  1. I've yet to be impressed with any of the game calling by Daboll, very unimaginative, heck we don't even see many bubble screens or screens in general. I'm not sure if Daboll knows what that is.
  2. I wished we would have signed Philips to a decent but not back breaking contract last season (a 2 or 3 year deal would have been ideal) now he will command a pretty decent buck but he's earned it, he's made our defense stout in the middle against the run and pass imo. Shaq Lawson to me is fools gold, he only has shown up for his contract year, comparing him on any level to Ngakoue is not really even a comparison, Ngakoue has much more production but might be the lesser run defender but I'd take his pass rushing ability over run stuffing any day of the week but that's just me. I'd think pass rush and a tall WR with elite hands would be at the top of the list.
  3. My main concern which has pretty much been the concern since he was hired is with OC Brian Daboll, I see no creativity in most games which is why we let teams were supposed to beat back into games, this guy doesn't utilize Singletary nearly enough, I'm not saying i want a trick play on every other down but how about something creative once in awhile (flea flicker, Philly/Buffalo special) and does this team know how to run screen plays? It's clear to me we need a big WR who can catch not only for those first down plays but as a redzone target, we also need to upgrade the OL, it's much better than a season ago but still needs help especially on the right side.
  4. You can find top notch WR in all different rounds. Antonio Brown was a 5th rounder, Stefon Diggs was a 5th round pick, Adam Theilen was an undrafted rookie FA, they can be found all over and Beane is pretty darn good at drafting so there should be no need to go and trade assets when we should be able to find our guy somewhere in the draft imo.
  5. To me what makes a guy a franchise QB is making players around him better, I thought last year when he was making guys like Mackenzie, Robert Foster and Zay Jones look good that he was turning himself into that franchise QB, it's even more evident with upgrades. He's really making Beasley, Brown and Dawson Knox look really good imo not that they weren't good players before this but i think their play has elevated with Allen as the QB for sure.
  6. Isn't a gimmick a 1 time thing sort of like the wild ca cat offense that was figured out a year later? Lamar Jackson was doing this last season and brought the ravens to the playoffs more with his legs than his arm and this season he's great at both, to me he looks like he has Michael Vicks running ability with Patrick Mahomes arm where he can wing it anywhere on the field, it's your opinion that he's a gimmick but teams had plenty of tape to contain Jackson in year 2 and he's much better than last season so I'm just asking what you're seeing to think the way you do.
  7. That gimmick Offense just destroyed the SB runner up dominant defense last season, beat up on the #2 Pats defense and we'll see what he does this week against the 49ers defense, that's one hell of a gimmick.
  8. Most fans don't know the game of football they think if we draft a player and he doesn't look like a hall of famer right out of the gate he should be traded or cut. He appears to be getting the hang of things, he was Stout bull rushing his way to that sack almost for a safety.
  9. I don't see this as trash talk, Cam was phenomenal in that SB year both passing and on the ground, Allen isn't there yet but I have no doubt he will be but I don't see Cam Newton i see Big Ben with a touch of Favre's gunslinger mentality imo.
  10. Wait you blow off the mere counting stats then use mere counting playoff stats as your point? There really isn't even a debate as the mere stats shows.
  11. Blocking is how you decide who is the best TE in history? Gronk is 32 TD behind Tony G and 37 behind Antonio G Gronk has 3,900 less yards than Gates, 7,266 yards behind Gonzalez Gronk had 434 less Receptions than Antonio Gates, 804 less receptions than Gonzalez Gronk is nowhere near even in the same convo as those guys other than the playoff stats.
  12. I don't get the Allen/Tyrod comparisons at all, Allen keeps most of these games within reach and I've never felt like we were out of it even when he fumbles or makes a bone headed play. Hell if he didn't get knocked out in that NE game I think he would of pulled another win we shouldn't have had out of his ass. How many 4th QTR comebacks has Tyrod ever had? Allen has 6 game winning drives so far. Imagine if the Steelers gave up on Big Ben who fans had to wait 4 seasons before he turned into the QB he is today, Matthew Stafford took until year 3, Jared Goff, year 3 and countless others. In fact the game managing is really similar to that of Big Ben, he game managed for 3 seasons maybe it's a small school thing? I mean going form Wyoming offenses to the NFL has to be a hell of a leap and he doesn't even have 2 full seasons under his belt yet he is a winner and were friggin 7-3 facing the Broncos next. You state we want the same thing yet say our 7-3 QB sucks...Why? Because he doesn't have a 300 yard passing day every week? How's that working out for Kyler Murray? I get not everyone likes Allen like yourself but to say the guy straight up sucks is laughable imo.
