  1. If this regime has identified a franchise QB, I'd hope our GM would move up the board to get him.
  2. It's obvious you have an agenda, put the stats side by side and there you go, myth buster solved.
  3. I don't know if he'll ever be the same again but he's a great character guy, I'd love to have him on the team if he can still play.
  4. You can type down whatever you want, the stats show differently, Tyrod is not better than Blake Bortles unless you're talking about as a RB, put the stats side by side without the rushing, just passing and he gets beat in almost every category.
  5. I've watched pretty much all of these QB's games for the past 2 years now, I'm not a fan of rushing QB's at all but I think Lamar Jackson in this offense that Daboll will bring can be dynamic. I've watched Jackson from a running 1st QB to this season where he stands in the pocket and goes through progressions, when Jackson does run the guy lowers his shoulder and bowls people over, I don't want my franchise guy doing that but it shows the toughness. He has a big time arm.
  6. If we don't go QB I say pass rush will be #1 priority, DE Clemson Austin Bryant, he can get to the QB. I'll go athletic ILB , it's a must in this scheme and Preston Brown although he made a ton of tackles is still a liability. ILB Rashaan Evans is a great athlete, hits like a ton of bricks and can drop into coverage, he isn't polished in that area but the coaches can work with him. Those would be my non QB choices, of course I think they should trade up and get one imo but I would not hate the latter either.
  7. I would draft a QB and go after Bradford, tell him his incentive is beating out the rookie and Peterman fair and square.
  8. The hurt part may be true but the fact that you say he isn't good when healthy just isn't true.... He has 101 TD passes to 57 INT, a career completion % of 62.5, when completely healthy hasn't thrown for under 3,700 yards. I've never heard any rumors how he won't help rookies, in fact there is an article saying how he helped Wentz before being traded to Minny. https://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/before-heading-to-minnesota-bradford-helped-wentz-in-philly-102016, I think he'd be a good mentor to the rookie we select in round 1 and I don't think he'll break the bank imo.
  9. I'm not sure what the market would be for DT Star Lotulelei, he's a run stuffer accept this season he only had 25 tackles, 1.5 sacks, has never had more than 4 sacks in a season or since his rookie season in 2013 where he had 42 tackles, he's never had more than 26 tackles in a single season after his rookie year, not even sure if this guy is good against the run, the stats don't indicate he's much better than anything we have now other than he played for a top team in the Panthers, I would rather draft a DT than pay Star any type of big money. I think we'll dump Tyrod and pick up a veteran like Bradford, he has durability concerns but when healthy he's actually a decent QB, I haven't heard anything about him not helping out rookies or anything like that, I think he'd be a good vet in front of a rookie imo. Also like Beane explained he doesn't make big splashes in FA, I'm pretty sure we will be drafting our roster and picking up bargains in FA the way I'd prefer to build the roster again imo.
  10. Being a Steelers fan I'd say there is going to be heat on Tomlin for the mere fact that even though Big Ben states he'll be back next season, the window is closing fast with him so there is pressure to win now and this is a talented Steelers roster, which is why they had a 1st round bye. The offense put up 42 points against a top 5 Jags defense, The defense has been the achilles heel of the team all year, they lost alot when Shazier went down but it's no excuse to give up huge points to Bortles, although this year may be Blakes coming out party as a top QB? Like Matt Ryan last year? I was fine with the onside kick, Bortles was carving the defense apart and I'm sure Tomlin was thinking the special teams had a better chance than the soft defense, just all my opinions.
  11. In the short time as the GM here he's shown he's not afraid to trade for players or trade players who aren't a scheme fit or locker room fit which I like. He's done a heck of a job accumulating picks on top of the ones we already received. He's done a fine job so far and I think the best is yet to come.
