Glad it looks like Morse is going to be back shortly. I would imagine Bates will continue to get reps to see if he can be a nice Plan B. The Bills have to be concerned about Morse's ability to play a full season given his history and him missing a month after one contact practice.

WGR is probably just exploring all scenarios, I think this version of OBD has been pretty good at keeping things under wraps and I'd be surprised if there were leaks on medical evaluations. That being said, would it really shock anybody if Morse sat out a year or called it quits? Morse just signed a huge deal, with a ton of guaranteed signing bonus money, and has his entire life ahead of him. I know a lot of posters don't like to speculate on negative issues until they actually happen, and I respect that approach, but I think discussing issues from all angles is part of what makes a forum like this tick. Regardless, I think Beane should be doing everything he can to find a decent backup for Morse. Bodine playing significant minutes would pretty much doom our Oline and hurt Allen's progression in his second year.

The only concern should be Morse’s concussion, other than that, I don’t really read too much but into preseason practices.

So I think Morse keeps the 20 mill he got at signing if he retires. If it’s me or my loved one, that’s an option I consider. I mean I think you give it one more go but that would be it for me.

This was the big risk with Morse, can't stay healthy. I hope the guy can get healthy and contribute but I would seriously consider my life outside of football if I was having a recurring concussion issue, especially after signing his big deal.

It's a big hurdle to overcome, for sure. I know a lot of posters on here are adamant that the inaccuracy is non-existent, similar to most, or a result of a combination of factors, but I think the kid just isn't going to be an accurate QB. That being said, as the article states, it's up to Allen and Daboll to exploit the areas that Allen excels at, which could result in a quality starter. This season is so pivotal for the Bills. Beane and Allen are tied at the hip and the progress that Allen makes, or doesn't make, will most likely set the table for the next 3-5 seasons.

Welland, Ontario, so I can make it to the stadium in under an hour. And for the first time I’m a season ticket holder. It’s been cheaper to just buy from the secondary market since for most of my adult life. But I’m taking a chance that this is the year and the Jets game will be rocking and tickets won’t be $15 like they typically are.
