  1. Ah the Buffalo Bills message board is now Two Bills Drive......sorry Two Bills Drive.
  2. Losing both Wood/Incognito to retirement was a huge blow to the offense, the 50M dead cap made it real tough to sign significant FA. I'd have liked to see the team pick up a solid veteran QB like Bradford but in articles I read we actually tried to sign him and he opted for Arizona. There was no savior #1 WR, this team is drafting and developing it looks like which is the proper way to go about having a successful franchise imo.
  3. We also drafted Matt Milano (5th round), Taron Johnson 4th round, by the logic that we have more late round picks should no team even try to draft players after the 3rd round?
  4. The HC has had 2 years to try and fix Whaley/Rex Ryan's mistakes. Beane has only been GM for a year and we've all seen what a good HC can do as we snapped a 17 year playoff drought. I think 2019 will define who this regime really is and my money is that we will have a contending team in the very near future and again I don't agree with everything they've done but the future looks bright imo.
  5. A team was dumb enough to give us a 3rd for Tyrod taylor and a 5th for AJ McCaron, you never know what other GM's value. Didn't we also get a pick for Marshal Newhouse?
  6. We're rebuilding, would a 29 year old CB even as good as Peterson make sense?
  7. It's hilarious when someone calls me a homer on here. I'm actually a huge Steelers fan and have been since Bubby Brister was the QB. I love how the Steelers go about building a roster through the draft which it looks like we're doing. Who are the ex Bills who are so good that we let go? I truly don't believe it's lack of talent, I think we have alot of young guys trying to progress together imo.
  8. You say our GM forgot about developing Allen with a veteran QB but we tried to sign Sam Bradford but he opted for Arizona instead, I'm sure playing with Larry Fitzgerald seemed like a better situation for him. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000920603/article/buffalo-bills-have-interest-in-qb-sam-bradford
  9. So far I'd say the future looks good... QB Josh Allen, WR Zay Jones, OT Dion Dawkins, ILB Tremaine Edmunds, DT Harrison Phillips, CB Tre'Davious White, OLB Matt Milano, S Micah Hyde, DE Trent Murphy, DT Star Louteleilei. All of these players are solid building blocks but this team needs a dominant edge rusher, #1 WR, future RB, a solid #2 corner, RT and a C or G which seems like a bunch but if we can hit on 2 or 3 this season and the rest the following season then I see this transitioning completely by 2020.
  10. The statement about being bad talent evaluators is just ridiculous, first off Sean McDermott is a HC not a talent evaluator and Beane has only done this for not even a full year so there is absolutely no way at this point to say he is or isn't good at his job. Harrison Phillips, Trumaine Edmunds, Dion Dawkins, Josh Allen look to be a solid foundation for the future and Zay Jones looks to finally be coming along slowly, the jury is put on OG Teller also so to say these guys can't identify talent on both sides of the ball doesn't really make much sense to me but again these are just my opinions and i get where you're coming from also.
  11. I wouldn't give up our picks for these players. It's time to draft and develop our own like all the big boy clubs do imo.
  12. Am I wrong? Had Mcdermott taken the Rams job what would he really had to have changed? Getting WR help? More secondary help? Call it excuses I guess but I just feel Mcvay would be in the same boat here that McDermott is in. I really don't get that since he's only been the GM of this team not even a full year but you're entitled to your opinion.
  13. I've thought this was the plan all along when they started trading Watkins/Dareus/Ragland and Darby last season. Those who say they don't believe this regime can draft the correct players I'd say Tre'Davious White looks pretty darn good, Milano, Dawkins as well and Allen/ Edmunds show promise so far. It's just hard watching another season of the same we've been watching for so many years but I'm excited for 2019 with all that cap space plus the draft picks. I like how we've drafted so far and we already have some decent free agents on the roster. The OL/WR and secondary will mostly look completely different next year which is a great thing imo.
  14. He didn't need "his guys", McVay inherited a 2nd year QB, the best RB in the league, picked up Woods in FA. What talent did Beane inherit? The only bright spot was Shady and although I liked Woods alot he was always going back to California.
