  1. Not getting AB doesn’t really matter to me. But once again being reminded how irrelevant of a franchise/destination Buffalo is annoys me.
  2. The more I think about it the more I like that Beane was willing to ditch all the culture talk for an elite player. I prefer hardworking, nose to the grindstone types, too, but I’m willing to overlook a ‘me first’ diva when they are the best at what they do.
  3. I agree that AJ and Julio are more teams friendly guys but they both want success. Despite all of us on here being fans, can anyone of us say we expect success from this team in the near future? We are all hoping for success but what is a realistic projection for wins next year? What are the chances the Bills win the division? And I’m talking team success, which would rely heavily on the D to move them forward. Why would AJ or Julio entertain playing for this O? McBeane neglected the O so badly it needs a complete overhaul and it’s cornerstone is an unproven QB who may or may not be something. If I’m a desired skill position player, Buffalo and Zona are the absolute last teams I want to go to.
  4. Sal makes a good point, I hope he is correct. But is trading for a big time WR realistic? AB didn’t want to come here and I have a hard time thinking any elite WR would either. I’m not keen on taking Metcalf at 9, but maybe there isn’t much else Beane can do to bring in an elite WR talent.
  5. I suppose OBD could justify the trade attempt in this way, but it doesn’t ring true to me. AB would have been the biggest star and highest paid player on the team and is the opposite of what we’ve been sold for two years. You raise an interesting point about learning more about McBeane, I wonder if the players on the team are taking a second look at them and their culture philosophy.
  6. I just did. How can McD preach about culture and want to bring in a guy like Brown? It basically says all the junk about process and culture is BS, which I have always thought it is.
  7. I would say this attempted move from Beane/McD is more than interesting, it's counter to everything they have preached for two years. Going after the biggest "me first" guy in the league after spouting off about culture and "1 of 11" is laughable.
  8. It would be difficult to argue that any year's list of free agents couldn't help this Bills team, that wasn't really my point. When I look at that list I see some decent players but what stands out to me is that there aren't many intriguing players on the side of the ball we need a ton of help with. When Golden Tate and Jared Cook are the top options at the skill positions of need, I'd argue that the list is pretty thin. Yeah, that's where my mind went, too.
  9. Beane and his staff have their work cut out for them. That list of FA's leaves a lot to be desired, IMO.
  10. Agreed, I’d love to trade down with a QB needy team if the draft unfolded like this mock does.
  11. I like Crabbs, pretty funny guy. This mock, though, seems like worst case scenario for me. All of the blue chip talent goes early with few surprises and the Bills draft DK based on his athleticism. Crabbs down plays DK’s agility issues in the blurb, and maybe rightly so, but I would pass on a wideout who can only run north/south.
  12. Is the glaring exception, Ohio? I hope you have better taste than that, ?.
  13. I think most covered it already: bets, boredom, love of the game. For me, I root for UM players who I cheered for in college.
  14. This will be my first year with season tickets. Financially it doesn’t make a lot of sense, as I usually get to 2-3 games a year at well below face value. But my son is going to be 5 and I want to take him to a couple games and still go with friends to tailgate for a few. And I spent more on one ticket to the Green Bay game last year than a season ticket costs so they are still pretty cheap all things considered.
  15. Not sure if you intended the “seedy” pun, either way I threw up a little. Some LPGA golfer’s boyfriend got caught up in this sting too. I’m starting to wonder if maybe this place isn’t some dive but has some real talent. I need pics of the masseuses to be sure.
  16. I was thinking the same thing, he’s the only one to discuss mobility.
  17. Me, too. But I have seen some guys who feed off the talking, so as long as you are backing it up, I say do whatever works.
  18. Kudos to Beane, although Cleveland being Cleveland may have played a part too. Plus it seems like it’s a buyers QB market this year, more so than any year I can recall. Figures, too, after years of needing this market and it never materializing the Bills aren’t players when decent QBs are available.
  19. Based on what? Looking at PFF grades, the skill positions look close but the Cards Oline broke the machine. I agree. I wouldn’t say addressing Kingsbury’s comments was a necessity but I understand why they did it. I liked Rosen and wouldn’t give up on him based on last season.
  20. To your first point, I asked why the letter wasn’t addressed to all Bills’ fans. I didn’t state that the information was groundbreaking, I actually stated the opposite. Secondly, I meant to send the message figuratively. I’ll be sure to be more clear next time. It seems a few people misunderstood something I thought would be obvious.
  21. It’s a “me first” attitude to want the team to address the fan base collectively when it comes to the direction of the franchise? And simply questioning that marketing decision makes me selfish? It was just an observation but thanks for the snark and useful insight. And I get the logistics of literally sending out emails or letters, it was meant figuratively.
  22. TS compares objective fans with closeted homosexuals and goes on to command how posters should act, he deserved to have his sexuality and intelligence questioned, it was a natural progression. While I did insult him, deservedly, I don’t think I was acting tough, more reciprocating the disrespect TS showed.
  23. Nothing I said should be misconstrued as attempting to seem tough by anyone with a moderate grasp of the English language and average comprehension ability.
  24. I tend to get defensive when insecure people tell me how to think/act, especially when said people seem less than intelligent. Your issue is with fans being objective, you can’t seem to reconcile that you belief that a fan should be a one dimensional lemming. If you are that confident in the Bills we can wager on who wins the AFC East next year. Lastly, I find it more than coincidental that you couldn’t find a club in ATL that only has women dancing...
  25. Feel free to express your fandom however you choose. But don’t project your insecurities (both about the Bills and your “club”) on me....
