  1. This past year when i was looking up and down the roster i was thinking to myself where is our Julian Edelman, Wes Welker, Darren Sproles, Austin Ekler type of player and then the Bills go out and sign 2 of those types of players in Cole Beasley and John Brown, I'm ecstatic about John Brown because not only is he a speed demon but he has a great set of hands to go along with it and Beasley catches everything. These 2 players are the types of guys the Patriots, Chargers, Eagles and the other good solid playoff caliber teams get and I wouldn't be surprised if we get more like them at positions like RB, CB who are versatile and bring other things to the table. I'm a little bit I don't want to say disappointed about the OL moves because I'm not, I love the Mitch Morse signing and he deserved the highest C pay, the dude hasn't allowed a sack since 2015, he will anchor this OL and were set there, I'm good with Dawkins at LT I think he'll bounce back from last season but the rest of the OL is all based off potential, The G we picked up from the Jets got straight up benched and he wasn't good on the Jets at all, I really like the G from the Raiders Jon Feliciano pickup but they are banking that he'll be a starting caliber G and that remains to be seen, not saying he can't but if not then what's the plan? Same for the RT pickup of Ty Nsekhe, the guy seems awesome and the signs all point to a decent starting RT but what if he isn't? I know we have the draft coming up but again these kids are potential also and will be learning on the fly. I'd love to see a pickup of Quinton Spain or Darryl Williams to put that at ease. We'd then have 3 legit starting OL and 2 potential guysat said positions but i still really like the moves. I love the CB Kevin Johnson signing, I followed him in college, he is an excellent fit here and will be a fan favorite for sure, paired with White and the other Johnson plus Hyde and Poyer that can be a dominant group. The only concern is Johnson has never been able to stay healthy and it's always been his downfall so heres to hoping because that was a very under the radar pick that could become the best one of the bunch I wasn't a fan of the frank Gore pickup, I get he still has some life left and he's a leader but for 2M I would have spent it elsewhere and i still hope we draft one in the mid rounds, maybe an Austin Ekler type. We have Ezekiel Ansah coming in tomorrow for a workout, if his medical checks out I'd love to sign him, again some medical issues but we need pass rushers in a very bad way and still think we draft one also. All these contracts are front loaded in case some backfire we have the option to bail on all of them so Beane has done a masterful job getting guys who fit what were trying to do here and we still have plenty of room left to make moves if necessary I'm very pleased at what they've done so far. .
  2. Well we know this, dropped balls will be a thing of the past because we got 2 guys in John Brown/Cole Beasley who catch everything, I'm not really sure why people are upset with this? Anyone want to explain rationally other than we didn't get AB.
  3. Funchess is an outside WR and John Brown is a slot WR, the way i see a WR is as good as his QB, did John brown fizzle or Flacco? My guess is Flacco since he was a healthy bench for a rookie QB imo.
  4. This was a great pickup not sure where you're getting your info from. He averaged 17 YPC, 700 + yards receiving and 5 TD with a broken down Flacco and jackson running all over teams, he and Snead were very bright spots on the Ravens but you're entitled to your opinion. I personally thought he and Crowder were the best slot WR available.
  5. Pass rushers of any kind should be welcomed, he and Murphy can be in rotation, I'd still like the team to draft one since Hughes' contract will be up next season.
  6. I used to say loading up on FA doesn't work and then the Rams came along and proved that theory wrong, I like most of the moves the Jets made, they improved both sides of the ball but still have glaring holes at CB, DL, TE and OL although matt Paradis would be a great pickup for them if he goes there which I hope he doesn't.
  7. Unless this OL get's at least another player like Darryl Williams or Saffold then i wouldn't like this pickup at all for the Bills. Bell is a lethal RB who can burn you with his legs and his catching ability which is great but he is a RB who waits for a hole to open before he hits it and we have nowhere near that OL... Yet. Yes there is the draft but filling those positions with rookies can sometimes work but most of the time it's a learning process in year 1, just my opinion though, I'd love Bell on the Bills but the OL would need more tweaking.
  8. I like the moves the Jets are doing, they help bolster the OL with Osemele, gave Darnold a dangerous weapon when healthy in Crowder, add what they think is a pass rusher in Barr (I'm curious how he fits on the jets defense) and Mosley is a stud, he shouldn't be making that much more than Keuchly but like another poster said there is a window before your QB is making ridiculous money so I'm hoping our staff has the same mindset (not so much in FA) but in general which I'm sure they do.
  9. I'm all for RT Darryl Williams, or a G like Saffold or Spain but trading for a WR just to get a WR seems like bad business to m and Green has been rapidly declining the past 3 seasons, 2 of which were injury riddled missing 13 games. Why not find our own AJ Green or Antonio Brown in the draft?
