  1. My wife and mother in law saw it at the theater and liked it. I had the naked bicycle race poster on my bedroom wall when I was 16 I guess. My mom freaked out and took it down. I will see it when it comes out on disc and I can crank up my stereo.
  2. I couldn't possibly care less. Watching self important people pat themselves on the back doesn't interest me. It is a bunch of empty narcissistic nonsense that people are programmed to deem meaningful somehow. I do enjoy a good movie, though I haven't been to the theater in many years. I generally don't watch commercial television except when necessary for sports. I stream the movies and series I like. Frank Zappa's 'I Am the Slime': SIMILAR SONGS I am gross and perverted I'm obsessed 'n deranged I have existed for years But very little has changed I'm the tool of the Government And industry too For I am destined to rule And regulate you I may be vile and pernicious But you can't look away I make you think I'm delicious With the stuff that I say I'm the best you can get Have you guessed me yet? I'm the slime oozin' out From your TV set You will obey me while I lead you And eat the garbage that I feed you Until the day that we don't need you Don't go for help . . . no one will heed you Your mind is totally controlled It has been stuffed into my mold And you will do as you are told Until the rights to you are sold That's right, folks . . . Don't touch that dial Well, I am the slime from your video Oozin' along on your livin' room floor I am the slime from your video Can't stop the slime, people, lookit me go I am the slime from your video Oozin' along on your livin' room floor I am the slime from your video Can't stop the slime, people, lookit me go
  3. Pretty sure it is still a Billsbacker bar. I used to play in pool tournaments there before it was Doolans. I think it was originally called Mulligans. The owner John had another bar at the top of Main that was the ASCAP lounge during Sundance filmfest. I ran the restaurant upstairs and John would give me a couple laminates to get in the lounge. The public was not allowed and it was full of industry folks and celebrities. Saw some great music there, Bob Dylan, Michael McDonald, Suzanne Vega, The Flying Burrito Bros. Garth Hudson, Cake, Calexico to name a few. Hung out with Susan Sarandon while watching Tim Robbins' punk band.
  4. If Lanier hadn't gone down I think they had a really good chance of winning it. Really cool you got to be at those games, I was only 8 at the time and don't remember it as well as you. I remember a sporting goods store on Abbott rd having a replica of Lanier's size 24 shoe in the front window.? I remember Artis Gilmore was too much to handle without Lanier and Jacksonville shot 45 frickin fts.
  5. Weapons are important but an elite offensive line makes everything and every skill position better. That should be the top priority imo, and there is no reason why they can't significantly improve both.
  6. Saw him a couple summers ago with Steve Miller, they were great. He only played a few songs from 'Comes Alive' and mixed in a lot of great classic stuff. I hadn't seen him since the Rich Stadium show in the 70s. I would recommend going to the show while you can, I think Jason Bonhams Zep band is opening. That was an epically bad movie.?
  7. He is only 24, his knock coming out of college was his blocking, sometimes lazy route running and focus drops. His athleticism for his size is a strong point. If he improves year over year he may stick in the league.
  8. I was at a lot of those weekend doubleheaders at the aud 68 69 70 with my older brother who went to Canisius High and College. He was friends with a couple guys on the team and was friends with Paul Grys from St Bonnies. Grys later became their AD. The Aud would be packed and rowdy for those games. Got to see Lanier and Murphy play quite a few times, Tony Masiello was the star of Canisius and got drafted by the Pacers. He later was known as Anthony Masiello, Buffalo's mayor from 94 to 05. I followed every game of St Bonnies final 4 run in tournament and was crushed when they lost to Jacksonville. I also remember being disappointed when the Braves passed on a chance to draft Murphy in the 70 NBA draft. Murphy is the shortest player in the HOF, and before he played ball at Niagara he used to entertain the Bills crowd at halftime in the Rockpile as an expert baton twirler. ? http://blog.buffalostories.com/the-rise-and-fall-of-buffalos-college-hoops-golden-era/ My grandfather graduated Canisius High in 1906 and my dad and his brothers, all my male cousins, two brothers and myself are all alumni. I wanted to stay in the neighborhood and go to Timon but was not allowed.
  9. At this point in Clays career James is definitely an upgrade imo. He is a good blocker, decent route runner and has good hands. He doesn't have a lot of athletic upside but he is only 25 and is well rounded. I think he is one of the top 3 or 4 available and would be a good get by the Bills. Pair him with a high upside draft pick and it would be the best TE situation they have had in a while. The Bills tes were collectively about the worst in the league last year.
  10. Back in 85 86 I was a bartender on Main St Park City. Jazz coach Frank Layden was an afternoon regular in the off-season. He would come in with Lou Hudson from Atl Hawks fame and they would sit at my bar, have lunch and beer, and talk ball. Had a lot of great conversations with those guys. Frank had a great Brooklyn sense of humor.
  11. Green Pig Pub in downtown SLC is the only Billsbacker bar that I know of in the area. You don't need to bring your own booze, the state liquor stores have a huge selection and the prices are comparable if not cheaper than other places. Beer is only 3.2 in places with no liquor license. A lot has changed in the last 10 to 20 years or since the last time Marv was there evidently.
  12. Hill AF base is near Ogden, a nice mountain college town with 27000 students at Weber State Univ.. Right in the morning shadow of the Wasatch mts. they have public transport to amazing cross country skiing and two world class ski resorts, Powder Mt and Snowbasin. In the summer hiking biking and fishing opportunities abound. The town itself has a lot of historical buildings as it is the first permanent non native settlement in Utah, 1846. The views from Main st are spectacular. The town has a population of around 90000 but the outlying metro area is around 500000 and basically adjoins the SLC metro area. Has a relatively low cost of living and has plenty of restaurants, bars, and live music. If you like the outdoors right next to a nice small city you will probably like it there. Was rated #7 on Forbes best places to raise a family.
  13. I lived in Park City from '84 to '90 and again with my wife from 2000 to 06. Skied and mountain biked all the time. Was a ski bum in the 80s bartending and waiting tables at night after skiing in the day. Brought my wife there on a vacation in 2000. Ended up reconnecting with a lot of old friends and moved back to manage a friend's restaurant and ski 6 more years. I loved it and have so many great memories. Money has changed the town so much but I still have a lot of friends there and I am glad I got to be there when it was still relatively undiscovered in the 80s. Check out the National Parks in southern Utah, especially in the spring. They are incredible.
  14. https://www.tmz.com/2019/02/22/robert-kraft-new-england-patriots-sex-spa-jupiter-florida-tourist-hot-spot/ Tourists flocking to get a glimpse of the place. Naked old dude hanging out in front. True story.
  15. He will be getting paid a lot better too. Fitz might be a starter somewhere.
  16. Cmon man, all the TBD experts know that compensatory picks are a worthless joke and anyone concerned with them is an idiot. Pay attention.
  17. If the videos come out it will Never go away for Kraft. He will be on every porn sites celebrity page along with Paris and Kim K. Helluva way for his legacy to play out.
  18. I read that Kraft "categorically denies the allegations". They have video of him arriving in a chauffeur driven limo and video of him engaged in sex inside but he categorically denies it. It's Fake News!!!
  19. In other news R Kelly charged with 10 counts of criminal sex abuse with 4 girls, 3 of them between 13 and 16 yrs old, in Cook Co. today. And Don Nelson 78 yr old former coach of Warriors is now hanging out with Willie Nelson in Hawaii smoking pot.
  20. Or just $59 for a half hour at the human sex trafficking sweatshop if you are a billionaire looking to save money.
