Welcome to the Playoffs, Buffalo Bills!!
BillsFan692 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Im concerned about our coaches though we cant play so conservative if we really want to take a shot this post season. They should play more free now. They made the playoffs, defied expectations and are playing at this point with HOUSE MONEY!!! Why not just have a team meeting and tell them all coaches and players to let er rip -
Oh. the emotional ups and down in a football game.... but thats why we watch right? Josh is always better in 2nd half then 1st but that conservative play calling was still gutless and ugly im glad they unleashed him on the last drive and im glad they put singletary back even tho he has some security issues.

It never made any sense for the Buffalo Bills to fire greg roman after we scored 31 points on Monday Night Football.... That was Rex trying to blame someone for opening up 0-2 in 2017... Roman was a great OC and had the offense thriving under Tyrod just like he has the Raven's offense thriving under Lamar. Tyrod didn't turn into terrible-bad until after Roman was relieved. Then we all noticed that Tyrod sucked real bad -- funny how that works=P Biggest joke in all of football -- firing your OC after scoring 30+ and not your Defensive-Mastermind head coach who took a top 10 defense and put it in the pits.

Not really how football works though. The Raven's had been hammering allen all day and there were many occasions through out the day when Allen's protection didn't quite hold up or a free runner came loose to plow him. By the time the last play of the game was called, all of that (And the turn over) was firmly in Allen's head. Which is exactly what a high pressure defense like the ravens run attempts to do. It speeds up the clock inside the QB's head and starts making them feel pressure (Even when it isn't there) especially to avoid turning the ball over. As fans, how upset would we have been if Allen held on to the ball and took a sack on that final play? He was trying to do the right thing by getting it out quickly. Yes in retrospect on this particular play his protection was holding up and he could have moved a little within the pocket and bought himself another half a second before releasing. Perhaps the extra time would have allowed him to see Bease coming open on the sidelines... alas, it was not to be. The Raven's won on the last play because of all the other plays before it when our offense was being manhandled at the LOS. Of course Allen is to blame for that at least partially, he has to learn how to beat the blitz effectively in order to take pressure off of himself which is a common thread for bills QB's over the past 6 or 7 years. At the same time, the OL holds some blame for being too weak at times. And lets not forget about that -awful- (and I mean terrible) route that Brown ran on the final play which got him no separation, no clean cuts and no fight to the ball. So I mean, lots of blame to go around for what went wrong in that game as a whole and also what went wrong on the final play. At that point we were only playing for a tie so who knows.

Josh Allen - week FOURTEEN report card

No QB is perfect they have all had bad games and they all miss deep throws which by definition are statistically low percentage completions. You are just an Allen hater whose bias shows in emotional hot takes after a loss. I dont think allen played great, but watching the NFL for so many years ive seen lots of great QBs not play great. -
All these idiots going on about the 2 personal foul calls on our final drive you do realize that Buffalo had a 20+ yard first down from singletary called back on a phantom hold immediately after which almost totally negated the +30 we got from those two calls? We lost the 20+ yard run and got a 10 yard penalty tacked on. Anyone talking smack about the beasely call is out of their minds. He got dragged down at midfield. Perhaps he did embelish but also perhaps not. You ever have someone tug downward on you from behind while running full speed? It was contact because the db got beat. All these "bills fans" (in quotes because your fandom is suspect) debating whether or not the pass was catchable make me sick.

Josh Allen - week FOURTEEN report card

He just played what is considered the best overall team in the NFL and lost by 7 while being on their 20 to score. I like our chances against Steelers/jets -

D. Would have been an F if not for fourth quarter heroics -
This route by brown looks pretty bad. Is that how dabs drew it up? I feel like his vertical route should be more straight and his cut to the middle more sharp. Hell id have been happy for him cuting to the middle hard at any point but instead its just like a lazy looking route to me *shrug* hindsight is 20/20 but I feel like we need more WR help. If allen had waited another 0.5 sec he might have saw beasely coming open... of course same fans expecting that are the guys that say "he held onto football too long all day" so you cant win either way. If he holds it there and takes a sack everybody would be crying even harder.

Agreed no need to keep him he hasnt lived up to the hype. I could do without McKenzie too personally

Disappointing to see Josh continually over theow those open shots... Ugh but our O just isnt a complete unit right now. Our D is, though.
