  1. I just remembered Fournette was throwing punches and got kicked out vs the Bills. ***** that guy.?
  2. He was 4th in the league in yds after contact and rushed for 1150 yds, 4.3 per carry. That's pretty good for 4.1M imo. He also caught 76 passes for another 520 yds., that's almost 1700 yds from scrimmage. How many rbs had more? 4
  3. That's right, 4.1M is the 2020 hit for a team that trades for him. Jax cap hit is 8.6M if they keep him and 4.5M if they let him go. Maybe a late round pick after the draft would get it done if the Bills are interested. I could see an incentive for both sides.
  4. I gave it an A because I don't think any wr at pick #18 would be able to offer what Diggs can this year, no matter how good they eventually turned out to be. Whether that pick even turns out to be good at all is another risk. Diggs is proven and the Bills needed another good wr now. What solidifies the grade is the extremely reasonable contract for a veteran player of his caliber.
  5. Yes, South Korea is considerably smaller. That doesn't change the fact that they acted quickly and had a coordinated testing program rolled out in one week after they and the US recorded their first case on the same day. The difference between their response and what has happened here is like night and day, as are the results to this point. I actually thought I was posting in the covid 19 thread, not the whatever this thread is. I'm not interested in who's to blame, that is useless right now. This problem is far from over and so far it has not been handled very well for whatever reasons. I want a functioning government that is intently focused on the task at hand. This is a time for positive action and not blame. I have family and friends working on the front lines who don't have what they need. I find it unacceptable, disgraceful, and embarrassing that this country cannot get it together and provide what is needed. I am so tired of hearing nothing but excuses and blame.
  6. Regardless of your political bent the fact remains that the countries who have fared best are the ones who quickly got busy testing and contact tracing. South Korea and the US had their first case on the same day. Look at how things have gone since then. Results are what matter, not useless rhetoric or blame.
  7. Boston, Cornell and Buffalo 77(my 1st show) Incredible 3 night run. https://archive.org/details/gd77-05-07.sbd.eaton.wizard.26085.sbeok.shnf https://archive.org/details/gd1977-05-08.shure57.stevenson.29303.flac16 https://archive.org/details/gd77-05-09.sbd.connor.8304.sbeok.shnf Hollywood Palladium 71 and Oregon Country Fair site 72 for good measure. https://archive.org/details/gd71-08-06.aud.bertrando.yerys.129.sbeok.shnf https://archive.org/details/gd72-08-27.sbd.braverman.16582.sbefail.shnf I skip the lengthy stage announcements. Great soundboard of a great show.
  8. Yes, the thrill of victory and unfortunately for this poster child, the agony of defeat.
  9. I went to college in Albany and had a blast at that show with a bunch of friends. Easily one of the best shows of the year imo (1983). Here it is in its entirety. https://archive.org/details/gd83-06-18.senn421.nawrocki.14411.sbeok.shnf unfortunately I don't think there is a soundboard recording. There may be better taper recordings out there. Either way a great show, impossible to capture the energy of being there.⚡⚡⚡
  10. Regardless of whether Carr is one to talk, that workout video is freaking hilarious.? Hard to believe they posted that.
  11. If the Bills didn't have Allen would you want Winston? I know I wouldn't. The upside is just not there. He is what he is at this point imo. I noticed he only has 7 4th qtr comebacks in 70 starts. Josh has 6 in 27. His record as a starter is 28-42. He's not eating enough Ws.
  12. We were at the Gorge last summer for Dead and Co. and had a blast. Played music at a few different camps and saw a lot of good friends at the top of the campground Shakedown street. Love that venue. I thought it was last year I caught them at Autzen but the wife tells me it's been 2. Time flies. I too am grateful I can still gather with my tribe.⚡
  13. I still go when I can but I just don't travel much to shows anymore. We went to the Gorge in WA a couple times, I think the best was in 09 when all the boys were there and Warren took Jerry's place. The Doobies and the Allman Bros opened. Phil and Dylan did a tour together years ago and we saw shows from Seattle down to San Diego. That was a great trip and the music was really good. I definitely see them whatever form their in when they come to Oregon and I still enjoy the whole experience but it's obviously not the same without Jerry.
  14. Okay, I can understand that. I'm glad they are still playing too. I saw them last summer and thought Bobby was the problem with the music, he was dragging the tempo and looked like he was gonna fall over. I was glad I was there though and had fun seeing a lot of old friends. Not sure how my comment about Phil pivoted to John Mayer though.
  15. Phil was definitely not a good singer but I loved his songs. Unbroken Chain, Box of Rain, Pride of Cucamonga are all great songs imo. I was at the last show in Chicago when they finished with Phil singing Box of Rain, the last song they ever sang together.
  16. The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers! Older brother had all that stuff. Also had every National Lampoon since it started in 70 till about 75, Mr Natural and Fat Freddy's Cat. My mom tossed them all after I moved out west after college.
  17. I remember reading all the Danny Dunn books.☺
  18. That was an awesome day. It was great to be back in Buffalo and see the Dead with childhood friends. The 'Cold Rain and Snow' really made me smile. I just remember seeing the look of amazement on a couple of friends faces who had never been to a show.
  19. I drank a couple shots of whiskey with Warren outside the back door of the Warfield Theater in San Fran after an Allman Brothers show early 90s sometime, Annabelle Garcia was there too. Last time I saw him was onstage with the Dave Mathews Band at the Gorge Amphitheater in central Washington a few years ago. I got to see him and his band Govt Mule a bunch of times as well. Great player. Mickey was a pretty intense guy and seemed upset that people thought it was over. He grew up in Brooklyn and was in the Air Force in Europe for a few years. He was very accomplished at judo (became a black belt) and taught combative measures. He also played drums in the Airmen of Note, their elite big band. Another fun fact, both his parents were champion rudimentary drummers (marching band) so he started playing at a very young age. His father won the championship at the Worlds Fair in New York 1939 before he was born.
  20. When Jerry died they had a memorial at Golden Gate Park and when it was over I was waiting for my gal at the time at the car when Mickey Hart came walking up with one of his kids on his shoulders, he was parked right next to me. We were acquainted because I played Djembe in the GD Mardi Gras and New Year parades over the years with him and Wavy leading the way, in fact we had just played that afternoon in a procession circling the crowd. I said "Hey Mickey, I just want to say thanx for all the incredible shows and unforgettable times" or something like that. He got all intense and told me "It's not over man, it's Not over". I didn't say anything because I could tell he was pissed but I knew it was over.
  21. I have only seen the various incarnations a few times over the years since Jerry left. I was given tickets to The Dead last year with what's his face, John somebody I think, on guitar and it was bad. It was nice to see some folks I hadn't seen in a while but the music was not good imo. I saw Phil and his band at a fest in Portland Or. last summer and it was fantastic. Billy was showing up at the Oregon Country Fair for a few years in a row and playing late night shows with a guy named Papa Mali and that was fun. Without Jerry I definitely won't go out of my way. I saw Joe Russo not too long ago, great show. I can't remember what he is calling his band.
  22. I have seen them many times since Jerry passed, the last was about a year ago in Eugene. John is a very good guitarist indeed.
  23. I saw Dave Mason there in 81, had a friend in Westbury and drove down from college in Albany. I saw Hot Tuna there as well. That place is legendary.
  24. I remember a t-shirt on tour in the late 80s of Bob in his pink hotpants doing one of his weird tossing his hair moves with the caption: 'Be nice to Bobby' ?
