB but seemed to be a decent guy who gave it his best. His bombs to Lee Evans and Parrish were exciting to watch, but he could never really develop a short passing game anywhere near good enough to be a successful NFL starter. I always thought that if you combined Losmans deep passing, Edwards short passing and Fitz's determination and hustle that you could have had a franchise QB. Glad to see that he has made a career in the coaching field and hope that he does well. Stories like this are a good lesson that a person can recover and succeed in another field if they have a major failure or set back in their life or career.