  12. I like when someone says is this a friggin joke, then goes on to say Tyrod Taylor is a better QB than Blake Bortles... who had more yards Passing? Blake Bortles, who had more TD passes? Blake Bortles, who had more yards passing per game? Blake Bortles, Who got sacked the least? Blake Bortles, Who had the most 20/40+ yarders? Blake Bortles, who had the better passing AVG? Blake Bortles.... Bortles had more INT, that's because we all know Tyrod want throw to anyone who isn't completely open.
  13. If Darnold indeed declares for this draft both the Giants/Browns would be fools not to select Darnold and Rosen even if given a kings ransom... They both need QB's and 2 franchise stud QB's are staring them in the face. I guess the Bills will have to see if Mayfield/Lamar Jackson/ Josh Allen or Mason Rudolph are franchise QB's because I don't see a scenario where we get the top 2. Some people are huge Mayfield fans, I'm not one of those people, I like his fiery attitude but he seems to be quite immature, not Manziel immature but to the point where it warrants some red flags.
  14. We already have a late round developmental QB in Nathan Peterman, luckily coaches don't give up on players in year 1 like fans do. I doubt we take a shot on a kid like this imo.
  15. Absolutely, you can mask many positions in the NFL but QB isn't one of them, well I guess running the ball almost all the time is masking it but you know what I mean.
  16. The entire DL underachieved, it's said that Lorenzo Alexander will move to DE next season, not sure if thats any sort of upgrade but it tells me thank goodness we'll be getting a new OLB. Only in Buffalo do we think the defense will fall apart from a guy who had 33 tackles (who's supposed to be excellent against the run) , 1 FF and 4 sacks, that is far from irreplaceable so if we can recoup a 3rd or 4th round pick for him I'd say that was a bargain imo.
  17. Get any OC a QB and they'll look like a genius.
  18. It's like our offense pretty much, were a running team in a passing league. Lawson is good at setting the edge for the run game in a passing league, we need a pass rush and Shaq Lawson isn't that guy, will never be that guy.
  19. I hear you, I didn't think he was a great fit fr the 4-3 but he could play in any scheme and be successful, he's a beast.
  20. I don't think the Bills have a legitimate shot at Rosen or Darnold if he declares for the draft, the browns or Giants would be nuts not to secure those 2. I'm not sure what to make of Baker Mayfield, the guy has great accuracy, his arm strength is good, not great and he may be 5'10" when the combine starts which would be scary. Is he Johnny manziel or Russell Wilson? He is said to come with character flaws, so now you have a smallish QB with character concerns, is that something you want to trade up for? Josh Allen has all the physical tools you look for in a QB but his stats are Blaine Gabbertesque which should raise many red flags. Then you have Lamar Jackson who everyone here seems to be scared shitless of because he's a running QB,who had accuracy issues and is a running QB but has the arm strength to make all the throws and the legs to keep defenses honest but is he just another inaccurate bigger armed version of Tyrod Taylor? Last but not least and somehow Mason Rudolph creeps into the 1st round, he doesn't have a great arm but has the size and accuracy, when I watched many of Rudolph's games he doesn't hit the WR in stride, most of them had to stop and wait for the ball to get to them which is concerning. One of these players are most likely a Buffalo Bill come the 2018 NFL Draft so I'm getting familiar with them and not falling for any 1 guy in particular as each has their own flaws and strengths. If I had to pick today I think Lousiville QB Lamar Jackson would be the choice, I know some here can't stand him but you cannot deny his arm strength, how good he is getting away from pressure and his accuracy got better from the previous season.
  21. I'm fine with Cousins, he's been virtually a top 10 passer in the league since taking over as the starter but would his top choice be the Buffalo Bills? I'm sure he has to factor in living conditions/offensive line play and the WR's he'll be throwing to. I'd have to think realistically they'll be better options out there for him imo, will Washington even let him go?
  22. I bolded my opinions of Lamar Jackson, I've watched him frequently the past 2 years.
  23. You started the thread, you should expect a smart ass comment every now and again, I know it's for fun that's why I added my 2 pennies. I don't need charts to know that there is a risk selecting a QB high. How about doing ILB, WR or DE, I'm sure you'd get alot of the same results.
