Bills trade with Browns for Corey Coleman
KingBoots8 replied to 17islongenough's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gonna echo just about everyone else- it’s a shot in the arm of arguably our weakest position. Guy has upside and we didn’t have to trade much to get him. He’s low cost and if he looks good we can add that 5th year on. This is a win for the Bills, and yet another great move by Beane. -
Top 10 biggest traitors in Buffalo Bills history
KingBoots8 replied to greenyellowred's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel McGahee was a bigger traitor than Lynch. Sat out year one, played 3 for us and wasn’t bad, but sure thought he was #1 in the league (even though he was never a top 5 back here). He talked about moving the team to Toronto and talked a bunch of crap about Buffalo in general. Screw that dude- Lynch hurt for sure but when he left I felt I could cheer him on. When McGahee left I was hoping he would get stuffed every play. I say swap those two. -
I’m lucky to say even on the ones I “missed” on, I’ve had fairly good luck with my jersey choices. I got a Mario Williams jersey his first year here, and Dareus his second year in. While they didn’t last too long in the grand scheme of things, they were great jerseys to have (especially considering that amazing 2014 season they had). i have the following jerseys aside from those 2: 12 Jim Kelly SB25 12 Jim Kelly AFL 35th anniversary 8 Brian Moorman 8 50th Anniversary AFL jersey (custom nameplate) 95 Kyle Williams (New design, but the one year Reebok made them) I feel like these days you can only reliably get a jersey from the glory days (SB era, 64-65 era, OJ if you want to get strange looks once in a while) or for well respected players during the drought (Moorman, Kyle Williams, Fred Jackson, Aaron Schobell). Anything else is a crap shoot at this point- maybe Allen if you’re feeling brave, or McCoy (although I would wait until the season starts lol)

Wouldn’t the easiest way to avoid any issue at all be to simply play the anthem before the players enter the field? I mean, sure, it’s “less patriotic” but at the same time it eliminates the controversy entirely. Uncle Sam won’t send checks to the NFL anymore (or they won’t be as lucrative) but now it’s done.

LeSean McCoy allegations
KingBoots8 replied to FeelingOnYouboty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His only saving grace is that if she knew the objects in question and pegged this assault on him, she could add credibility to her story by stating that the intruder asked for those specific items. There are a lot of concerning circumstances related to the situation at hand. I won’t make any declarations until the investigation has had time to sort the half truths from the truths. I hope McCoy didn’t do anything, but should he be guilty I’ll be happy to move on from him. -
What jerseys do you own?
KingBoots8 replied to Seanbillsfan2206's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jim Kelly SB 25 and 35th Anniversary Moorman Dareus (Nike) Kyle Williams (New style, pre-Nike) I want to add a new one this year. I’ll probably get an Allen jersey, although Harrison phillips is an option. Big part of me wants to find a way to get a Kelly jersey from when he played with the Gamblers. -
I hope they saw something special. Make or break time. Just have to trust the process now and see what happens.

Is there a rush to judgement on Peterman?
KingBoots8 replied to Sky Diver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We need to call Jeff Tuel up and let him get a “fair shake” too while we are at it- poor guy wasn’t given a whole season to show his stuff. look, I’m sure Nate is a good guy, and probably a better QB than we have seen, but he needs to take the opportunities he gets and run with them. He’s got to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that he’s better than what we have/had at starter. He did not. Perhaps next time- if there is a chance- he can do it... but he has shown nothing to this point that he is the future HOF QB for the Bills. We have a potential prospect in a Rookie via the draft, and McCarron. They’ll go to camp and the best prostpect will start. Peterman has until then to show us something we haven’t seen yet. -
I’m not sure about that- he did absolutely get his bell rung that game... but a few weeks later he went 25-30 260+ yards and 1TD vs the Chargers. Maybe it was a fluke but he looked good through that game. Afterwords we collapsed in glorious Buffalo fashion

Forget the first 3 picks: what about #4?
KingBoots8 replied to KingBoots8's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This list shows them as having their 3rd rounder they gave to us for Tyrod- is this list correct aside from that? -
Forget the first 3 picks: what about #4?
KingBoots8 replied to KingBoots8's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m betting it’s the latter- I’m thinking the colts want Chubb and they’re not going to get him at 12. 6 is highly likely. It makes sense for them to do so and gain some picks. -
So the Jets did what they did... I can’t fault Indy for doing it either since they’re still going to get their guy most likely at 6 since everyone else is fighting it out for QBs in the top 5. Its going to take a hell of a lot to get to #2 now. Maybe too much... and #1 is out of the question. Since Cleveland has the draft capital and many holes to fill, would a trade for #4 be a possibility? I’d imagine with all the QB craziness that Cleveland would absolutely get their QB at #1. Giants MIGHT roll QB #2, and the Jets obviously would. If the Giants decide to get Barkley at #2, do we send Cleveland some picks for #4? I cant imagine Cleveland passing Barkley if he’s there at 4. If Darnold and Rosen are taken 1&3, we can get Mayfield (or Allen, but not my preferred choice) at 4. Obviously this is a draft day type of trade, but if this plays out I can see Beane making some phone calls to Cleveland. What would it take to get 4? Both firsts and maybe a later second?
-
He’s certainly got the skill set, but would he be a good fit with McDermott and his no-BS coaching style?
-
I’m not too keen on Ivory as our starting RB- we aren’t getting Barkley so there’s no way I’d entertain this. We will have our QB in the draft and we will have a Vet of some kind to hold the fort down until he’s ready. if Philly won’t part with Foles for a second he can remain there- they may need him week one anyway.

you gonna be ok?

Tyrod Taylor Thanks Buffalo
KingBoots8 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nothing but respect for the guy. I hope you do well in Cleveland. He could still help the Bills by stealing some wins from Baltimore and Pittsburgh and helping our playoff chances indirectly. He dealt with some crap during his time here, and he took it in stride and remained a professional. Thank you Tyrod for giving it your all- best wishes. -
I’m excited to see where the Bills go from here- they obviously have some sort of plan in mind. Id prefer to find “our guy” to stick around for 15+ years, so whatever it takes to get there is fine by me. Would it be nice to get a vet QB and keep as many picks as possible? Sure, if it makes sense. As it stands, we have the resources to get whoever we deem worthy... it’s up to McDermott and Beane to get this right. ...and with that, I’d like to thank #5 for being a class act and doing his thing. He helped end the drought and put us into a position to get a potential long term answer for our position. Thank you Tyrod.

Bradford will be the Available Viking QB
KingBoots8 replied to 1st Ammendment NoMas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you had asked me even 8 weeks ago which QB from the Vikings was going to be on another team next year, I’d have bet the farm on Keenum. At this point, after this game, there is no way they let him go. Bradford, while a good QB, is guaranteed to miss 3 games a season minimum due to an injury. Bridgewater was looking good prior to his injury, but nobody knows how good he can play because Keenum has proven to be capable of leading this team, and has not not needed to relinquish his hold on the position. At this point, they have to know that he has the support of his team- look where they are thanks in part to him. Even if they had doubts before, that whole team has to be on board with Keenum for today and for the next season. He’s earned it. that being said, I don’t believe we would go after either of the other Minnesota QBs at this point. Keenum is the only one we would likely consider of the three. -

Looks like that playoff drought doesn’t get to vote of buy cigarettes next year! ITS OVER!!!!!! Win or lose come Sunday, we made it. With a little luck and some true determination (and sometimes in spite of ourselves) we are officially a playoff caliber team -