  10. We get our starting C, he was going to be the highest paid in the league regardless if it was us or someone else and I'm glad it was us. I was a bit higher on Paradis but either or was a great get imo. We landed our starting TE and although i wasn't overly thrilled with the amount Kroft got it's all front loaded for this coming year so they can get out of this contract next year if he is a major bust. It Seems injuries have kept this guy back ever since College but the guy is 6'5" had a comparison on his draft profile page to Travis Kelce and not only is he athletic but he is one of the better blocking TE also, he ran a 4.65 at his pro day. He put up solid numbers in 2017 starting in a bunch of games and raking in 7 TD passes until injury struck again in 2018. CB Kevin Johnson again like Kroft is injury riddled, if he can get some luck with him and he beats the injury bug i think we could have an excellent trio in White, Johnson and Johnson. I'll admit I didn't get the Gore signing, all this money tied up in old as dirt runners seems like wasted money to me but Gore and Shady on the same roster how the hell can you not love it? The dude oozes leadership and still runs his heart out, he is less than 600 yards away from surpassing freaking Barry Sanders on the all time rushing list, yes that's what i just said. I'm hoping for another G or T along the OL or a WR signing but I'm pretty happy with this, I knew we wouldn't be going Jets crazy in FA, they way overpaid on a guy who doesn't even seem like a scheme fit in Barr although I love the pickup of Crowder and the G, I don't feel like spelling all those vowels out.
  11. Not saying they have to but 18M per Flowers , 10.4 per Hughes and 8.4 per Murphy, that is a ton of money tied up there but Hughes does come off the books if not resigned the following year so who knows.
  12. You don'tr sign a FA and then release him the year after, if it's true that it's tougher to get FA to come here then I'd say cutting a FA after 1 season would make it even more difficult per me .
  13. Not a chance, you just signed a FA last season to come here and let him go, how would any FA want to come here after that? Just my opinion and was stated by Rodak also.
  14. He's 31, on the last year of his contract and is the 2nd highest paid, I guess we could absorb that contract for a year perhaps but the more likely scenario would be to cut Hughes since they signed Murphy to a fairly big FA deal.
  15. I'd guess that would be the end of jerry Hughes if we signed Flowers since he's 31 and owns the 2nd highest cap hit.
  16. Ian Rapoport‏Verified account @RapSheet 8m8 minutes ago More Former #Patriots OT Trent Brown has plans to sign with the #Raiders, source said, on a lucrative deal that makes him one of the highest paid LT’s in football.
  17. Again, Bell need's a very good to elite OL like Pittsburgh, he waits for the hole to open up before he hits it (That's what she said). I don't think bell is a good fit for that offense imo of course and Lamar Jackson now has a good deal of tape on him and how to play him. Maybe he'll still run all over defenses but the good teams will most likely at least have some ssort of an answer for him. Don't get me wrong Bell will be awesome no matter where he goes because of his dual threat capability but will be most effective with a top notch OL due to his running style, the Jets and Ravens don't have that type of OL imo but that doesn't mean they can't upgrade those positions in the draft or FA.
  18. Bell is a great all around back but he needs a dominant offensive line which the Ravens don't have imo. He waits to hit the holes, much like Brown his best bet is the Steelers or Cowboys both of which don't need his services.
  19. There is no way Julio Jones nets a 1st because the only team stupid enough to do that just got Antonio Brown, maybe they also shell over a 1st and do that deal also but if AB only nets a 3rd and 5th being the true best WR in football I can't see Jones going for more just because of leverage no way. If the deal was not the exact same as AB I'm letting someone else take that bait, he's a great player but does not put up nearly the numbers that Brown does and rarely puts up double digit TD but that's just my opinion.
  20. Amari Cooper isn't even close to the WR that AB is, about 200+ yards and 8 TD difference between the 2. They are getting a game changer for about the price that Randy moss cost the Patriots minus the giant cap hit but he should be the highest paid WR, he's the best in the NFL.
  21. Agreed , although I think Groy and Mills would be serviceable backups, Groy only as a G since he should never ever play center again for any reasoning. I'm not a fan of Jonah Williams at all, I don't think he's elite in either the run or pass blocking and he isn't crazy athletic.
  22. Spending all our cap on overpriced free agents to say we won the offseason.
  23. Why again are we moving Dawkins to G? Some of you want a rookie to man the blind side of our 2nd year QB? I hope this isn't even an option for our coaching staff, Dawkins wasn't great but the OL as a whole was garbage and he seemed like the only bright spot more nights then not. Why create a whole that doesn't need to be created? He played very well the year before next to solid OL even if it wasn't for the entire season. Just go after a solid G like Spain or Saffold or a C like paradis/Morse or a RT like Williams, add a few of these guys and things will flow a heck of alot better imo.
  24. My belief is that they'll splurge along the OL, my guess is RT Darryl Williams and LG Rodger Saffold both of which will upgrade the OL significantly. I also think after the whole AB situation they're at least looking at a veteran WR, I don't think they'll be able to land any of the big fish because our team isn't quite there yet but it will be soon imo, again if I had to guess I'll go with Jamison Crowder, if people really like Golden Tate then I think they'll love Crowder who should come at a discount considering his injury plagued 2018 season, to me he's a younger version with great hands and deceptive speed even though he ran a 4.48 and his pro day. I also think they'll take a flier on WR Kevin White, at 6'3" he ran a 4.35 40 time at the combine a few years ago, he has had a few injury plagued seasons so who knows what his speed is at now or where his head is at but sometimes all that it takes is a change of scenery and a chance, which he would get both here. I'd also expect a few low level signings here and there but that's what i'm sticking to in FA. They can still go WR and should and will most likely go pass rusher round 1, TE or WR round 2 and whatever same in round 3. This would solidify the OL and bolster the WR core. I just don't think this staff got rid of all these terrible contracts just to get themselves back in the same situation all over again, I fully expect us to do most of our damage in the draft working the draft board like they have the past few seasons.
