  1. Do you honestly think if McCaron was that much better than Dalton they wouldn't have started him? When he did start he averaged only 222 yards per game. Again I'm not knocking this pickup, it was a low risk with a potential big reward but counting on that big reward could be a huge disappointment to a bunch of fans.
  2. Bring in OLB Elvis Dumervil on a 1 yr deal, he had 6.5 sacks as a 33 year old, could be a solid situational pass rusher for us.
  3. I appreciate the post and the things I didn't know about Mccaron. On the flip side I think it was his job to lose when he got the opportunity, if he was that much better than Dalton then he'd be the starting QB for the Bengals right now, he could surprise us all and become a legit QB but odds are he's vying for a backup position with Peterman, I fully expect the rookie to beat out these 2 guys, this is a very talented group of QB's.
  4. I don't think he'd wait, you think Mccaron or Peterman would start over him?
  5. I would very much like the Bills to trade up top 5 for a QB, if they can do so without using the #22 pick and trade our pick next year I'd be quite happy then take ILB Leighton Vander Esche for Boise State , he would be our Luke Keuchley at ILB, big, fast, solid in coverage. He is the missing piece in the middle, Preston Brown is a very average ILB imo.
  6. Matt Stafford 3 years in college he averaged 57.1 comp % at Georgia , his final year he finally hit 61 comp %, 55.7 the year before that.
  7. I think we'd be lucky to get a QB the caliber of Allen, the guy took a crappy team on his shoulders and lead them to a decent season, I would love any of those top QB's, just my opinion.
  8. This was our best signing of FA by far, Murphy reminds me alot of Ryan Kerrigan, high motor, powerful, pass rusher but also decent against the run. He's going to be the man on our DL.
  9. I thought this would be a ridiculous contract for a guy who hasn't played hardly at all and who couldn't beat out Andy Dalton. It looks like he'll be battling for the backup position, I could be wrong and he turns out to be a top QB which would be great also. It was a cap friendly deal which I'm really surprised, it was a no brainer for us imo, great signing.
  10. I never understand these call outs, just don't open the thread if you don't like the topic, problem solved there, you're welcome.
  11. Well I'm looking what's out there in FA, Jay Cutler and Mike Glennon would to me be the only possible starters if we felt compelled to sit our QB, Glennon is borderline but of the rest of the FA he is a better option imo. McCaron has done nothing to warrant being a starter, he couldn't beat out a very average Andy Dalton so he doesn't seem to be much more than a career backup at this stage. Seeing what's left I think we should take the Washington Redskins approach and draft our QB but also pickup say a 4th or 5th round prospect like a Kyle Lauletta. Get a top QB coach to coach these guys up.
  12. Josh Rosen is said to be NFL ready playing in Josh Mora's pro style offense at UCLA. I'm not seeing a better option at this point, we may very well select 2 rookies in this draft and may the best win out between them and Peterman because the pickings are slim out there for veteran QB's... Derek Anderson, Mike Glennon, Jay Cutler, AJ Mccarron.
  13. It's easy to blast Josh Allen for not putting up huge totals but as i stated before in a few other Josh Allen threads, some might look at his totals as a miracle that he was even able to produce those numbers with the talentless team he had around him, someone will need to check for sure but I read in an article about Allen that he will not have 1 offensive teammate drafted, not 1, no OL/TE or WR. again someone will have to check for sure but if that's the case he was pretty darn good. You could see flashes of greatness at the Senior Bowl with throwing to guys who actually know how to catch the football, he made several very accurate "NFL" types of throws.
  14. McCown would be my choice, great mentor for our rookie, can start if we feel it's beneficial for our QB to sit and learn.
  15. The link where you said the article said he's great at point of attack also mentioned he had something to prove, listed on Pro Football Focus as one of the overrated free agents who went from 33 run stops his rookie year to just 16 last year.
  16. I would love the Bills trading the 2019 1st round pick and 1.12 this year, select ILB Leighton Vander Esche at 1.22, seems like the perfect fit in this scheme, versatile LB, speed, coverage ability.
  17. Not a big fan of Bryant, he's a joint away from never playing again, his contract expires next season so we'll need to have 2 re-signings. Shaq is on his 3rd out of 4th year cheaper rookie contract so I'd me more inclined to draft another WR.
  18. Solid re-sign, it's another position we don't have to fill for another year.
  19. He's a Bill, I'll support it but I don't have to like every move being made. I was just pointing out the facts I had in front of me.
  20. Yes they give you an idea of what you're getting in a player. Again you have provided no new information so I'm going to suggest you havent found any new info to add?
  21. I know what a run stuffer is and does, I played football since I was young to my college years. I'm just stating that he isn't even graded well against thew run, if you find somewhere that he's a good run stuffing DT than post it for all to see but you won't, nowhere on here does it state he is good and holding the point of attack. Have you?
