That's 75 of his 419 yards right there. So he had 344 yards on his remaining 29 catches.

Considering he had Thompson and Bridgewater throwing to him for a good portion that seems like a miracle he even put up those numbers.

In general, RT is not a position you dedicate a first rounder to. Picking a RT at 27 isn't justified by past failed picks. It is only justified if the player you select merits that high a pick. I don't think it likely the board will fall that way. There's a good chance this is a draft where you trade down if you can find a willing partner. Otherwise, BPA is usually smarter than reaching for need. I want to improve the oline and give better weapons to Josh, but that doesn't equate to taking a fella a round or two early just because he plays a certain position.

Neither is G but they get taken all the time, the BPA is a myth, we are in serious need of a G or T, there should be plenty rated around our pick. Get the best OL who can keep our QB upright. We can draft all the WR, TE or RB imaginable, if Allen isn't on the field due to injury because we once again neglected to protect him then what good will they be?

You can get a good RT prospect in rounds 2 - 4. They won't and shouldn't spend a first on the position. Potential LT is a different story, of course.

Spencer Brown was a 3rd rounder, Cody Ford a 2nd rounder, maybe we're better at picking 1st round RT.

  4. I'd say if 1 of the big OT's fall for whatever reasoning then it is definitely a consideration, Spencer Brown was not only bad last year but also a liability. He was a project to begin with so at the very least he needs serious competition in the earlier rounds or a FA imo.

Would make a great trade down candidate, though

i was thinking more for the 2nd round, I may be going out on a limb here but there may be 0 ILB taken in round 1 and a run in round 2. My guess is that he'd be there for us in round 2 but that could be a stretch we'll see.

If we talked about this team anytime in September or October, I think it would have been hard to find a poster here who didn't think we were either the best team in the league, or at least even with the best.  We went to the house of the eventual SB champ, and beat them, without any breaks or anything flukey.   We had some blowouts.  The offense was clicking on all cylinders, and the defense - at that time - was pretty smothering.

Our losses were all 1 score, 1 play.  Cincy in the playoffs was the 1st time that any team took it to us, and just beat us up and down the field, all game.  THAT is now how many here now view the team. Very flawed, and much weaker than we thought.

But ultimately, it was just one game.  Teams lay eggs, and given how emotional the last month of the season was, it's easy to see in hindsight how that affected the team (and the Bengals were kind of the opposite, playing w/ a real chip on their shoulder).  They also may just be a bad match-up for the Bills, which I'm hoping will change w/ the change in DC.  I think Frazier's defense was very effective against quite a few teams - but against Cincy & those receivers, you have to be aggressive, and challenge them more at the line.

I don't buy the whole "we were already behind the top teams and now we're falling further behind" narrative of FA.  When healthy, we're still right there w/ the best teams - and we're rolling everything back minus Edmunds, and with a new guard, a faster receiver than we've had in awhile, and the draft still ahead.

I don't see us taking a step back in '23.  We'll be right there w/ the top teams.

Kansas City had 1 bad game against Cincinnati and they went out and signed Thuney, traded a 1st for Orlando Brown, won SB #2. Buffalo had a bad game against Cincy and we signed a previous backup G Conner McGovern (could turn out to be special but Thuney was an all pro), like I've stated before i don't think we're done building up the OL. Build a juggernaught OL and I don't see any of these teams stopping us if we can give Allen time to pick them apart imo. When I see people writing that they like the idea of Ryan Bates starting at LG or RG it's laughable to me, he's not terrible but no way should he be starting unless someone is injured again it's my opinion.

I'm 90% sure you're going to do everything in your power to NOT answer this

Below i've circled games that are 100% unacceptable from a #2 WR.

There are 9 of his 15 games played circled

    7 of the 9 have no TD's

Which of these are acceptable to you for a WR2 to have?

Did you factor in TE Dawson Knox, Isiah Mckenzie, the RB's? What did they all do in those games? Contrary to what fans think there are a bunch of weapons at Allens disposal. The good thing about this offense (especially if we assemble a solid OL) is that we can utilize all different players, if we start doing more RB screens, designed TE screens etc. this team would be lethal which is why I'm really hoping to see serious growth with OC Ken Dorsey, just throwing bombs every other play is not going to end well. I agree that the drops need to get cleared up but Davis is fine and should improve upon those numbers but we have enough weapons to spread the ball around if Dorsey is creative enough.

Like others have said, he's going to cost more money than we can afford. If Seumalo was in play for us, we'd have not signed McGovern. McGovern and Bates are our Guards.

