  1. All these charts are stupid, I mean I get the math and formulas but this is what scouts are for, they go to the schools, they talk to coaches/loved ones/ I've even heard they find out people that don't like you and ask them about these players. Identify the correct QB because it's your job and bring him to Buffalo dammit.
  2. I agree with Bevell I think drafting QB Lamar Jackson makes more sense, Jackson improved quite a bit staying in the pocket this season. He ran alot but those were designed QB runs for him but when he was asked to pass he stayed in the pocket and surveyed the field in the games that I watched, his accuracy also improved. I disagree that Tyrod Taylor will be the QB, I just don't see a scenario where he's still on the roster, he has failed to get the job done now with 2 different regimes, just my opinions but good post.
  3. A team like Pittsburgh should be all over this, They would fully be able to utilize him. If we got a 4th for Ragland I'm sure we could get in the same ball park with Lawson.
  4. So wait he gets a pass because he worked with Sieman/Osweiler but we just shipped out Dennison who had Tyrod Taylor?
  5. LB, QB and DL are the biggest needs. We need to upgrade at least 2 of our LB positions but all three need to be fixed. An athletic ILB is a must in the system ran which is why the really good teams can plow right through us. Raquan Smith ILB of Georgia is a great player but almost surely not making it to us at 21.
  6. Mike McCoy was 27th in total pts with 289 (Buffalo was 22nd with 302), 17th in yards per game with 324.1 (Buffalo was 29th with- 302.6), 20th in passing yards with 3,333 (Buffalo was 31st with 2,825), Denver was 12th in the league with 1,852 yards (Buffalo was 6th with 2,017)... I'm not a big fan of McCoy, doesn't seem like all that much of an upgrade from Dennison at all imo.
  7. I don't like any of the QB's after Rosen/Darnold, imo they aren't typical 1st round picks. Mayfield is a giant wild card, he wasn't even in 1st round consideration until this season and it doesn't mean he doesn't deserve to be, that's how Cam Newton was brought into the draft scene but at least Cam was 6'5", 240 + lbs. and chiseled. Now you have a 5'11"-6'0" Baker Mayfield that has some character flaws right off the bat, I'm not sure that is something I'm trading up for. Some scouts I've read in all different articles has him as a 3rd or 4th rounder, it's going to be tough to see what we'll do. I like Lamar Jackson, I think he can be a difference maker but if we can't work with a guy like Tyrod then finding an OC suitable for Jackson might be tough also.
  8. Marrone coaching tree LOL that's a good one man, thanks for the laughs brother.
  9. How about Press Taylor? He's the Philadelphia Eagles Offensive Quality control and Assistant Quarterback Coach, working right beside DeFillipo and looks to be the heir apparent if Franck Reich gets a HC gig.
  10. IMO I think the worst the Bills have done in this whole drought aside from not hitting on a franchise QB, is not even attempting to try and draft one.
  11. So the better choices are Bevell, who was fired for lack of offensive consistency and Defilippo who's up for HC positions but he's going to quit as the Eagles OC with a stud at QB like Wentz for an unproven QB situation for the Bills? Ok I'm not going to blast you but I'd like some better options than those because the one is far fetched and the other doesn't seem like an upgrade so I ask, what other options do you think would be realistic/better in your opinion?
  12. Cousins would be a sufficient upgrade, the problem with him is he'll most likely be the highest paid QB in the league when it's all said and done, do we have the salary cap to handle that sort of contract? We could make it work but at the expense of not being able to sign a few of our own guys, we would strictly have to find players in the draft, which we should be doing anyways and I'm all for it but I don't think this would be Cousins' 1st choice in an open market imo. The best route would be to draft our own, the downside is if you draft the wrong player your team is set back for years and the coaching regime is most likely fired but only trying twice in 18 years at a 1st round QB is unacceptable. This seems like a good year to go up and grab a QB, it will be expensive but the rewards could pay off big time. I believe this is the route the Bills should take because we can still sign free agents for the next 4 years if need be to compliment our QB. I'd rather have long term stability than a stop gap like Alex Smith who's shown he isn't good enough to take a team past the playoffs unless he has a dominant defense.
  13. Hurst is excellent at getting to the QB, some poster said he was only 270 but he's listed at 282 lbs. on his college bio page which is still under weight by quite a bit, he'd have to add 20 lbs to his frame, will he have the same burst at 300 lbs.? That's a risky 1st round pick. Like another poster wrote about Vea, he's strictly a NT in a 3 tech. so he doesn't fit in with what were doing here but he's better than Danny Shelton and will be a steal for a team in the mid to late 1st or early 2nd round. I think Christian Wilkins will be long gone by the time our pick is up. I'd be more inclined to take Dre'Mont Jones- Ohio State, Trenton Thompson- Georgia or Derrick Nadi of Florida State in the 2nd round.
  14. The Bills must draft a QB, it's plain and simple. They loaded up on picks for this reason, they also passed on QB Deshaun Watson which looks like another monumental mistake. This team must identify and draft a franchise QB, we will go nowhere without stability at QB. A stop gap is a short term solution and if you listen to the HC/GM closely, both preach about long term stability and that means successfully drafting and developing a QB imo.
  15. We've had 2 different OC's by 2 different HC's and Tyrod Taylor has not been able to take his play to the next level, I believe it's safe to say that is who he is by now. With that being said, would Dennison be a solid OC with a better QB? He lead us to the 3rd best rushing attack, if we had a QB worth a damn I think he could be a very good OC, just my opinion.
  16. I think some are forgetting Peterman was a rookie this year, going against the #1 defense against the pass in the Chargers. It was a pretty pathetic performance by him I admit but to write the guy off in his rookie season seems foolish imo. He will most likely be in the competition for the starting job along with others, hopefully a rookie and new veteran also.
  17. We've had stop gaps since Jim Kelly.... Doug Flutie, Drew Bledsoe, Tyrod Taylor and it's brought us 17 years of failure. Only twice in those years did we draft a 1st round QB. We must keep trying.
  18. Totally agree, I know fans are crushed and looking to blame but the monkey is finally off our backs, now where do we go from here to progress and the draft will be huge. We need an overhaul at LB, every single LB on our roster could be upgraded, we need a speed WR to take the tops off defenses, a run stuffing DT, another CB if Gaines doesn't resign and another even if he does, OL upgrades, especially at RG/C and the most important is the franchise QB. I think we finally found our HC/GM that gets how to win and knows what it takes.
  19. I can't take anything you say seriously if you only based what you saw from his performance today.
  20. I want this Bills team to advance but we will be completely embarrassed against the Pats or Steelers, I mean it won't even be remotely close.
