  1. Not bashing but A.J. McCaron was beat out by Nate Peterman fair and square, the guy looked lost behind center imo and would have been yet another bad QB taking heat this week if he were still here and again just my opinions.
  2. Allen wasn't benched, he got injured and any rookie can benefit from a veteran who seen it all pretty much. I'm not sure what your problem is?
  3. It's not a terrible idea but it will never happen imo. These coaches and GMs have enormous egos, selecting a QB in rounds 1-2 would be them admitting they tailed with Allen and it's way too early for anyone to make that call.
  4. I don't think he's done, even a noodle armed Luck is dangerous since I never considered Brees to have much arm strength or Brady but they can light you up with accuracy. The Colts sure did screw up Luck though giving him 0 OL help.
  5. QB Justin Herbert looks like there may be a bunch of teams looking for his services if he keeps going imo. But as of now it looks like a few WR are in the top 10 , A.J. Brown of Ole Miss and N'Keal Harry of Arizona State look like they can be the #1 WR here.
  6. It's not a great position for Anderson to be in, I remember when the Raiders traded for Carson Palmer a few years back where they started him right away, he had a terrible day and Palmer is a much better QB than Anderson imo. On the other hand there is no way this staff could roll out Peterman onto the field, he's obviously shell shocked at this point.
  7. I'm not buying into the mismanaged part. Peterman outplayed McCaron in preseason and it looked like he may have been a viable option of course now in hindsight that was completely false but I doubt McCaron would have made a significant difference, maybe he wouldn't have thrown a pick 6 but A.J. was beaten out by a guy with more picks than TD passes so I'm not sure it's mismanagement. Maybe picking up Anderson a bit sooner would have been ideal. I'm not sure what miracle savior QB would have been a great option a few weeks ago though since this team isn't sending a draft pick for a bridge QB or we would have just kept McCaron.
  8. I disagree, I don't think the Rams will be able to pay all of their FA (Suh, Joyner, Saffold) , Saffold would be an excellent addition to our interior OL even at his age. C Matt Paradis hasn't been resigned by the Broncos yet which to me is the best OL of their group, he's extremely underrated and the Titans have alot of money invested in the OL with Conklins contract coming up in a year or 2 and Lewan signed a pretty large contract also so OG Spain should become available and could really solidify the right side of the OL but yeah you never know if any will be available by FA.
  9. I think this staff will protect Allen with veteran OL in FA, I'd say our 1st rounder will be a WR since there doesn't seem to be any WR1 options in FA.
  10. Robert Woods I can agree we should have kept, i always thought he was highly underrated and if we had a QB he'd be a big part of the success. Sammy Watkins is a very talented WR but for some reason like many other talented players in the NFL on Sundays most of the games he's just average. I can't explain why since he has great speed, excellent hands and a top WR attitude but on game day I witnessed many games where you barely knew Sammy was out there and for us most of the time he wasn't due to injury so I had no qualms about Watkins being dealt. I don't get The Goodwin or the Chris Hogan love though, Goodwin was a 1 trick pony and the 1 trick was him making a nice long catch then going into the training room immediately after and out 3-4 games. I like Chris Hogan's story but other than that what has he done, you really think he'd be making Allen a better QB out there? He's never had more than 700 yards or 5 TD passes in his career and that's 2 years with the greatest QB of all time throwing to him. I'm not bashing any of these guys for not winning championships but Woods is the only significant upgrade to what we have now and if Jones keeps playing the way he is we might have our own version on the team already for a much cheaper discount imo.
  11. I agree with some of this, This defense is outstanding and can keep us in most games.I don't think we should give up any draft picks for any of those players you mentioned, I want to see us draft and develop from here on out like the great teams do. I don't want Allen to learn on the bench, you can't learn as well as getting in game action imo.
  12. You think changing offensive coordinators after 6 games of Allen's career is the better option? That's why you're a fan and not working in the NFL, we make bad judgement's about a team we love to watch instead of doing it for a living. I'm not saying I love all his calls but this is what I expected from a team with a shaky OL and no WR help, we're a better running team so you play to your strengths, what magical plays can he conjure up to make our average WR group catch passes?
  13. Thomas will be a 31 year old by next season but would give Allen a true legit #1 WR, not sure what I'd pay for a player on decline though, a 3rd rounder? Tate is a FA after the season why would we give up a draft pick for him? Ginn Jr. wtf? I'm actually hoping the Bills stay pat right now and hold onto those picks, I'd like to draft a young up and coming WR1 to compliment Zay Jones and perhaps a FA pickup like John Brown or Tyrell Williams. Were in a pretty good spot, there are some underrated OL in FA, it should also be a decent draft for OL and about 5 WR as of right now with a 1st round grade that I've read about but I'm sure that number will be more around 3 by seasons end.
  14. Doubtful unless were totally out of the playoff picture, why would we sell our pieces before we're out the playoff picture? all these media types keep saying were in full rebuild but I tend to disagree, if we were I think we would have traded McCoy, Hughes and others before the start and not resigned Meatball, try trading Benjamin and plenty of other moves which to me would have meant we were in full rebuild but so far I don't see any of that happening.
  15. Yeah Saffold has really turned into an excellent G, he'd upgrade this OL. I don't like both Tate and Williams considering neither is a #1 WR, I like Williams as our WR 2, Jones in the slot and a rookie WR as our #1 since I don't think there is a true #1 Wr in FA either.
  16. I like WR Tyrell Williams, he'd be a good get but Tate/Funchess not so much, if I were going after a slot WR I'd go after John Brown (BAL), Zay Jones is most likely our WR2 and a drafted rookie WR as a WR1 imo. I like Levitre but he'll be 33 next season and Jared Veldheer has been on a decline since he left OAK? Forgot his 1st team. I'd like Saffold (31) or Quinton Spain who took over for Levitre, he's only 28, perhaps RFA B.J. Finney of Pittsburgh and we also need a capable C since I don't think we have one, Matt Paradis of Denver is a solid choice, very underrated imo.
  17. I don't think it matters at all to be honest, that's what your OC and QB coach are for. Bill Belichick, Marvin Lewis, Ron Rivera, Pete Carroll (actually started his career as the Bills DB Coach), Zimmer, Dan Quinn and the list goes on, only Quinn hasn't developed a QB from this list all other defensive minded coaches have, oh and Zimmer although he did wonders with Case Keenum.
  18. I'll say the same exact thing every single week, control the clock by running the football, keep the other teams offense off the field and play stout defense until we can get some help next season on offense we will have to play that kind of game. McCoy is also a weapon in the passing game and we have to start getting Charles Clay way more involved, he's probably our best WR and he's been underused since he got signed.
  19. Well that blows, he is who I was hoping we went after first, there are still some really good options though.
  20. I don't see many 1 year deals imo, there are some good OL available next season.... G Rodger Saffold (LAR), G Quinton Spain (TEN), G Michael Person (SF), G Ali Marpet (TAM), C Matt Paradis (DEN), C B.J. Finney RFA (PIT) could all upgrade this roster. maybe a select few would opt for 1 year deals.
  21. comparing your job to an NFL player is just foolish. They play a sport but it's also entertainment.
  22. There are 0 comparisons to OBJ and Owens imo, I have never seen OBJ in his driveway doing situps shirtless or crying "he's my QB man", or coming up with catchy slogans like "get yo popcorn ready", There is truly only 1 TO.
