    A team that knows it will have a new coach come January. Jets are in a better position moving forward If they are smart and hire the right person.

    Game has changed even since McDermott was hired. Also your using Bellichick as just a defensive guy to prove your point. Thats his offense Pats have been running for the past 18 years.

    BB knows offense just as much as defense. They have been running variations of his offense for 18 years now. These type of coaches no longer exist. Now hc run their side of the ball and pretty much give the opposite coordinator full control

    Not really. Marrone would have done it if the Bills had won afc games instead of sweeping nfc games. Last year the ball bounced the right way. Statiscally that was not a very good team.

    The new rules changed the landscape. Its no different than what the nhl went through a few years ago. Teams were building big heavy teams. Nhl changed some rules and now you dont need those guys anymore.

    The funny thing is out of those 3 needy teams. One of those hc's already has been fired. The second one will be fired (Bowles). and the third should be fired. I think with the nfl changing so fast in the last couple of years your going to see less dc's get head coaching jobs. Oc's are just to important.

    Problem with the proccess is it has to work on both sides of the ball. With McD your going to have a good defense. He schemes well and can find talent anywhere in the draft. Problem is its an offensive league an all the good ocs are going to get hc jobs.

    Sure you can, but it doesnt work when the person doing the hiring goes in a completely opposite direction because they dont understand the business they are hiring for.

    Well thats what is the difference between a good prospect and a good qb. A good qb adjusts right along with tape on them.

    when i was 20. Football was important. As I got older and had a family it became less important. Bottomline is football is played by millionaires who dont even know we exist. To them we are one of 70000 faceless fans in the crowd.
