Stefon Diggs - “I watched the game five times”
metbill replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
At some point, there has to be some high level accountability. Listening to the national shows we are back to the stigma of just are not able to win the big game. The actual results back that up. This year we were miles away from having a shot in the post season with not a lot of hope from a cap/draft standpoint of getting better. Diggs only has 2-3 years left based on his age of peak performance, he needs to get over the hump now. -
I would naturally prefer he lower the turnover numbers and try to hit the open check down a few more times a game. My only issue with JA is WHO he ends up throwing/forcing the ball to when he does not hit the checkdown and ends up with an INT or a bad miss. It always seems like it is Davis or Knox. I wish if he was going to throw into tight/double coverage, it was most often to Diggs. I can live with trying to force the ball to your best playmaker and it going bad. I cringe when I watch him force it in to Davis with 2 guys on him, realizing, even if open he would most likely drop the pass anyway. If every one of JA's INTs this year were to Diggs, I would almost be at peace with them all. Plus, Diggs is going to come down with some of those when blanketed.

I know what I want them to do, but we all also know what they WILL do, DL; S; DL; CB; ST/KR; WR or S The OL signings will come after the first few cuts in the pre-season next year. We have seen too many wasted early draft picks. At some point you have to have a 1st or 2nd rounder who is ready to compete every down at this level.

Perfect way to break the seal on the topics! I was so happy as well, broke out the good Scotch and me and my friends barely paid attention to the night game we were so pumped. Could not believe everything fell just how we needed it to. The only downfall is having to wait for next Sunday to get here so the Bills can put a little payback on the Jests and bring them back to reality.

We were in town for the Steelers game and hit everywhere we could over the weekend. The BFLO Store was the best, but Wegmans nearby had a lot of stuff as well for the house and man cave.

Well, I am a Mets and Bills fan.

I am sure he will have a breakout game soon. I do worry he has been lost in the shuffle as we are basically in the meat of our schedule and he has not been a big part. Statistically he is the 24th rated TE in the league. Of course my hopes are real selfish, I also have him on my fantasy team! I would guess with the nagging injury issues and the death of his brother, he is in a bit of a fog and trying to get re-centered. Whatever the case is, I really want to see him get back to being productive.

Saw today Murray is already hurt and limited in practice, I think McD even mentioned at the start. Why on earth would we sign an OL to help our hurt offensive line that is already injured???

Wow, there are more Beta's in here than a Petsmart fish department! I LOVED it!

Like it or not, we are one of the elite teams in the AFC right now. It is the Bills time and long overdue, we will kick the dogsh*t out of the Dolphins. Get used to us winning big games for the next few years, it is our time!

What is everyone doing for food for tomorrows game?
metbill replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall
Throwing a few pounds of wings on the smoker around noon and serve with some chips and queso and whatever else my neighbors bring over. I will wash them down with a variety of bourbons based on how the game is going. -
My thoughts are, "GREAT!" anything that hinders their development and cohesion as a team is always a plus. DO not want to wish illness or injuries on any of them, but, if it happens....better them than us.

Bills' ticket prices soar as new season fast approaches
metbill replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
I paid $438.00 per ticket for 4 tickets in 137 for the Steelers game. Wanted to roll the dice and wait until the last minute, but 4 together was a worry. -
I went ahead and got 4 tickets for the Steelers game for $450 each off SeatGeek. They are Section 137 Row 2. I wanted to make sure I had them and not worry about last ,minute bartering so I can safely plan travel and accommodations. I would have loved to have gotten them cheaper but am 16 hours away and didn't want the added stress.
-
Thank you! gonna pull the trigger today to make sure we get them.

I am buying 4 tickets this weekend for the Pitt game in October for two of my daughters to attend their first home game. I found 137 Row 2 seats on SeatGeek but am worried about the issue of them reselling my tickets for a higher price down the road. The tickets are not shown as available on the Bills single game ticket link to resale via Ticketmaster. I just wanted to check with the board to see if anyone has experience with SeatGeek for Bills tix. I do not want to wait until the last minute due to travel plans and hotel rooms. Thanks in advance for any advice! Go Bills!!!!

I agree, only problem I have is if I am one or two rows up in the uppers, I feel like I am almost watching on TV. I still enjoy the atmosphere anywhere in the lowers but the view in the uppers. Never landed club seats yet though, maybe this is the year!

If anyone remembers, the SEC Commish, roughly 7-8 years ago, floated the idea of a 32 team super conference that would break away from the NCAA and have it's own playoffs and national championship. I believe that is where they are headed and if the teams that are not in the SEC and B1G do not make a leverage move now to get in, they will be left out in the next few years. This is a cash and power grab to push the NCAA completely out of the large superpowers of college football. Now that NIL has broken the door down, the NCAA will be realized for how impotent it actually is.

Name 2 players drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 2022

Breece Hall - RB Damari Mathis - CB -
I think Beane manages not to lose. He knows we are good enough to compete/contend so why risk much more than that. It was KC the last 2 years, now add LAC as another place we may go to see our season end. It has been proven since Reggie White started free agency, small moves do not matter in the big picture. We were not better than KC when it mattered, are we today? Are we better than the Chargers or Broncos? I dont know but there is nothing that has happened in our free agency that says we are definitely better today than the end of the season. We are too close to not try to swing a big deal.

Khalil Mack traded to Chargers for 2nd and 6th round picks
metbill replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am sure we will sit tight and waste another pick on an average at best D-lineman who will never materialize. I would like for us to really address a need for once like we did QB. Do whatever it takes to get a home run at RB or a complete disruptor on D. It would be nice to have a piece added. I do not think we are good enough as the roster sits now to get over the hump next year. However I would not want Mack for that amount and current contract. -
Not sure where you saw that, all 4 of them picked the Bills. It is even still up on their Twitter from last week. Kyle picked the Bills to win.
-
Not sure why it gives them hope...earlier game this year we were only one bad Diggs drop away from the win, DESPITE a terrible game across the entire offense. NE only ran the ball because they had no choice, that is what having a noodle arm QB does to your team. Our QB can throw in what we will see weather wise on Saturday night and theirs cannot. Josh will have yet another W in cold weather as well as stepping on the throat of that crap in NE and closing down their season.
