Who was the Bills next best edge rusher after Bruce?
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm going Super Mario Williams, he was just dominant from the get go. Mario Williams had 43 sacks 4 seasons Aaron Schoebel had 78 sacks in 9 seasons Phil Hansen had 61.5 sacks in 11 seasons Bryce Paup had 33 sacks in 3 seasons -
Beane meets with the media (2/25)
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beane is sounding more and more like a used car salesman. The whole story about wanting speed then stating football isn't played on a track field. No *****, if it were we'd be pretty screwed! -
I think the Bills will definitely do their due diligence in trying to get Myles Garrett but with that being said, 31 other teams are doing the same and most of them have higher draft picks than ours. What we might be able to offer them that other teams can't is an 8 sack a year DE in Greg Rousseau so we may be able to pull it off. I'm pretty sure a 1st 2025, 1st 2026, 2nd 2025 and Greg Rousseau with a pick coming back to us is about what it would take imo. It's a steep price but it's not everyday a future 1st ballot hall of famer falls into your lap. when they do you do what you have to do. I don't think the Bengals would trade us Hendrickson as I'd think they'd find that we're in the path of them for the SB, unless we were massively overpaying I don't see where it would make much sense for them unless they thought he was washed up which he clearly wasn't. Even as dumb as Jerry Jones is at times with his moves, I would highly doubt they get rid of his best pass rusher and one of the leagues best young edge rushers in the NFL. I would think the cost would be even more than Garret's price tag. He had his lowest sack total of the year with 12 sacks and he did that while only playing in 13 games this past year (freaking unreal this kid is). I don't think he'll be leaving the Cowboys anytime soon. Maxx Crosby's name keeps coming up but nowhere do i see that he has demanded or is demanding a trade but I did see the interview with Kay Adams with him talking about how excited he is to work with his new HC in Pete Carrol so I think this is either manufactured or maybe it's a calm before the storm I don't know. If they cannot get Garrett I'm going to guess they sign FS Jevon Holland to replace Damar Hamlin. I also think we'll be playing more man coverage so they'll be looking to replace rasul Douglas and I think Carlton Davis would be a solid choice. I don't think they'll add a pass rusher in free agency if we can't land 1 of the big fish in a trade. This draft class is one of the better for pass rushers but our track record selecting defensive line is pretty brutal so far but maybe we'll land 1 if even by accident.

Free Agents we like for the 2025 Bills?
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Desert Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
He'd still be an upgrade and was the #1 before Chase got there. -

Higgins would be a huge upgrade. -
I don't think we have a realistic shot at Garrett or Crosby imo since although we might have the draft capital but 31 other teams will have the same. It doesn't matter if Garrett or Crosby want to go to contending teams, the Browns/Raiders don't have to oblige that if they don't want to. Also this is what happens when your GM consistently whiffs on picks in the draft, spending 2 1sts, 2- 2nd round picks on DL and this is all we show for it is brutal imo. I definitely think they should kick the tires on them regardless but I just don't think we have a realistic shot and those guys. I also highly doubt the Bengals would trade us Hendrickson, as I would believe they think we are direct competition, I never heard anything about Watt being available and the same thing with Parsons, every team will be asking on him. That leaves us free agency where are best bet is an over the hill Khalil Mack who had a respectable 6 sacks but does he alone get us that SB ring? I think we need a Mack and "HAVE TO" hit on the draft at edge rusher.

Potential Cap Casualties 2025

Von Miller, Dawson Knox post june 1st and hopefully trade Epenesa for anything, why did we re-sign this guy? -
Who is your choice at pick #30?
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wouldn't hate any weapons for our QB1, they're definitely needed. -

WR Matthew "24 karat" Golden- Texas -
I feel Tee Higgins = Peerless Price.
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I see Higgins as more of a DeVonta Smith (PHI) , to me they're almost identical twins. Both ran similar 40 times, both have the same similar stats, both are #2 WR. We are basically hoping that Coleman turns into Tee Higgins as a solid #2. Smith got a 3 year 75M contract, 25M per season and that's where Higgins should get but will most likely get a 30-35M deal which is way too high for him. -
Let's be honest, Josh probably has 5 good seasons left

That always bums me out also. -
We need an overhaul on defense, an elite pass rusher, re-sign Groot also?, add another big 1 tech DT next to Oliver either FA or the draft, even if we re-sign Douglas I still think we need another guy back there with fresh legs but I'm hoping for an upgrade over Douglas who looked slow towards the end and a safety opposite of Cole Bishop who I think gets the start this season full time.

It's the defensive line, stupid!
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
They've put alot of resources into the defense and not a whole lot to show for it imo...Ed Oliver (9th overall), Groot (28th), Epenesa (2nd round), Boogie Basham (2nd), Elam (1st), Terrell Edmunds (16th). one of them is almost out of the league, Elam might be salvaged on a better scheme fit but probably a career backup, Epenesa is just a rotational player, the other was let go into free agency, Groot and Oliver are solid but we needed elite players and they are not that at least not yet. That is alot of misses by beane/McDermott and I put them both up there because although Beane picks the players I'm almost 99.9% certain both he and Sean go over the players together. They've swung and missed badly throughout their tenures here. -
Hurts aside from that interception was money and accounted for 3 of their 4 TD. Josh Sweat would have been a close 2nd as he looked unblockable for most of the game.

Matthew Smiley out as Special Teams coach
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is definitely an encouraging sign, definitely a few years too late (he should have been gone after bass out of bounds kickoff in 13 seconds imo) but it's good to see they know where they aren't good enough. Now let's hope they try new defensive schemes as well or hire in some newly fired coaches to help bolster the defense at the very least.
