  1. Could Barkley have had a good game because there was no pressure? He could take chances downfield and play loose because if he failed, no one was going to blame him. This offensive roster "lacks talent," he only had six practices in the playbooks, etc. would have been used. It's a lot easier to let it sling when it really doesn't matter.
  2. His actions will speak louder than words. If they release Barkley, and keep Nate then like I don’t know. I fully expect that Peterman will be gone, but he isn’t just going to go out there and crush a guy in a presser.
  3. Al Michaels thinks its 2019. lol
  4. For all the stars the Ram have on defense they give up an awful amount of points. I think the Saints are the most complete team. Rams better hope they win it this year or next. They are going to be in cap hell soon.
  5. Because if we had a competent offense two weeks ago, we would have beaten the Pats.
  6. What if the light came on for Barkley and we have the next Drew Brees?
  7. Wow. How the hell did this offense just score 30 points on the road against what’s supposed to be a decent Jets defense?
  8. It sucks that we could have had JU JU without trading up. Although, he wasn't that great in college. He also seems smaller now than he did in college.
  9. Man, what a great story. I got to meet him in Minnesota and took a picture with him. Awesome guy!!
  10. You said Pegula will need to put financial restraints on them because you just assume that they are going to go out and blow $90 million in cap space on bloated contracts when the two have said all along that they plan to build through the draft. Pegula won't need to put financial restraints on them because their philosophy on how to build a team, right or wrong, isn't about overspending in free agency. Of course, they aren't going to say that. However, they could say things like wanting to bring in top talent through free agency. That they don't value draft picks as highly, and so on. Except, they have never said anything of the like, which is why NewDayBills first post was so miss informed.
  11. The bolded statement is false because McBeane has said repeatedly they were going to save cap room for signing homegrown talent. That's what I was pointing out.
  12. Where did I say they were going to stay 90 million under the cap. Come on, dude. Your first post made it sound like you think they'll go out there and blow all this money in long-term contracts, without realizing that McBeane has said all along they want to use cap money to sign homegrown players. Guess what, there is this little thing called the collective bargaining agreement. NFL teams have to spend at least 90 percent of their cap each year. If McBeane wants to keep money for resigning players, then they'll probably make a few splashy signings, but mostly have depth guys on short-term or one-year deals. I was simply pointing out that you made a statement that was completely false, and had you actually followed this team you'd have known what you were saying was complete nonsense.
  13. The ignorance on this message board is plain laughable. McBeane has said several times they want to build through the draft and use cap space to sign the good, homegrown players to extensions. McDermott isn't going to go out there and completely eff up the cap situation in one offseason that he has spent the last two helping to clean up. Can we please pay attention as fans. Please.
  14. I count 13 defensive minded head coaches. Of those 13, Rivera, McDermott, Lewis, Tomlin, Zimmer, Carroll, Bill B., and Quinn have made the playoffs in the last three seasons. Three — Matt Patricia, Steve Wilkes, and Mike Vrabel — are in their first year. Bowles and Joseph are awful.
  15. I want to see us lose every game 24-21. We get a good pick, but both sides of the ball show improvement.
  16. I always find these posts funny. Clearly, posters like you don't pay close enough attention to this team. Beane has said time and again that he wants to build this team through the draft, and use cap space to keep the good, homegrown players. Beane might sign one or two guys to bloated contracts if they are worth it, but I'd expect a lot of depth, 1-year deals to keep cap space available to sign homegrown players. Might want to check our GMs philosophy before going on about stuff like this.
  17. I think it all comes down to personnel. If he has the Chiefs' personnel, I don't think we would see this conservative game plan, or at least what you claim is conservative. I don't see it, I just see ineptitude on the roster, especially at the QB position, which makes things look a lot more conservative than they are intended to be. Time will tell. I wouldn't be so quick to write off these guys. A lot of new head coaches in this league are struggling. Vance Joseph, who is only in his second year, is going to be fired at the end of this year. Pat Shermer is supposedly an offensive guru hasn't turned the Giants around. Mike Zimmer is a defensive minded head coach and his team is perfectly good on offense. I just think it takes time to employ a plan. It is either fire them both now, hire a new GM who then hires a coach, so the two can work together with the cap space and draft capital. Or, you stick it out with these guys through two more years from this exact point. They get next year and half the following year to turn it around, and maybe you fire them next year if you see no improvement what so ever.
  18. You don't think McDermott wants to score on every possession?
  19. Brady really should retire if he wins it all this year. Go out on top before father time catches you.
  20. It also won't matter because they don't throw flags on the Pats. Rodgers took a blow to the head on the last sack, and there was no call.
  21. Not if this Allen character refs all their games.
  22. When we have 18 million of these threads every week. Yes, yes they should.
  23. What a block by Ingram. Completely flipped the dude. Than easy run in for Kamara.
  24. How do you know it’s a flawed plan? Big if, but would this year be forgivable if we win two Super Bowls in the next five years? We don’t know what the future holds.
  25. Isn’t that Allen’s ceiling with his physical traits?
