Speed: John Brown vs E Sanders
Turk71 replied to ProcessTruster's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sanders was a burner coming into the league. 4.39 to 4.41 4.34 for Brown at the combine Sanders 10 yd and 20 yd splits were faster than Browns. Don't know how much speed he's lost but he's still pretty quick and fast and is a better and more complete route runner than Brown. -
That wasn't targeting at all. Just because he hit him in the head full speed with his helmet knocking him unconscious doesn't make it targeting. Clean play and a fumble, move that unconscious kid out of the way.😳

Hilarious! Now do Sweeney Sorry, just being a wise guy. Cheers🍻
-
He's better than Knox and Sweeney when it comes to routes and catching the ball. Two seasons: Knox 14 drops 94 targets 52 rec Hollister 3 drops 99 targets 66 rec Sweeney is a blocker and short field safety valve, too slow to get open downfield without a blown coverage. It is what it is. This team is stacked at wr and Allen looks ready to attack. Hollister as a rather weak blocker was not what they were looking for. I think he will have more opportunity and production in Jacksonville so that's good for him. No matter, it's in the rearview mirror and the Bills are ready to kickoff the season. This is gonna be good. You should be a GM, you seem to know everything.

He's gonna be on the field playing in Jacksonville. Did people really think he would be on a PS?
-
I just turned on the game. Minnesota ball. A penalty, 2 runs up the middle into an extremely stacked line and a timeout because the play clock. Then a run for 3 yards after the wasted timeout. Who designed this offense?😁
-
1. Sweeney is not even in the same league as Hollister as a pass catcher. 2. Gilliam is 6' tall and has caught a total of 2 passes in his career. 3. Kumerow weighs 209 lbs, he's not a te or a replacement for one. He's a wr. 4. This has no bearing on which tes they keep.
-
Hollister started for the Seahawks weeks 7-17 in 2019 and was 12th in the league among tes in fantasy points for that period, he averaged 6 targets per game catching 70% of them.

Thanks for the tip, I'm signed up. -
Don't forget his blue collar

I don't think Hollister will end up on a practice squad, I think he ends up on a teams 53. We 'll see.
-
Sweeneys ceiling is a backup tight end. The guy is slow as molasses (4.83) and is not especially good at blocking for his size. Where is this whole lot higher upside gonna come from? Hollister had the 4th highest depth of target of tes in his class and can attack a defense at all 3 levels.
-
One of the worst te groups in the league for sure. I do think the Bills will play a lot 4 wide formations and I guess having a decent pass catching te is just not considered important in their offense.
-
That's why he only got a 2nd round grade, he was pretty bad.🤔
-
Bleacher Report gave him a 2nd round grade and said his pro comparison was Cordy Glenn ☺ https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2769322-tyrell-crosby-nfl-draft-2018-scouting-report-for-detroit-lions-pick

Guys get cut for lots of reasons. He's not fully back from a hamstring injury and has 2.6 mil cap hit for the Lions this year. They need a swing tackle now. He was their 6th lineman last year and played well. He 'll get a shot somewhere. Probably not by the Bills; it's puzzling they added a game and didn't expand rosters at all, especially with the pandemic still going on.
-
I just read that he is coming back from a hamstring injury. He did well as their swing tackle last year and was expected to do it again. Was projected as high as 2nd or 3rd round coming out of college.
-
They may be better some day but right now Doyle is not ready to play imo and Brown has never played a snap in the NFL. The Bills are one tackle injury away from finding out if he's ready. This guy has starting experience and played pretty well according to PFF. I saw him play in college at Oregon many times in person and many more on tv. I wanted the Bills to draft him that year. Had completely forgotten about him until this thread. I hope they are taking a look because injuries happen on the line. If Doyle and Brown end up on the field together that's not good. Crosby may not b the guy but I hope they get some exp backup at tackle.
-
The Bills have one of the worst te groups in the league. Bummer Hoping they have trade in the works. 6 des and 5 dts seems like a lot of d linemen on the 53.

I like being able to make survivor picks for the whole season and then changing them as I need to. I was 11 weeks in last year and forgot to pick, actually I thought I had made the pick for some reason.

I used my TBD handle. Are others hiding behind a 2nd pseudonym? A pseudo pseudonym I don't like it. I feel like it defeats the purpose of making this a TBD group contest. Bragging rights!☺

Alphas Final Roster Stab (after PS game 3)
Turk71 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At first glance the depth at CB and OT is concerning. I don't think Brown or especially Doyle are ready for prime time at all. I remember thinking when they picked the 2nd tackle project of their draft: 2 project tackles, how will they be able to keep them both if they're not ready to play? I'm thinking Doyle could head to the PS and the Bills could pick up another backup tackle. I'm also hoping the Bills can pick up decent CB help through a trade. I was surprised they did nothing this off-season in that regard. -
Bills, Steelers week 1 temperature check
Turk71 replied to QBorBust2018's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I envision Ben running for his life and taking a beating all game. After the game, he retires. I'm not sure if that's a temperature check. That's all I got. -
Buffalo Bills could be among least covid-19 vaccinated teams
Turk71 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was just reading that Bruce Arians has his own protocols when the team is on the road, for both vaxxed and unvaxxed. They are much tighter than any league rules and the team is bought in. He tells them it takes sacrifices to win championships. They are focused on a mission and are committed. -

Vaxed or unvaxed, it really doesn't matter where the positive test comes from. If an unvaxed player was in close contact he quarantines for a mandatory 5 days. The way things stand now it seems very likely to me that some unvaxed players will miss games this way. Who they are and when it happens is the ?
