  1. I looked everywhere to find out if he's at least good against the run since he offers very little to get excited about puss rush-wise (4 sacks was his highest total so far). he averages 25 tackles a season, how is that "run stuffing"? and PFF ranks him as a 46.9........... https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/pro-ranking-all-32-defensive-front-sevens-this-season
  2. Unfortunately he gives 0 pass rush but also terrible against the run so I don't really care for this but he comes at a position of need, hopefully he gets better at anything?
  3. I hope so, he's been very meh since Pettine and Schwartz left here.
  4. I think it's between both Josh Rosen and Josh Allen imo, I just don't see Mayfield as a top 5 QB. Josh Allen really has shown what he can do with actual talent around him, those tight throws he made ad the senior bowl were impressive and his arm is probably the best this league has seen, work on his mechanics like crazy, get a solid QB to mentor him for a full season and he can be a star for a long time. Rosen is more pro ready than probably everyone in the draft, I think he'll be our QB, I thought he'd be our QB since last year but I won't hate any QB they select, it will be alot of fun but from what the Panthers had in Cam Newton I'm going with the taller Rosen/Darnold or Allen.
  5. Lance Zierlein writes all of the draft profiles for NFL.com, he's never been a scout, I don't even remember this guy having anything to do with drafts, I'm pretty sure he's a writer for NFL .com
  6. I expect our staff to trade up for any QB in this draft class that they see as a guy who can come in and get this team to a SB, I have my favorites but I'll embrace it no matter if it's Allen, Rosen, mayfield, Jackson, Rudolph or someone else, I don't have to like it at first and if it doesn't work out then I told you.
  7. I was under the impression that Nigel Bradham was let go because of his less than ideal athleticism, same reason that we'll probably let Preston Brown walk. McDermott relies on very athletic LB play ... Thomas Davis, Luke Keuchly etc., I think ILB Kyle Vander Esche has to be a higher on the list target in the draft. I don't dislike Bradham but he doesn't seem to be a fit imo.
  8. It's really not about McCown starting, more of the mentor than anything and that is valuable to have imo.
  9. My guess is the rams will resign him or he signs with the 49ers.
  10. I don't think losing an above average tackle makes any sense, why fix something that isn't broken? Now if he's part of a trade to move up and get a QB, if his injury is worse than were hearing or if he 's part of a trade for a player at another position it makes sense. To outright cut him for none of the above reasons just wouldn't make much sense to me.
  11. I understand that but he was still good against the run, I guess the 3rd was better than nothing.
  12. I agree with what poster Kirby Jackson said, Josh McCown would be a solid pickup, he won't command as much as these other QB's and he'd be a top notch mentor for a rookie QB, all those would be a great learning curb for whichever young QB we decide to go with.
  13. Can he get you to a SB starting the whole season? From what I've seen so far, he can't and until he starts a season and takes an team to a SB my stance will stay the same. I'm not saying he wouldn't be a good fit here, but to give up valuable picks for a guy who's never proven he can other than I'd like another team to use the picks on him, just my opinions, I'm ok that others don't agree, at least were finally talking about Buffalo and the QB position.
  14. I still think Beane and McDermott go with a bunch of low level type pickups. I think Preston Brown is done here, he is an average athlete that made alot of tackles. Who would be the best teacher for a young QB, that to me would be QB Josh McCown, he'd be an excellent mentor without actually breaking the bank money wise. Also an underrated DT like Daquan Jones from TEN.
  15. This move makes a ton of sense for the Browns, allows whichever rookie they take to sit a season if need be. On our end I think we torched them in the trade regardless, a mobile QB who if you force him to be a QB almost always comes up short, a top 3rd round pick was highway robbery imo.
  16. Why would we want Aj McCaron? he started 7 games 2 seasons ago and average 122 yards a game.... 854 yards total in 7 games , 6 TD, 2 INT , 66 comp %, It's funny when fans rag on a guy like Sam Bradford but love a player like Aj McCarron.
  17. Yeah, why all the talk of Glenn getting traded? I'm not understanding and it's not like were hurting cap wise.
  18. Rosen and Vander Esche, holy **** I would just sit back and bust out the old cigars Mike Ditka style. Please let this happen, we can finally stop being the friggen doormat.
  19. Or the Browns have all the QB's rated close so they can take RB at 1 and they can wait for the pick of the litter at 4.
  20. It's another player, it matters not what round he's in, it's another chance to hit on a player, the more players you draft the better chance of one or more making an impact on your roster, it's also a cheap contract for 4 years plus the option year.
  21. I thought the Bills would trade up regardless of these signings, I thought that as soon as we traded out of the 10th overall spot in last years draft. We need a QB, we are going to trade up to get one, it's the only way unless we were that bad and we weren't, embrace the trade up regardless of who the QB is.
  22. Rams are going for it all it looks like, that's what they can do when they finally got the FRANCHISE QB that they traded up for. Now they just gave Wade Phillips Aquib Talib, Marcus Peter and Sam Sheilds to go along with Aaron Donald, Lamarcus Joyner, Michael Brockers, Nickell Robey and Mark Barron? That is going to be one sick defense this season.
