I actually just had a realization, based on what I was saying in the Watson/Dorsey thread: Unless DJ is doing some heinous off the field stuff, his football play should only be thrown at him when he’s playing football. I said if I got $230m I’d sign the paper even if it meant people would talk crap about me, but I’d also be pretty annoyed if I had to deal with it in my face when I’m just trying to get home. (I do hope he got in his super car and flipped the bird to the “fans” when driving home to his mansion, as I said I would have done in that thread) Watson on the other hand is a villain OFF the field and deserves to be reminded of it. Screw that guy.

I get that it comes with the territory to a point, but for the love of God leave the dude alone. Boo him on the field when he plays bad, sure, but he has the right to be human. If we had thousands of people taking the piss out of us any time we made a mistake it would take a toll after a while. Doesn’t matter how much he’s paid (though I’m sure it helps) but when he isn’t working he shouldn’t have to deal with mouth breathers yelling at him.
