  1. Yes you still draft a QB, how many years can we pass this position up? If our scouts are any good and our coaches are any good we'll select the right QB then coach him up properly.
  2. You should just be happy they're addressing the position finally/hopefully, it may not be the guy eveyone wants but I'll trust the judgement of those who do this for a living until it becomes clear they shouldn't be doing this for a living.
  3. Nate, I'm not trying to be a dick when I say this but your eyes mean jack, you have no credentials scouting QB's regardless of your track record.
  4. I agree they need to draft a QB but if they hold at 21/22 and draft Rudolph or Lamar Jackson I'd say they did their homework on all these QB's and the guy they choose they feel they can build around and win with so I don't think it has to be just the 3 you mentioned and to be honest I'm reading alot that Josh Allen is ahead of Baker Mayfield as one of the elite's you're talking about so your list may be wrong, you never know which team has what QB listed ahead of the other. Beane could like Rudolph over all these guys and try's to trade up for him, As long as they try at the position.
  5. Peterman is already our late round developmental QB so unless they add one to the practice squad I don't think we go for a late round flier.
  6. I agree that refs shouldn't favor any 1 team/player but how can that be said for a guy congratulating him after the game? If the Pats weren't in our division and in the NFC I don't think there would be this much hate and talk about it imo.
  7. You're entitled to your own opinion and I can respect that, maybe you'll appreciate what were witnessing when he retires but probably not from the sound of it lol.
  8. Based on Michael Jordan never had 300 LBS. DL trying to rip his head off while making a basket, football is a totally different animal than any other sport imo.
  9. I think the refs favor them but I have no problem with the ref congratulating Brady, we're witnessing something that may never be broken in our lifetime, mad respect and don't get me wrong it's annoying as !@#$ to see them keep winning every year but you also have to give credit where it's due.
  10. I won't be but I'll tell you what will happen, the Eagles will be up by 14 going into the 4 the, the Eagles will get a pass interference call, rinse, repeat, Superbowl won by Pats.
  11. I believe Brady is the better of the 2 but nobody even comes close to Wayne Gretzsky.
  12. No... I think it's actually bad for the league that the Pats win every year, parity is what makes people watch and from what I hear the numbers are down, even a little bit down and that could be a matter of millions for the high rollers.
  13. I was one of those wanted to resign Gilmore but I must say the rookie Tre' Davious White (and I'm not being a homer) made me forget about Gilmore, he had a tremendous rookie season and I think it's just the tip of the iceberg, I think White is going to have an excellent career.
  14. I guess that's why we all see things differently, I didn't see terrible footwork at all. He looked pretty fluent even under distress most of that game but you're entitled to your own opinion. Like I've stated I'm not usually a fan of running QB's but Jackson has a chance to be a really special player. Accuracy can be coached up, you can't teach arm strength and that's why it's sought after, that and it's a passing league, if you can throw darts down the field I'd say that's an advantage over a noodle armed QB is it not?
  15. I won't even watch if the Patriots go to another SB, waste of time.
  16. Watch this game against NC State, that's Bradley Chubb at DE who's projected to go top 5 in this years draft, the defense was relentless against Jackson and I saw a completely different Jackson than in 2016, in 16' the first sign of pressure and he would take off, this year and this game he stands tall in the pocket and delivers some really nice "NFL" type throws, don't look at the designed run plays, those plays are designed to be running plays, look at him under pressure , most of the time calm but sometimes shaky and he delivers some really nice strikes, also makes some mistakes but you get to see the good and the bad with him in this game, I'm telling you Lamar Jackson is going to be an impact starter in the NFL, this guy is not just an athlete but has a cannon arm to go along with it, if we have the right coaches this guy can be something special. Just have a look, I know it's one game but it shows alot.
  17. I don't think this teams in a position to move up for a non QB, there's just too many holes on the roster. I like the rest of your mock though.
  18. Paul Richardson you're saying is an upgrade over Jordan Matthews?
  19. Julio Jones is a rare specimen, Ridley was said to have ran a 4.59 at his college 40 yard dash which is still pretty decent for a guy 6'3" 224 lbs imo http://www.al.com/alabamafootball/index.ssf/2016/03/calvin_ridley_40_time_among_no.html I think Ridley is more comparable to Larry Fitzgerald then Julio Jones, Jones had ridiculous blazing speed where Ridley has great hands and can run out the routes with ease.
  20. Ridley can take over games but Alabama ran alot from what I gathered, I think Benjamin right now is our #1 and I really hope Matthews comes back here, the guy has really good career numbers and would be a solid WR 2 for us but the price tag might not be a fit.
  21. I read many articles on this from former HC/GM's, NFL networks Daniel Jeremiah has talked about the whole process and how teams converse pretty much when they are knocked out of playoffs or contention, some teams talk mid season. Bucky Brooks and Michael Lombardi talked about it also, It would be a blast to see how it all transpires since I'm a big nerd for all that stuff. From what I gathered from listening to mostly Jeremiah, he said most deals are talked about way before the draft starts, around mid season he said they would get calls from other teams about draft pick availability, if the player/players they want weren't there etc. I think the best time to make a deal is when you already have a QB and you know the other team on the other line is desperate for one, we havent been in that boat for quite some time but it must be nice for teams like New England, Pittsburgh etc. Good stuff man, I love the draft and doing 80 something mock drafts before it hits, my buddy has a mock draft website on wix, it's pretty sweet.
  22. Agreed, but I'd also say it takes top QB play to win a SB unless you have a record breaking defense (2000 Ravens, 2000 something Bucs, 2014 Broncos etc)
  23. Cousins reminds me alot of Tony Romo, always under the radar, many didn't think Romo was special either, choked in the big games but you have to look at the Redskins as a whole, if the defense matched the offensive production wouldn't they be a playoff and beyond team? Heck, even Aaron Rodgers has only won 1 SB despite being called an all world QB, he can't do it all by himself but that's what happens when you pay a QB that type of lute. Cousins has put up top 10 QB numbers the past 3 years, if that's not special then I don't know the meaning of that. There is only 1 Brady in this league so Cousins to me would be an excellent pickup, I don't see this franchise signing him, for the mere fact that we have a bunch of other vacancies and adding that salary cap would be crippling, that's why you draft a guy and have 4 years until he will be destroying the cap.
  24. What are your credentials to be making such a bold statement.
