I'm hoping this team takes a Chicago Bears type of leap, the Bears last year remind me of the Bills this year, a rookie QB, the OL needed work, no WR and a decent run game, relying on the defense to win them games why the rookie QB progresses and he had many ups and downs last year much like the ride Allen was on before he was injured. Now the bears did some patch work on the OL, Signed WR Allen Robinson, traded for LB Khalil Mack and you can tell Trubisky is progressing in the right direction so if we continue to build around Josh and take care of the offense through the draft and FA I don't see why we can't start contending for the playoffs and beyond.

This isn't the draft class like last year with all the QB options, right now it looks like QB Justin Herbet is the only top 10 QB in this class from what I'm reading and hearing, if that's the case then the Giants would probably take him 1st overall but alot can happen between now and the draft. This is also a defensive heavy top of the draft so are teams really going to be jumping teams for a top pass rusher? Would teams realistically give up a 1st in this draft and a 1st next year to move up 8 spots? I'm guessing no but we shall see and alot can and will happen leading up to the draft.

Tyrod would be a better option over what we have but he's still a mediocre QB, we need better than Taylor and all we can hope is that Josh Allen is that guy but it's way too early to tell.

I don't think we should cut anyone (other than Peterman and possibly Benjamin) but I must say TE Jason Croom looks like he could turn into a decent option going forward, he dropped that TD in the endzone but it would have been a miraculous catch, he seems to get open regularly, has good hands also.

Regardless of what you think he's been drafted as the "guy"so you can say he isn't or that you arent a fan of his, he has at the very least 2 more seasons, that is the reality of the situation.

Fitz is a solid backup...Nothing more, nothing less imo.

I don't think this is true at all, we already have our franchise QB, you maybe lose out for that QB but this is a top heavy defensive draft and were purposely sucking for some pass rusher? That makes zero sense to me. What has happened is this team tried to fix the defense this offseason and will try and fix the offense this coming offseason and they didn't have nowhere near the cap space/draft capital to do it all. I'm thinking they tried hard to get one of the top veteran QB's and all of them turned down the Bills with no real viable #1 WR so we were forced to sign Mccaron and he wasn't very good (I know the Alabama crowd or people who think his wife is hot will disagree but this is my take). The OL would have also looked much better with Dawkins LT, Incognito LG, Wood C, Miller RG, Mills RT. These are just all my takes on what I think went wrong here but to me this isn't a tank, if it were we would have traded all the veteran players for draft picks again imo.

Today Benjamin totally let Peterman hang out to dry, I'm of the belief that your QB makes the offense around him better but benjamin single handedly screwed him. That being said nothing that I saw from Peterman today would make me keep him on the roster, he takes way too many crucial sacks, he is an INt machine even when they aren't his fault, maybe he's just the most unlucky SOB for a QB but I'm expecting him to get the boot.

I'll state it time and time again, you also fail to mention both Ritchie Incognito and Eric Wood retired, it was a huge blow to this OL and unexpected. None of us know what happens behind closed doors either or reading that they tried to go after QB's Josh Mccown, Sam Bradford and Case keenum or sign WR John Brown to a 3 year 21M deal. Who knows what else they tried to do or trade offers they tried to make for players. I'm as unhappy as you about this offense but I wasn't hating it when Allen was in there, he was getting in game action that i thought was crucial and not having a very good backup killed us. I still want to see what this regime can do with a boatload of picks and tons of cap space because I'll be honest I like the way Beane has drafted so far in his 1 year of doing it full time.

Now that we have a future QB I don't care about this in the least, if we draft well at whichever spot we get it won't matter, we can field a winning team. We should not be thinking like this now that we have our QB imo.

Neither Peterman nor Barkley are the answer but the difference is Barkley at least resembles a backup QB, he can maybe get you 1 or 2 wins that Peterman clearly cannot do. I agree with many posters, he shouldn't be on this football team, maybe selling insurance with Heath Schuler.

Someone will overpay for Irvin and will most likely be disappointed.

I'm on board with letting someone go, the OC isn't very innovative, really we're rushing the football down 31-3? Then some terrible reverse? I don't think Daboll is what we need here and Castillo as OL coach can go as well. The way Benjamin plays is awful, I was hoping he'd be traded. Peterman shouldn't be on this roster by next week, he isn;t even worthy of a 3rd strign backup role all my opinions.

Why overpay for players just because they're healthy and available? Let other teams do that imo.

I'm totally expecting Matt Barkley to relieve him by halftime.

Julian Stanford will most likely be tasked trying to diagnose screen passes to tarik Cohen and cover TE Trey Burton, this should be entertaining to watch.

We need more Williams' so were in luck.

I feel Irvin is overrated, he's supposed to be a pass rusher, got top money from the Raiders and has never had double digit sacks in his career. I wouldn't mind bringing in a pass rusher but He really doesn't bring anything more to the table than Murphy does imo.
