  1. He's great in space too, not just as an edge rusher. He played Safety prior to DE. Yes, there will a learning curve but his potential is through the roof. That's exactly what we need. We aren't contending for a SB this year. We don't NEED a player to step in next season that will propel us to a super bowl. It's not going to happen. He has tremendous upside at a position of need. That's why I'd like to take him. You don't. Cool. Don't say he's a 3-4 OLB. He played that in college for a couple seasons. He also played safety. He's a football player with athleticism teams drool over. Is he a sure thing? No. There are no sure things where we are picking.

He will be drafted by a 3-4 D team. Guaranteed.

  2.

I hear ya. He's scum for sure. I just think he's a super talented back. I don't think there's much of a chance he's there round 3, that's why I listed him on the "if they slip in the draft" list. But I'd understand why someone wouldn't even have him on their board. I doubt Whaley/McD has him on the board

I've had the name since 2001 or whenever I signed up. Sorry to disappoint though

What do you mean he IS a 3/4 Lb? He's an uber athletic LB that has the tools to excel as a 4-3 WLB without question. Did you see him drop into coverage in the senior bowl? Looked dam good. I doubt many GMs would agree with you that he's just a 3-4 LB. He's actually a bit light not strong at the point of attack which hurts him as a 3-4 LB. He started out playing safety, has fluid hips and everything a scout would look for as a 4-3 WLB. Anyone else care to give their thoughts on Reddick playing WLB for us and if he's a fit?

Glad you don't like Jones or Godwin. Makes me feel better about my Reddick pick.

Thanks. Like many would agree, the offseason is the most enjoyable part of the Bills season. I dive in pretty hard. I live in Vegas and spend a good amount of time in the sports book. The more I know about the players coming out in college, the more effective I can be making $.

Forget that thought. BuffaloBud420 just informed me that Reddick is a 3-4 OLB so he's a bad pick.

I like Samuel a lot too. Would be happy with him in rd 2 as well.

Pretty much sums up my beliefs as well. I doubt Jones gets a chance unless TT goes down with an injury or week 17. Never know thoug, we could get stomped on and if we're 3-8 or so, he might get his chance. While next years QBs are still an unknown at this point, I'd also rather roll the dice with them than any of this years QBs in rd 1

Reddick is an edge rusher, not a great tackler. Can he play in a 4-3? Sure. There will be a learning curve. We don't need that with our 1st pick.

  3. It was the SB. You know, that game with the supposed two best teams? That might have had something to do with all that scoring. If you believe the Bills will be on the level of NE and ATL with the addition of your draft picks, then stick with your opinion. Personally, I lean big time towards ndirish's position.

As much as I like TT, I don't regard him as an elite QB, particularly for the passing game, so McD is going to have to find another way to win. I've got to believe that begins with a dominant D, a strong Oline, and an elite running game. So the holes in those three parts are the ones that get priority in the draft and FA signings I would imagine.

About your "If Tyrod can't get them the ball, move on" order, now you're just being silly. You know darn well he's here for this year for certain and likely next year as well, so there will be no "moving on" for awhile. Maybe by then Cardale will be sizzling (though I wouldn't count on it). Or maybe Sam Darnold will be discovered in an Easter basket on Pegula's yacht. In the meantime, in the real world (not the world of "alternative facts"), this is the team we have. In the immortal words of The Firesign Theater, "Live it or live with it."

Bills brought in Williams for visit and have been looking at multiple QBs in draft. "Leave it or live with it"

  4. Reddick is good value at 10. I'd rather have Cunningham, Davis or Foster over a WR that will get 4 targets a game if they're lucky.

Not sure what makes you think it's an offensive league

It's an offensive league if you have a franchise QB. If you don't, you're only chance is to build a dominant defense. Ramon Hunber will never start for a dominant D in the NFL. Nor will Ben Boulware.

The 60+ points in the Super Bowl say otherwise. If Tyrod can't get them the ball, move on.

  5. Your mock draft selection were poor ones in my opinion. Disagreeing with your draft doesn't mean a thing about my football knowledge, it means I have an opinion that is contrary to yours. You chose a LB who cannot play the one open linebacking position we have open, instead opting for a plodding player who could likely only play SAM, the one position we actually have backups for.

It's how you said it. When 4+ said it was a great draft.

  6. Because we rarely throw the ball and our QB is meh. I'd rather draft a QB and hope he's better than TT. 2 stud WRs is useless imo. If we want to draft a pass catcher in rd 1 I'd rather go with oj Howard. Fits our scheme better imo.

Prefer to go defense rd 1. We need an OLB (Reddick, Davis, Cunningham if Foster is off of our board) badly. Like....really bad

None are good value there. It's an offensive league and Sammy has injury problems.

  7. It's an interesting draft, in that it addresses most all of the needs of the team. The issue is that it doesn't address them correctly. Williams may end up being a fantastic receiver, but there will be better talent To suit our needs there at 10. The rest of the draft is all 3rd and 4th tier players at their position at best. Appreciate the effort though

There was a scout on WGR that said, you could get a starting CB in the 6th. Very deep class there. I liked LB Foster until his drug test.

Williams and Davis should be studs. Guys like Zay Jones and JuJu Schuster are just like a Robert Woods type. Why not try to have 2 stud WRs?

  8. yeah we are obsessed with this name. Does not get good separation and we don`t have a Qb. that likes to throw into tight windows.

Not true at all. Williams got separation from some of top college corners...and Tyrod needs to start fitting the ball in or he is gone.

  9. That mock totally depends upon how good QB Webb turns out to be. I'm not overly impressed by him.

he not likely to overtake Taylor. There's no sense in drafting a QB unless he can eventually supplant Taylor.

I don't like the Clemson LB either. He's too small and too slow for the NFL. He might be okay as a 3-4 ILB. The Bills will be looking for speed, speed, speed at LB for this new 4-3 scheme.

I too expect the Bills to look to trade down at least once in R1, if not twice. If they're not enamored with any of the top four QBs then there is no reason for them to stay at #10 overall. That's because they could trade down to as low as #17, pick up probably two more picks, and still get a very good player at #17.

They have certain needs that MUST be filled in order for the team to be competitive in 2017. Most of those needs are on defense. In my estimation they need two CBs, a S, at least one LB (depending upon where Alexander plays). They could really use an impact player on the D-line as well.

On offense, they can probably get by with what they have at QB (Taylor/Yates/Jones), but will likely take a late round flyer on someone like Dobbs or even Kelly. I think the O-line is fine with the likes of Glenn/Incognito/Wood/Miller/Kouandjio/Mills/Ducasse/Groy/Henderson. I'd like to see an impact player at TE and WR. Clay needs someone to push him at TE. Watkins can't be trusted to stay healthy for very long. If he could, then there wouldn't be such a great need at WR.

Holmes, C. Brown, Butler, Powell, Tate are all capable players. Listenbee could be a nice surprise.

Yates is just a camp body imo, if Cardale does well he will be cut. Webb could be another option for the future, if Taylor doesn't step up this year.
