  1. I mean sure why not, but also why? I'm sure there's at least one closeted gay player in the NFL, are they trying to bait him into coming out or something for marketing purposes?
  2. I bet he's glad he still has his job, it was a close shave.
  3. Great news for the league. False positives should get a 3rd test though to make extra sure imo.
  4. I heard the league has the stadium for the superbowl reserved for all of february. The worst case scenario would be shoving bills @ titans in as the lone week 18 game giving us no rest for the playoffs.
  5. Hurricane Goodell about to hit Nashville as a category 5...
  6. I feel like a more accurate player comparison for Favre to make would have been, y'know, himself.
  7. Assuming his play stays at around the same level for the rest of the season, expect him to sign a deal at least as valuable as Watson's after this season. Anyone talking about how he should take a "hometown discount" can use their time machines to go back to when Ralph was alive and running the team.
  8. A bubble would never have worked with 1500+ players and a million staff. But there were obvious things they could have done like giving every team a 2nd bye week for more rescheduling flexibility in case of an outbreak like we're seeing right now with the Titans, or an extra week between week 17 and the playoffs for the same purpose. If the Bills/Titans game ends up getting postponed past week 5, what do they do with it? They already moved the titans bye week to this week. The league was hesitant to even postpone titans/steelers until monday or tuesday when titans players first tested positive. It just seems like they're burying their heads in the sand as much as possible, hopefully I'm misreading the situation.
  9. As long as it doesn't impact his ability to take snaps it should be fine.
  10. Whatever benefit the titans get from extra rest for players with minor or lingering injuries is massively outweighed by not even being able to use their facilities, to say nothing of how most of the players who tested positive likely won't be cleared to play against the Bills. The actual concern with this game is the bills catching corona from the titans.
  11. Blue on white is the best imo, I don't know why we're becoming like the cowboys and wearing white when possible.
  12. A point system with the points (slowly) decaying over time is the best system imo. Politics and corona discussion deserve whatever the maximum number of points is; this is a football message board, I highly doubt anyone comes here to talk about corona when they're inundated with it in the rest of their lives.
  13. I was a Lamar doubter for the longest time, but the kid can ball. He's like the best possible version of Kaep and the reigning MVP, it's silly to say his era has ended after one bad game. Personally I wouldn't build my offense around the run game like the Ravens have and am much happier to have Allen and a strong passing attack, but come on.
  14. I would normally agree but Allen and Darnold are BFFs
  15. If I were voting for MVP today, I would have to go with Wilson with Allen a close second. To me it will come down to how the teams look at the end of the year. If Wilson and Allen have similar statistical seasons but one team is 12-4 and the other is 10-6, it's going to go to the guy on the 12-4 team. Having any sort of conversation about this in week 3 is ridiculous though, especially since the last two MVPs haven't even played their third game yet!
  16. I'm terrified of them running the ball down our throats all game, gonna have to have a hot start and put them in catchup mode most of the game.
  17. What a weird exception to the rule. If I had to guess I would assume the reason it's like that is because sacks are big impact plays and league wants as many of them as possible to stand for marketing purposes.
  18. Glad to see the NFL getting its annual tie out of the way early
  19. Kroft stepped up big today, hopefully he can firmly establish himself as TE1 while Dawson "Stone Hands" Knox sits on the bench.
  20. A rising tide lifts all boats, so they say. Here's to keeping the passing success going in week 3!
  21. This board would have gone absolutely nuclear if we had paid Robert Woods 16m+/yr
  22. Big nickel the entire game with Neal, here we go.
  23. Dan Fouts put up those numbers in the 70s when it was significantly harder for a QB to have great stats and made first team all pro multiple times. I would argue that he was the first heavy passing volume "modern" QB and absolutely deserves to be in the HoF. Bledsoe played in a gentler era with only one second-team all pro, which HoF voters care quite a lot about. Bledsoe was never dominant in his era like Fouts was.
