  1. I can understand the need for veteran leaders, but how old do you need to be to be a veteran? Kroft will be 27 and in his 5th year, can't he be the veteran presence? Also the Bills te coach is 48 and has been an NFL te coach for 12 years. A veteran presence doesn't have to be someone past their prime.
  2. Congrats! I hit a 5 wood up a pretty big hill in a boys district golf championship tournament at Elma Meadows when I was 13, couldn't see the green but the shot looked good. Got to the top and we couldn't find my ball. I was looking in the heavier grass off the back of the green when one of the guys found it in the hole. My first eagle. I eagled the 1rst hole in the boys championship at Bethlehem Management Club in Hamburg when I was 13 or 14, a 380 yd par 4 from the whites. I ended up taking 2nd in the tournament. Days after the fact another kid told me the winner who wasn't in my group cheated on the last hole. He lost his ball in the deep rough and then dropped one further up near the edge of the fairway without even taking a penalty. I lost by one stroke. The word got around that he cheated. I was already over it though and didn't file any protest or grievance. The club is now called Brierwood. My best shot as an adult was when I drove the green on a 320 yd dogleg left in Park City Utah by hitting a huge drive over a tall stand of trees just missing the water to the left front of the green, ending about 8 to 10 feet from the pin. I sank the put for an eagle 2 and shot a 1 over 37 for nine that day. I've hardly played in the last 25 years, only once every couple years when I see my brother. I still hit it pretty straight when I do but not nearly as far. I like to swing a club in the yard once in a while. Used to love playing golf, maybe I will get my clubs out and hit some balls.
  3. Who is Gendry's mother? He told Ned Stark she had yellow hair. I have a feeling there is a reveal of some sort coming up regarding that. I just realized maybe that was only for the info that convinced Ned that Baratheon kids always had dark hair, even with a yellow haired woman like Cersei, making her kids illegitimate.
  4. The throne sits empty because the lust for it destroyed the Kingdom. They become an autonomous collective. Just because some watery tart lobs a sword at ya doesn't make you king.
  5. Awesome!!! Now please get down from there!!!
  6. If that's true and he is not a sure thing to start then making him the 19th highest paid wr in 2019 cash and 26th highest paid in avg per year seems kind of dumb. I take that back, if he is not good enough for whatever reason then it was a risk they felt was worth taking. A swing and a miss, it happens. Nevermind.
  7. What this says to me is wr talent on the Bills is not very good. I think the talent was pretty much the worst in the league last year or close to it, and it is improved but still bottom third. The idea that there weren't receivers in the draft after the 2nd rnd who could beat out any of the Bills and make the team is laughable to me. A couple years from now that will be clearly evident imo. Brown and Beasley are each guaranteed over $11 million, if they are not good enough to start on this team Beane will look pretty stupid.
  8. Calais Campbell, Chris Harris would be amazing additions. Hard to imagine them being available though.
  9. I played organized football, hockey, basketball and baseball in various combinations and times in my childhood. I also swam and dove competitively for a few years. The one negative thing that sticks out about all those different teams and sports after all these years is the parents who were way too involved and coaches who took things way too seriously. The influence and pressure on the coaches, the favoritism and nepotism the coaches displayed. The abusive behavior of some coaches. I was the sixth out of seven kids and my parents were not those kind of parents. As much as I loved sports certain parents and coaches could take the joy out of the game.
  10. Fisher was a star tight end and defensive lineman in high school. He also caught one more td in college than Dawson Knox.☺ Will be interesting to see how he moves at 260 lbs. In college at 300 he was an excellent blocker on the move in space and looked very smooth and athletic for his size. There will be a battle in camp for the last te spot.
  11. All 3 of them have played guard in college or pros.
  12. 6'8" 330 lb beast, he caught 13 passes for 123 yds and 3 tds in the Arena league.?☺ Maybe Dawkins plays guard this year? One of them will kick inside or be depth I would guess.
  13. I saw him a couple weeks before he died, Taj Mahal was the opening act. Stevie was absolutely on fire, he was sober and had recently been through rehab. He played with incredible energy and clarity. I was shocked when he died a few weeks later.
  14. Jordan Reid@JReidNFL Just to put Ed Oliver’s 4.19 short-shuttle time into perspective, here’s some other notable results: 4.18 – Antonio Brown 4.19 -- Ed Oliver 4.19 – DeSean Jackson 4.24 – Saquon Barkley 4.24 – Le’Veon Bell 4.25 – Julio Jones 4.39 – Aaron Donald 4.40 -- Devin Singletary 10:08 AM - Mar 28, 2019 Twitter Ads info and privacy Cat like quickness for a 290 lb man. Over 110 lbs heavier than Desean Jackson and Antonio Brown. Incredible. Here is a comparison with Donald, they are about the same ht wgt and arm length. 40-yard dash 3-cone Short shuttle Vertical Broad Bench Donald 4.68s 7.11s 4.39s 32″ 116″ 35 reps Oliver 4.73s 7.15s 4.19s 36″ 120″ 32 reps
  15. Hakeem Butler will be a star imo. Nothing against Singletary or Knox and I am hoping they both turn out to be awesome picks, but I think front offices were wrong to pass on Butler in the 3rd round. Also every big board I could find had him higher than both of those guys, I am sure there were boards like Buffalo's that didn't but I couldn't find them. I am happy with the Bills draft and this is not a complaint but GMs are wrong a lot and the fact that they pass on players is not an indication or proof that they were right to do so. I understand the rosterability part, but the Bills don't have any 6'5" 230 lb 4.48 40 wrs who led the nation in 20+ yd receptions. Hoping we get lucky, solid strategy.?
  16. I predict the Jets offensive line will suck, Bell will be ineffective and start throwing the line and organization under the bus by midseason. The Jets will be stuck with an unhappy, overpaid primadonna rb. Glad the Bills stayed away from him and Brown, too much ego.
  17. Wow, awesome deflection by Backes.
  18. Just tuned in, cmon Blue Jackets. That sounds kinda stupid, what a ***** name. Can't stand the ***** Bruins.
  19. Seeing the difference on draft night between him and Q Williams was a striking contrast to me. Williams looked like an overgrown youngster with a lot of baby fat still on him, Oliver looked like a grown man that moved like a cat.
  20. I expect the Chiefs and the Steelers to not be as good as last year. Same for the Ravens and I also think that Houston has a tough schedule and their record will suffer as well. Chargers Colts Patriots and the Steelers or Browns are division favorites I think. 9-7 or 10-6 will win the AFC North. I don't expect the Jets to make the playoffs and I think Bell will not be the same force he was in Pittsburgh. Their offensive line will be a major weakness. I think the Bills will have a shot at the playoffs if they stay healthy. The lack of elite wr talent and an aged backfield, the rookie being a ?, are a couple of concerns. All in all I think this will be the most talented team the Bills have fielded for years, just need it to come together.
  21. I think even if he is still able to play that he will face suspension by the NFL. He needs help and should not be playing anymore imo. He has had issues throughout his life but the last few years his deterioration has been pronounced. I think he is brain damaged.
  22. I know his history, but to be 26 now and say "if he can stay out of trouble" seems ridiculous to me. Just prove you can play and stay out of trouble. For him to say 'if' implies he somehow has no control of his actions.
