  1. Normally I would agree, but for an immediate impact player I would absolutely do it. Day 1 starter. I’d rather have him than a potential PS player waiting to make a start 3/4 of the way into the season
  2. So, we obviously have a few needs to address like lost teams in the draft. With where we are picking, it’ll likely be the 3rd or 4th best player in their respective position in Round 1. We have a few players on Defense who were early picks and have been rotational in our system, which I am fine with as they get acclimated to the NFL. That being said, Punter is a definite need for this team. Haack certainly had some ugly punts this year, and while I don’t think we will or should address punter in round 1, it does beg the question on where we could potentially select him. This isn’t just some kid with a decent leg- he’s the holder of multiple NCAA record and has an average of over 50 yards per punt. He’s a legitimate generational talent at his position, and could significantly help the special teams in pinning back our opponents. If we were to go for him, what round do you feel comfortable taking him, and so you think he will last that long? I’d be totally fine in round 4 if he lasts that long, or moving a few late rounders to get back into the end of round 3
  3. “Not everybody gets to the Super Bowl and wins.” don’t worry boss- it’s gonna happen for you real soon.
  4. If he’s willing to come for cents on the dollar maybe, but the cost to availability ratio is just not in line. He’s going to put up numbers, sure…. But he’s also going to be out a few weeks minimum for injuries. No thanks. The best ability is availability. Put that money someplace else.
  5. Look, Nessie has an eye for talent and it costs about $3.50 so we should maybe hear her out
  6. I would think they’d be going for Donald or Rodgers after the SB / MVP allure
  7. God dang, we are lucky. Best QB in the league and the best Brittany in the league too. sorry Mahomes 🤷‍♂️
  8. I don’t make this trade. That being said: If I am being forced to make this trade, I am doing it for a veteran / known quantity. Why would I roll the dice on an unknown draft prospect when I can use the assets to get an elite level talent (not factoring cap in here, of course). Groot had a pretty good rookie year all things considered, and he likely will do better this coming year. I truly think if you are giving up those kind of assets, you only do it if you need a QB. Even those picks/players may not be enough
  9. Scorched Earth Season starts in September. Doesn’t end until Josh lifts the Lombardi.
  10. Allen defies all foregone conclusions about everything. 17 works. Josh is and shall remain the exception to the rules.
  11. Excellent. Consistency and familiarity are going to help the offense get better. Congrats Dorsey!
  12. What is he supposed to say? ”yeah, glad to be here and all, but MAN DOES OUR QB SUUUUUUUUUCK! On an unrelated note, I look forward to meeting my players and building a winning culture here *cough cough* except Danny Dimes *cough cough*” He’s going to bat for his guy, take a year to take a look at what he can do in a new system, try to get him some protection, and go from there. He sinks? he gets replaced next year. He swims? He continues playing until Arch Manning declares and the Giants tank for a year.
  13. What one are the Bengals in?
  14. Let’s see if they win before we decide how good an idea it is. Props to them for getting there, I’ll give them that. Eventually the check is going to come and they’re gonna have to pay it
  15. I believe Allen went down an absolute hero last week. Every time his back was against the wall and the game looked out of reach he would answer the call. Shot for shot - he never gave up. Mahomes is obviously an amazing QB, but the narrative after tonight won’t be so kind. He couldn’t get the job done and was a key piece in the downfall of the team tonight. one thing I will say… QB can be debated, but fanbase can’t. I know This place gets pretty doom and gloom after a loss, but ChiefsPlanet is an absolute meltdown rn. Burrow plays with a swagger, and he’s damn good too. Kid went from winning a National Championship in college (where he was an absolute stud) to getting injured midway through last year, comes back from a torn ACL and is now heading to the SB. Can’t take that away from him that’s for sure. All that being said, I’d never take anyone in the league over Allen. He is gonna pick up where he left off, settle some unfinished business, and go scorched earth next season.
  16. XL? Seems a bit exaggerated. Is that like dressing for the job you want and not the one you have?
  17. Oh look, another reason to look forward to punching them in the mouth next year. Go for it bud, see you on the 50 yard line when you’re done dancing.
  18. I have been thinking about this for a few days now, seeing as how the OT rules are already better than they used to be. If you asked me to come up with a new system tomorrow here is what I would propose: OT would result in each team getting at least one possession to score points. The team that gets the ball first may punt, score a field goal, or a touchdown. The second team must beat the previous teams points: 1. if the first team punted, the second team can kick a field goal to win. 2. If the first team kicked a field goal, the second team must score a touchdown to win. 3. If the first team scored a touchdown, the second team must also score a touchdown AND a 2 point conversion to win. The only way to end the game without each team getting a possession is if the first team gives up a safety on their possession, or if they go downfield, score a touchdown AND a 2 point conversion themselves. If they convert the 2 points they win, if they fail they only score 6 and the second team can then simply score a touchdown to win. High risk/reward. if each team has a possession in which they both punt, the next team to score any points is the winner. I’m not sure how good this works but in my head it seems to be fair.
  19. My advice to anyone considering hiring him: do as he did when he was in Buffalo: Run, Run, and ultimately Pass
  20. My order of who I want to win goes like this: 49ers - Man it would really piss Brady off that his former replacement is now on his favorite childhood team and won. Maybe he’d retire? Idk. Nobody on the team I hate, so there we go. Bengals - Cinci is another downtrodden franchise that may have finally found some answers. Burrow has had some of the most incredible football over the past 3 years, and Chase is an absolute monster. They helped us break the playoff drought, but you don’t really want to build up another monster team too much - they may have to be taken down next year. That being said, go for it. Rams - McVay may finally have mortgaged enough of their future to build a winner. Stafford winning one would honestly be really cool after suffering in Detroit for so long. That being said Jalen Ramsey would get a ring, and that’s just a shame. Still, good on them. They have some amazing players and they would pose a tough out for any team. KC - look, I don’t hate Mahomes. He plays with a chip on his shoulder like Josh does, and he’s definitely talented. Kelce is one of the best TE’s ever. Tyreek helped me win 2 fantasy leagues this year so that’s lovely, even if he’s a garbage person. …but after Andy Reid’s kid last year, the games we have played against them, Mahomes insufferable baby mama, and his absolute doofus brother, not to mention the chiefs fans who (while not all of them) say some tremendously awful things online… screw em. I hope they get humiliated and just fall flat.
  21. I don’t hate Patrick Mahomes, and the Chiefs are a well built team. Their fans are especially grating, but worse than that are his idiot baby mama and doofus brother. The only thing I would enjoy almost as much as the Bills winning is watching them melt down.
  22. would Gronk be content being TE2? Let’s be real Knox isn’t losing TE1 after the year he just had. Gronk is older and slower, not to mention his durability is still an issue. Do we spend money on Gronk knowing he may not be available when we need him, or use those funds elsewhere?
  23. I’m sure That would be an interesting reunion he’d have with Tre…