Maybe they bring in another Guard that could compete with Bates and be depth. Or Draft one within the first few Rounds. But they aren't going to bring in someone who has a market value of 12.1 per year at this point. That would have been our first move if it were to happen.

No way is Bates our starting G.

Statistical vs Contractual value, Jamaal Williams would have been a premium *****. Decent amount of First Downs, YAC and obviously the TDs.

I like Murray but looking at everything over the past few years; Yards, YAC, Broken TKL, First Downs… no different to Motor.

Although that is true the Bills are clearly looking for a power back which Singletary is not.

Would be nice to know what players you think would actually help

I'd love to be a a fly in the office hearing names , if I'm giving out names I'd contact the Minnesota Vikings and see if we can't work a Deal for RT Brian O'Neil, They're over the cap and after next season Darrisaw will be commanding a huge contract. The Vikings are sellers right now and I think we can swing something, he's 27  and signed until 2026. He's had maybe sackwise his worst season with 6 sacks but with statue Cousins back there I'm not holding it aginst him but he has excellent blocking grades.

Singletary has averaged 4.7 ypc for his career (and 4.7 in 2022) and the league average in the years he has played is between 4.3 and 4.4 (trust me, but look it up if you doubt me: https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/league-average-yards-per-carry-by-running-backs-2022).  Since he has entered the league, he has always been above league average. And lest you think any RB can average these numbers, Frank Gore averaged 3.6 ypc in 2019 for the Bills (a year in which Allen had 510 yards rushing and nearly 5 ypc). Point is, the grass ain’t always greener.

I actually like Singletary and thought he was very underused here but I'd rather have a big bruising back, the Chiefs hit a home run with Isiah Pacheco in the 7th round. If we can pull stuff off like that it would be a huge boost to this team, We need to start hitting on these picks.

The problem with your entire statement is you have no plan. Just trade the first round pick to get a RT but have no idea who to get? Same with trading away Oliver for (insert whatever guards name here). Just pick a random ILB in the second round?

    obviously I’m exaggerating a little

it with my statement but that level of thinking would make this team majorly regress in my opinion. That’s how the team approached the draft and free agency throughout the drought

How would I know who to get? I had no idea Orlando Brown was available when he was, nobody did (using as an example).  I'm not the GM that's what he's paid to do and it's been done. And we can do this for the G and ILB.

We would regress by trading our 1dst for a legit OT (Like an orlando Brown), a G for Ed Oliver and an ILB that beane thinks fits our scheme? Do tell.

Resign Special Teams/Cheap Backup Process Guys: Check

    Resign Poyer: Surprising Check

    Sign an average OL: Check

Sign a cheap backup QB: Check

    To Sign List

    Bobby Wagner, LB

Trade for Jeudy or M Evans

    Wish List

    Seamulo or Risner

For me, A successful free agency has to include at least one of the 5 players mentioned from the To Sign or Wish List to get the 2nd receiver, a stronger OL, or a MLB before the draft.

The OL is not fixed, I don't care what anyone says, picking a G who's been a backup his whole career until now isn't solving the problem, I'm not saying the Bills are done in FA and we still have a draft so I'm not jumping the gun here. If I'm Buffalo I'm trading our 1st round pick for a RT (Spencer Brown is not the answer), much like the Chiefs did for Brown, I have no clue who that might be but that's what he should be doing, going to a cap strapped team who has an OT with 1 year + option on his resume and trade 1.27 for him. If we can trade DT Ed Oliver (if he isn't part of our plans) for a starting caliber RG then do so ( I have no clue what a team values him at but I'm sure there is some GM who feels they can make him into an all pro) then use or 2nd round pick on an ILB which would be a much cheaper option then signing some old washed up ILB with a i year deal and hope his knees don't buckle after each tackle. This isn't some Madden level of trading, the Chiefs traded the 1st rounder for Brown and Oliver even if some here thinks he's trash, he was a former 9th overall pick and shows flashes at times of great play but these are just my opinions.

I know some here would say this is crazy.. But please remember this guy was the consensus top linebacker in his draft class. He had a great rookie season and then got hurt. A natural leader and great instincts. A change of scenery could do this former first rounder well. Tuff against the run and great blitzer. Sheds blockers way better than Edmunds ever did. What do y’all think.

If the Steelers are letting a LB go, don't take said LB.

Lots of Chiefs fans seem very happy to have this kid gone.

Most things i’m reading go along the lines of “this kid had Mahomes running for his life, only good game was the SB”

on the flip side I see lots of Bengal fans saying “still better than anything we’ve had for a while”

So they're like our fans once a player leaves and hates on the guy.
