  1. If you went back in time 20 years and told me that the Democrat party would be the ones who didn't care about a cancer survivor and only clapped when an endless war was mentioned, I would have never guessed it.
  2. Honesty, think about what that looks like. Best case, Ukraine runs out of men and Russia takes more land. Worst case, the EU and US get involved and we are looking at WW3. Is that what you are willing to sacrifice? Even some of the regular lefty posters realize this. There has to be a path to peace.
  3. I support the Ukraine over Russia because Putin was the aggressor. I support working towards ending the war and keeping the Ukraine a sovereign nation which is what yesterday was working towards. I think that all three acted poorly which I have mentioned in other posts and that they should find a way to get back to talks again. Zelensky has valid concerns about Russia holding up their end of the bargain and I think that Trump is underestimating Putin's track record of doing this. Other than that I agree with the general direction of the plan and think that it was wrong for Zelensky to try to change the conditions at the last second when the public meeting was assumed to be a formality before the signing. That method is poor form and etiquette no matter what a negotiation is for in the business or political world. Three years ago, some people thought that Russia could take over the Ukraine within a month and Europe within a year. Three years later, they are at a stalemate with an extremely depleted army, that is not a victory from their end.
  4. I thought that only yes and no answers were allowed in this game. Why don't you want to answer? You can dish it out but you cannot take it. Also I never mentioned sending our troops, I asked if you support the deaths of hundreds of troops. In my question, I actually I meant Ukrainian ones, but you defaulted to US ones as if the Ukrainian ones didn't count. How ethnocentric of you. I thought that you supported Ukraine. Ask me your question in a neutral open-ended way instead of a leading agenda based one and I will acknowledge it. Until then, grow up.
  5. Do you support the deaths of hundreds of troops a day? Yes or no. No waffling, no excuses. Answer that because it is a direct yes and no question that has no other possible explanation or context and everything is black and white. See how that works from the other side? Now grow up and talk like an adult if you want to be taken seriously.
  6. Fixed it for you. Now ChatGPT, write a script calling the final drive of a Bills and Dolphins game playing the role of a TDS person if Musk bought the Dolphins.
  7. Thanks for the CNN recap. Now what are your thoughts on it? Edit: I personally think that all three were in the wrong for different reasons, but your "thoughts" look like someone asked chat GPT to summarize yesterday events in the role of a person which a severe case of TDS.
  8. I am not surprised by this. The Jets have never had an elite QB in the tier of Allen or Kelly, but they have had many QB's at the serviceable starter/slightly above average level until recently when they started the "draft a qb every three years who looks like a bust until they resurrect their career on another team" strategy. I remember many of the years without Kelly and Allen where the Jets sadly had the more stable QB situation.
  9. Ukraine has already said that they will continue to fight to the end either way. Occupied countries always keep fighting and resisting. I actually agree with you when you say that Putin should be stood up to. I also think that peace talks were necessary to avoid a destructive stalemate for years. Russia's military is depleted and weakened while Ukraine has lost a high percentage of their male population, it is beneficial for both countries to stop the war and I think that both leaders realize this. Without the aid of the US and Europe, Ukraine would have been beaten by mid-2022. If they are able to stay as a nation after all of this, that is a huge loss for Russia who has up to this point had no resistance when going after old soviet and eastern bloc countries. I was on board with the process but yesterday was a disaster. Hopefully both of them can cool down and a deal can still be worked out. When it does, I am sure that Fox will call it the best deal ever while CNN calls it surrendering to Russia. I will look at it myself to see what I think when the time comes.
  10. This was an obvious disaster. Granted, negotiations can get heated, but that is why it should not be live. Rather than follow fox and call Trump brilliant or follow CNN and call Zelensky a hero I will say that all of them acted wrong. Vance was wrong for interjecting when it was not has place and causing the escalated moments. Zelensky was wrong for trying to bait and switch the terms at the last second and play to the media. Trump was wrong for losing his temper like it was the opener of Monday night RAW and erupting like he was on the apprentice. Had he had more control and calmly said "it looks like we have more to discuss that we thought and that it would be better to finish this in private" and then excuse everyone, he would have looked like the better person, but that clearly did not happen. There are no winners here and it is a sad day.