  15. I say screw it and wildcat their ***** again, get Logan Thomas lined up for some throws, keep Belichick guessing for once, can't be any worse than what we've been doing.
  16. You're selling your opinion as fact. You have no clue how many picks will hit or how many FA's will become legit impact players so already saying they screwed it up is ridiculous imo and vice versa like you said. The plan has been to get Josh Allen progressing forward, he took a bit of a hit with the injury, this regime also wasn't planning on losing both Wood and Incognito which both had to be a kick to the nuts. Again I'm not agreeing to everything this regime does but together McDermott and Beane only will have 1 full season together, you aren't even curious to see what it might look like before ridiculing it?
  17. I truly believe you'd be saying the same thing about Mcvay right now, until this roster is rebuilt this is what we are. The defense can only hold so much with an offense that can't generate any points, Daboll can only do so much but we need to see way more creativity. I don't care if we have to reinvent the wildcat, we need to start putting points on the board, flea flickers, statue of liberty, old school Green Bay Packers Power Sweep, it would be nice to just say screw it and start doing something outside the box on offense.
  18. DT imo is not enough of an impact position to warrant such a high pick unless you're getting Aaron Donald 2.0 and in my whole existence watching football as a fan I've seen about a dozen who warranted that high of a pick but most don't live up to it.
  19. Scheme fit, some players can play in every system but most are scheme fit. Gruden on the other hand just may be out of his mind.
  20. You said in your post that all McDermott supports say Tyrod Taylor Sucks and put Peterman in so are you saying Tyrod Taylor is a good QB? It's really not a difficult answer. Again you must have misread what I wrote, I said luck doesn't play into winning football games? A bounce here and there or a TD on the last play of the game, is there now different levels of luck? Are you sure my post is awful, I think you might want to go back and read what I wrote.
  21. Tyrod is a good QB is what you're saying? Luck doesn't play any role into making the playoffs unless you're New England? I like McDermott, I don't think everything he's done is correct but for the most part before this season they were in most games. It's hard when you have an offense made of popsicle sticks and duct tape, yes they created those holes but they were necessary imo. All we can hope for is that with the cap we have and draft picks that these guys know what they're doing with all of it.
  22. Derek Anderson was just coming off a vacation with his family, I fully expected this to be a bad game unfortunately.
  23. I'm not so sure, right now Zay Jones is our best WR which is a great thing since he signed for 2 more seasons.
  24. I feel like I'm in the minority half the time when it comes to other fans thoughts or ideas. When we signed Mario Williams in free agency he was a stud DE, prize of FA and a generational type of player much like Khalil Mack and although we gave Williams a boatload of money to come here he was an elite player for 3 years so when you say he was an "under performing talent" it makes me laugh, the guy had 126 tackles, 38 sacks, 5 FF, 9 pass deflections, that is an under performing talent? Again Dareus was an elite player his 1st couple of years here which is why he got that giant contract and he was drafted by the team not a FA. The winning culture theory should be thrown out the door since this team made the playoffs last year, what we did 17 years ago is most likely erased, that's just an opinion of mine since if this were the case how would we land any free agents? You make a valid point about the taxes being an issue for players but the Giants/Jets and Bills never really had much trouble getting guys to play here, have you ever heard a player say I wouldn't sign with the Bills because the taxes are too high? Just asking. The location you state is not true and if you did a little research you'd find that the top tier free agents went to QB Kirk Cousins (Minnesota), QB Drew Brees (New Orleans), WR Allen Robinson (Chicago), CB Richard Sherman (San francisco), G Andrew Norwell (Jacksonville), CB Trumaine Johnson (New York), TE Jimmy Graham (Green Bay), QB Kase Keenum (Denver), WR Sammy Watkins (Kansas City), OT Nate Solder (Giants), CB Malcolm Butler (Tennessee), RB Carlos Hyde (Cleveland), DE Muhammed Wilkerson (Green bay), QB Sam bradford (Arizona), only 4 of these guys qualify in the regions you are talking about.
  25. He's a well respected coach in the league, not sure what it has to do with McDermott?
