i actually don't get the insult. man I am getting (am?) old. embellish please
What's not to get. He made an assumption about her gender because of her line of work.

I don't mind women in sports.
But let's be real. They find hot chicks. They teach them what they need to know. They coach them on what to say. And, because they are professionals, they learn.
I would bet my son's life on the fact that ZERO of the women on TV for football, were football enthusiasts growing up. They're entertainers and they've learned their parts.
They don't know schit about running routes and Cam Newton knows it.
Should he have said it? Perhaps not. Perhaps so.
I applaud him, personally.
Maybe we should do our homework before criticizing women reporters.

I'm not saying all women reporters are like this, but this girl seems to be legit. Actually, loves football and tries to digest as much as possible.
We sit here and praise the guys who watch the all-22 and give a breakdown. They all claim to not be coaches, yet we take their word for what they see. She never claimed to be a coach. She asked a question about routes and he blew her off like she didn't know anything because he thinks any women in sports doesn't know ****. While that might be the case with some, it ain't with all.

He said what most men think, except he shouldn't have said it.
He's just not very smart.
He'd be better served to ignore asinine questions from all reporters.
That wasn't an asinine question, but a rather nice thought out question. She asked him about Xs and Os, and he answered like, 'Well, your female, so you clearly can't have any clue about routes."
so he found it funny. is she out there running routes? I took a quick look. no videos or evidence she does? okay, so she is a sports writer and I'm sure she has some familiarity of how the routes are run but it looks more like poking fun at her then insulting?
like I said, sensitive reporter and the media is eating it up. I find it to be no big deal. now if he cussed, called her a whore or something like that. yes, that would be insulting.
lets make a bunch of something out of nothing.
Just because she never actually ran routes doesn't mean she doesn't know what she is talking about.

Good read. Jones will figure it out. Those 399 catches can be deceiving because he wasn't playing against top-level talent like he is in the NFL. Takes some time to adjust.

50% chance at playoffs, wonder what that moves to if we beat Cinci.
If we beat Cincy, based off of team records right now, we should make the playoffs at 10-6. That's if we sweep the Dolphins, Jets, and beat the Colts and Chargers, and then get one more win out of the remaining games. I mean, New England is vulnerable right now, so we can definitely split with them.

It seems to me that you should be able to interchange tackles. Dawkins played well on Sunday, so when Glenn comes back, why couldn't you throw him in at RT and expect him to be just as productive as he was Sunday?

I'm good with 3-1 and virtually two drafts next year!
If you think were picking six players in the first three rounds your wrong. We'll either trade #1s for a QB, or trade some twos and threes for future picks.
I just don't see how you can use six picks in the first three rounds in one draft. Hit and miss could be big.

Hot take, Gilmore has one interception and two passes defended in a New England romp of Tampa Bay.
-
In no way shape or form should he be on the Wall of Fame. That would completely cheapen the legitimacy of it. How is this even a discussion? Guy had one mediocre season, Hell Tyrod has done more than him.

Out team is gutless.

What terrible bull **** penalties. Hyde engaged with the running back well before going out fo bounce, that isn't a late push he simply let the running back go. Then that roughing the passer, he actually let up and Trevor even went to the ground. Such bull ****. My god. We need all the help we can get and the refs just gifted them 30 yards for no real reason.
-
Hopefully this means we are bringing Mabin back. I wanted to see one of my favorite players in camp actually get a shot. See what he can do in a real NFL game.

What OC can look good when your QB does this on a ton of passing plays
Did he ever even look at that side of the field? Can't throw it where you can't see it. Not trying to be a TT apologist, just wondering where his progressions where. This isn't madden, you don't get to see every route develop at once.
Not trying to defend him. I think he leaves a lot to be desired, but still think he is a better option that Peterman.

The same Falcons team that barely beat the Bears in week 1. We have quite a way to go before we know who the best team is.
You could blame that one on the Super Bowl hangover, and they still found a way to win.
-
Wow, Refs don't understand how picks work.
Both penalties were terrible calls, especially the first one, since it happened within the one yard zone that is okay.
-
Just absolutely dominating the Packers. They had some lean years with Matt Ryan, but they are being rewarded for sticking with him, when fans wanted to get rid of it.
-
Well, at least Dareus is back out there.
-
If they truly want to evaluate Tyrod, why do we handcuff him? If he isn't allowed to run the full playbook, when even play him? Just play the rookie if that's the case.
-
Wide open every time. Wtf
-
Why are we leaving their receivers wide open?
-
Ref is in concussion protocol
-
That ref is being an absolute cry baby

Yarbrough didn't come from the Colts! These annocouers are drunk.

If we can't sustain a drive it won't matter how good our offense is.