  11. I am not sure if Buffalo has had ten long term starting caliber quarterbacks in their entire time, but here goes. 1) Kelly: I think that Allen is eventually number 1, but not until there is a Super Bowl on his resume. Kelly played at a time when it was tougher for quarterbacks and made the Super Bowl four times in a row. That still gives him the edge for now. 2) Allen: Number one for stats, number two for playoff success 3) Ferguson, 4) Lamonica, 5) Kemp: My earliest football memories were mid 80's, so I do not know a whole lot about them. Based on what i have heard over the years and seen on stats, they all had stretches of success that were more than any other Bills QB outside of Kelly and Allen. If anyone else old enough to remember them thinks that I got the order wrong, feel free to correct me. 6) Bledsoe: Bledsoe was a good pocket passer and put up decent numbers, but played behind some of the worst offensive lines that I remember. This limited his success 7) Flutie: Many say that he was toxic in the locker room and his success was shorter than most of the others on the list, but he had a couple of great years that kept Buffalo relevant and on the the national spotlight for a little longer after the Kelly era. 8 ) Reich: Although he was never technically a starter, he came through when needed and was behind some great moments in Buffalo history. Given the chance earlier in his career in the right situation, I think that he could have been a serviceable starter for a few years. 9) Tyrod Taylor: His two years in the Rex Ryan era were productive and with better defenses, he may of broken the drought a little earlier. Defenses had him figured out by 2017, but he deserves credit for helping break the drought. It was too bad about his injury in San Diego a couple of years later, I feel like he may have had another shot as a starter somewhere if that had not happened. 10) Fitz: Some may have him higher, but the numbers don't lie. Fitzy has an iconic personality, is one of the most popular Bills and had some good years on other teams, but his win/loss record and propensity to make crippling turnovers in Buffalo shortened his time here. He still makes the top ten because after that, you have a lot of busts, has been and never was options..
  12. Hey, maybe. It takes more that one month to gauge a President's impact on the economy, but there is no doubt that today's negotiation was a train wreck. I said that it would take a nuclear war for someone to be worse that Biden and my God, I meant that as a joke, not a prophecy.
  13. So they are cutting back on staff, mostly for probationary employees (which I would still question), but the thread title says "so much for the national weather service." with an implication that they will be "NO WEATHER FORECASTING FOR ANYONE!!!" This is how we Propaganda!!!!! Here is an article with the real version of the story. The cuts are 10 percent of employees which are mostly probational ones. Agree or disagree if you would like, but base it on the real numbers instead of the OP fearmongering. https://www.cbc.ca/news/science/noaa-doge-1.7471187 Edit: If they are already understaffed as the OP says, I don't like the decision either, I just think that a headline with the real news is enough instead of an extreme exaggeration.
  14. How are you getting that out of my statement, is it poor critical reading skills or a deliberate twisting of words? Ready? let's try this again. Biden (meaning the guy who served as last President) was so bad (My opinion is that his performance was extremely poor) that Trump or any other President (not saying Trump is great, just that the bar is very low with Biden) that it would take a nuclear or civil war (Biden was so poor across the board that only a large disaster would have made it worse) to make a president worse than Biden (this equals Biden really bad, not Trump really good). Understand yet?
