Something got exposed from that Eagles game on tape imo on defense, Star looks bad, Ed Oliver looks like hes getting pushed back but that Vincent guy looked like a good candidate for space eater, maybe he can handle it but we got gashed again this time by 100 year old Adrian Peterson. We will now face Nick Chubb, Philip Lindsay, Lamar Jackson, mark Ingram, James Connor and Leveon Bell again. I really hope things are shored up by then and why does it look like this defense every season has never seen a screen play happen before? I mean this defense gets destroyed year in and year out by bubble screens. I think we beat Cleveland, Denver, Miami and the Jets to close out the season 10-6

Agree to disagree Billsfan1959, guys like Big Ben, Jared Goff, Matthew Stafford and the list goes on, many guys game manage until things just start to sink in, usually by year 3. He's now got more TD passes than INT which is a real positive but the fumbles now need to stop. I don't have any problem with it since Allen comes from a small school where he had to do everything himself and he still has that mentality, you can see it on Sundays. Once he understands that he is more of a detriment to the team with that mentality than actually helping, that's when I think the switch turns and you can tell he isn't there yet, at least that's what I feel like I'm seeing from him. These are just my own opinions but I realize you may have your own as well and that's cool also.

They are but it's for his own good, now if they'd only stop letting him do designed QB runs that he's fumbling on every game that would be most awesome.

Cooper is going to want to be the highest paid WR in the league, he isn't the best WR in the league so why would we give him that money and why wouldn't we just draft a #1 WR?

I understand I have no idea what the value was out there, I get that but you're telling me a guy like DT Andrew Billings on a 1 year deal was going for more than a 4th? Kenyan Drake went for a 6th round pick that can turn into a 5th round pick, I'm not saying I wanted Drake but there were no guys even on the cheap who could have helped us at any position? I just didn't care for it and to say it the way he did seems very egotistical imo.

I absolutely hate that quote by McDermott, since there are so many trade scenarios it didn't have to be a huge trade like AJ Green but something minor that could have helped us in the long run. There could have been several positions that could have helped, you don't have to mortgage the future but to sit on your hands and do nothing when there are clear issues that need to be addressed? I'm not a fan of it.

He doesn't need to, find another young bruising back to go with him late in the draft.

I agree, there is no telling if he's regressed or not but for me I never thought he was great at his job to begin with. It would be interesting to see from like PFF or one of those sites how much of an impact Star is really making on our DL. I'm not overreacting to a bad loss, I'm just pointing out obvious concerns and he is one of them.

I would have trouble giving up a 4th for a 31 year old DT let alone a 1st and 4th, I agree we go for a trade with the Bengals but it would be for DT Andrew Billings, he's the space eating DT Star is supposed to be and I think he can be had for a 5th round pick, he's in the last year of his contract so if he performs well we can re-sign him, if not we gave up 1 of our 2 5th round picks. Geno Atkins doesn't really make sense because he'd be taking Ed Olivers spot not Jordan Philips or Stars spot imo.

Giants got robbed imo, he has been a huge disappointment. I agree some players just need a change of scenery but I don't see how that will help his desire and willingness to rush the passer.

I just don't understand the play calling by Daboll, I see Aaron Rodgers shred defenses not always by the deep ball, if teams take away the deep ball you throw it to your TE and backs, how about try some bubble screens? Do we have anything but homerun throws to Foster that he's clearly struggling with? Are we trying to get Allen to regress? I don't even know what I'm witnessing, we should be hitting teams with a solid run game each week that sets up some real good pass plays for Allen. Instead were asking a raw 2nd year QB to make the huge play on every other throw and run it what 18 times a game? What are these option QB runs with Allen? I just don't think this offense has any sort of identity.

I think the problem with the offense is more scheme, these weird QB option plays need to stop, it's killing this team. How about some screen passes to a RB, TE or WR? How about setting up the pass by running more. I'm fine with Gore getting the majority of carries especially since Singletary just came back from injury but do something creative with him, maybe a pass back to QB, Flea flicker, try some different thing that will benefit Allen. This play calling by Daboll has been very mediocre, I'd pound teams with a run game and get Allens confidence back out there, he's a turnover machine as of late, so much for game managing him.

I get that people are pissed that we lost but it's not like we lost to some scrubs, Carson Wentz was on his way to an MVP season 2 years ago before injury and then again the following year before getting injured again, this team won the SB a few years back also with alot of the same guys. I think we need a pass rush and better play calls on offense, maybe some screens, more running to get the pass game going imo.

There is no such thing as an easy win in the NFL, I believe every win is earned not given. A win is a win whether it's squeaking by or blowing the opponent out and when you get into the playoffs anything can happen. Does it matter how we get there as long as we get there?

Unfortunately we have no pass rush and Star gets pushed backwards, Hughes isn't putting up sack totals because he is the only guy they really have to worry about, we need another guy on the outside because Shaq Lawson and Trent Murphy aren't getting it done at all. Vic Beasley is supposed to be available by the Falcons, what about Carlos Dunlap of the Bengals? I'm hoping Star is gone next season, I just don't see him doing a good job out there, he gets pushed back quite a bit imo. I'm not down on Oliver whatsoever yet because he's a young guy trying to find his way and I think he'll eventually find it.

I know what Star's roll is on the team, he is supposed to be the Casey Hampton of our DL, I get that, eat up blocks so the more talented players can get to the QB. My question is that I'd actually want to know if he's doing his job since there is no way of really telling this stat. Again we just got gashed for over 200 yards on the ground against a solid Eagles team, how does this happen if Star is doing his job correctly? We also don't get many sacks and I was watching Star like a hawk in this Eagles matchup, he was getting pushed around on many plays where he actually went backwards.

I hated the Star Louteleilei pickup when we did it and haven't felt wrong about saying it since, he's supposed to be a space eater and he gets manhandled quite a bit. A space eater to me is someone like Casey Hampton of the Steelers who actually was impossible to move of the line, Star is not even in the same league. We could have paid many other guys to do what Star does and actually do it well, maybe I'm off base but I'd love to see something about how much of an impact he's actually making eating up blocks.

I would pass on Leonard Williams, 17 sacks in 5 seasons? O this year? That's more than just "Adam Gase sucks as a HC", he wasn't good with Bowles or now with Gase and that's a big concern. Robbie Anderson would be a nice addition imo.

If we can't win the game because Matt Milano isn't in there then we never had a shot to begin with, he's a very good LB for us but holy hell, it's called game planning for the teams best players, like Belicheat you take out your opponents best players, so cover Ertz with a LB and S? He's been shut down alot this season, Wentz can carve up defenses but if we get to him like we did to Tennessee then he like many QB's under distress can be beat.

What in the krump did I just witness.

This is why I think a guy like Corey Davis might make more sense than an AJ Green. Davis is a younger player, a guy I believe is victim of bad QB play who a change of scenery may help.

Von Miller would be the guy I'd go after as well.