  13. After watching Bo Jackson play that season, I thought he could be the best RB to ever play, he was that good. It's a real shame that he was injured
  14. Best TE in the game? That would be Tony Gonzalez or you could argue Antonio Gates.
  15. Garrett should never be allowed to play football again imo, if he had hit him with the other part of the helmet we could of seen a man dead on the field.
  16. I know you disagree but I think it's a smart way to bring up Allen imo. You have to remember though the HC isn't in charge of the offense, that's the OC, so wouldn't it be OC Brian Daboll who is too conservative or did you mean in general with his on the field game management?
  17. Many posters on here say this team isn't talented enough yet to compete but we still boast a winning record, to me that would make McDermott one hell of a HC imo. It's your opinion about Flores (Who I think is going to be a great HC btw) but how can you even compare the 2 at this point? He took a mediocre Bills team to the playoffs 2 years ago and now has another start of a winning season under his belt this year, I'm just wondering why you think that?
  18. Unfortunately as fans of a losing team for over a decade, I think the real problem is us as fans expect instant gratification from Allen, it's clear he's developing each week but it can't come soon enough. He clearly needs time to develop much like Big Ben, Matthew Stafford, Jared Goff and the list goes on. I have no problem with what they're doing with Allen but the more baffling situation is the running game, if were game managing Allen why aren't we running the ball down teams throat to set up that big home run throw from Josh? To me that's the more pressing issue than Josh Allen, since imo I think he's developing nicely.
  19. I'm not a fan of Daboll at all, the QB option plays when you have Singletary/Gore are just head scratching. Maybe it worked last year or in the beginning of the year but it seems we use it every single game and every single game Allen fumbles the ball away in a key moment. Why does it seem like this team doesn't even know what a screen pass is. it may be just me or it's just my A.D.D. kicking in but I see all the legit teams that I believe are playoff teams do these nice design screen passes, where is that sweet design screen to our play makers? I wasn't a huge Daboll fan when we signed him. I just want a guy with an exciting offense, it doesn't have to be record breaking but do you think for 1 second Brian Daboll would have ever in his right mind thought of the Philly (Of course it would be the Billy special in our case) special against the New England Patriots in the SB? I think he'd have been so out classed and you saw it against NE earlier in the season.
  20. Star's pay scale is not the problem, the problem is he gets pushed backwards more times then not (And yes I know you can't maintain the block every time), he is supposed to be the guy to maintain or take up a guy to free the LB's to get to the ball carrier or QB . If he's getting manhandled to the point that he's not freeing up that LB, that's when you start to take notice. And to say the DL is fine? They signed Star Louteleilei in FA, drafted a DT 9th overall, added Jordan Phillips off waivers and now signed FA Corey Liuget, that doesn't seem fine imo. If he was doing his job what would be the reason they sign Liguet when they brought up Vincent from the practice squad? All signs point to Star not maintaining his block long enough or not at all and Oliver can't get to the QB. That's not a whipping boy it's a legit concern but again these are my own opinions.
  21. LT Bob Whitfield of the Atlanta Falcons I believe was blind in one eye also, he played at an all pro level in a few seasons for them.
  22. I'm of the belief that the QB makes the team around him better, he should have made the difference and he had the reigns of that Bucs team, it was his to lose and he lost. Those are really good players to throw to and the OL wasn't a complete dumpster fire either. Remember he won a few games and wore DeSean Jacksons gold chains with the chest hair hanging out? He got them a few decent wins but as we all know that's what he does, shows us he can be the man then turns into Todd Marinovich. He's definitely one of the best if not the best backup of all time and I wasn't crapping on your thread (which I enjoyed the read btw) just letting you know he was the man of a very good offense and turned into what we all know he turns into at some point.
  23. So having Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Cameron Brate, DeSean Jackson and OJ Howard to throw to wasn't a good team? Come on man, it doesn't get much better than that, he is what he is like you said.
  24. He wants every single record in the books, why wouldn't he want to be regarded as the best to ever play?