  15. I would consider putting that card back in your deck and retiring it from the game altogether. The unemployment rate only counts those who are actively job searching and eligible to collect. If a person runs out of eligibility, or settle for a underpaying job, they are not counted towards that number but certainly not better off or doing well. It also does not count people who retired early because they couldn't find anything and the underemployed working side gigs and/or part time jobs. Even the dems are starting to admit that most of the economy stats during Biden's term were an inflated sham. Talk to anyone that is job hunting or run a search on the topic on your preferred social media outlet for "job searching 2024" and you will see quite a different sentiment from people of all ages, races, genders and walks of life. In 2024, Thousands of people out there could not find any job. Not a job in their field, any job. People have to put out hundreds of applications and go through multiple interviews to even get an entry level minimum wage job in many areas. Some may dismiss it is "they are just lazy or underqulaified.", "it's okay because I have a job" or worst of all "It'S aNeCdOtAl!", but the sheer volume of clips with the same experience make me think otherwise. It is not really any better in 2025 yet and remains to be seem whether Trump will improve that, but jobs were not good under Biden. Regarding the second question "You think Trump is so good that only a nuclear war would make him worse than an actual successful President?" The answer is no, I think that Biden was so bad that it would take a civil or nuclear war for Trump or anyone other future president for that matter to be worse. Huge difference. Disagree if you want, but please don't twist my words.
  16. Are we going to pretend that your party did not do this with Trump? Hell, it was literally Biden, then Harris's entire platform. I know that progressives enjoy two-tiered standards, but this is ridiculous. Edit, I also find it hilarious that some dems on this board are saying "Yeah Biden was bad, but this is now!" Wait? Wasn't Biden the greatest President ever with a record economy? That is what we were told by politicians, media and trolls for four years. Are you admitting four years of lying?
  17. Agreed, I am in Rochester, and yes it is nice to have warmer temperatures. I grew up in the 90's where we had a stretch of brutal winters tougher than this, but this was the worst one in a few years. Rochester doesn't get the massive lake storm that Buffalo and Oswego can get, so we were spoiled by three or four straight milder winters.
  18. Do you really think that race is the reason that she was fired?
  19. The whole process was shady, they dismissed the hundreds of reports on VAERS as anecdotal for the mRNA options, but pulled J&J and made it looks like poison on the media for fiteen blood clot cases cases which included some who had not disclosed that they also got the Pfizer or Moderna one. I've heard mixed things on the side effects and don't know the extent, but the bigger crime to me was the media hiding for the first few months that it did not stop you from getting COVID but only masked the symptoms. I understand that this may have reduced deaths in the short term, but if COVID has a connection to autoimmune diseases like some think, then that vaccine created a silent death sentence for thousands or millions. I am totally for vaccines. However, if something similar happens in the future, there should always be a choice, the government should allow the most effective and not the most profitable, and there should be full disclosure on what it does and does not do.
  20. These are the same people that were all the way up to 2024, trying to tell us the bad economy under Biden was global and to give it time, three years in. What this means is as soon as the economy gets better, they have lost the ability to credit Biden's policies for the changes. If it is Trump's fault right away as they are impliing, that also means that is policies were in place and than anything positive in the future is also credited to him, can't have it both ways. Any statement otherwise only exposes them for being foolish and hypocritical.
  21. Oh my God!!!!!!! Eggs are expensive and it is ALL Trump's fault, even the December increases!!!!!!!!! If Harris was in, they would have NEVER gone up. The media is right, Trump is Hitler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. It looks like this thread was started back in the peak of the COVID vaccine release. It is dated since things have changed a lot since then, but I think that it would be smart for everyone to separate the issues with mRNA vaccines from others. For example, I feel like the mRNA COVID vaccines were not effective, and forced on us without giving out truthful information about them,. I also believe that most vaccines are beneficial, got J&J, then Novavax instead for COVID and feel that anyone who refuses a polio or MMR vaccine for their child is not making a wise choice. Surely most of us have to be somewhere in between "My baby will get herd immunity if they get Polio" and Get your 5th booster cause Travis Kelce said so!"
  23. Many on the democrat side have believed that about Soros and Gates for years. The reality is that billionaires are very deliberate with where they invest their time and money and there will always be an ulterior motive beyond the "kindness of their heart." What is Musk's motive? We will find out at some point. I don't fully trust Musk but I find it funny how billionaires backing a party all of the sudden became taboo when one backed a different one from the rest.
  24. "It's the best sports moment since Colin Kaepernick overcame two missed free throws by crossing 4th base to score a touchdown in the third period to win the world cup and secure trans-women's rights to play high-school sports while defeating racism!"
