Chiefs trade Alex Smith to washington

The team that seems to be a qb away from a Super Bowl is Jax imo. No idea if they are interested or have the cap but I think they have the rest of the parts. -

Slow down, you just traded the qb that led the league in passing efficiency. A veteran who is playing the best football of his career, and will now start a qb who has one start in a meaningless game and posted 0tds, 1 int. and a 76. qb rating. A lot of hype, but put your Super Bowl plans on hold. He hasnt proven anything yet. -

Bills have a lot of dead cap, releasing Taylor will add some cap space and also add more to the dead cap. Do they have enough space to pay Cousins the huge salary he will require? I don't think so and don't think he is worth it either. Hoping the Bills drop Taylor, draft a qb and bring in a lesser priced veteran to mentor and fill the gap. Keep plugging holes and building the team for the present and future. This team is more than just one piece away imo. -
Potential replacements for Eric Wood
Turk71 replied to The Now Moment's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It has to be Groy and I hope he is ready for the part. If he can perform at a high level Woods retirement won t hurt the team so much as Groy is already under contract and is paid too much to sit the bench. As much as I and most everyone else appreciates Wood's tenure as a Bill, the extension and 10 million cap hit for a guy over 30 whose performance was already declining was ill advised. The Bills dead cap hit this year is ridiculous and the result of many ill advised contracts and extensions. Unfortunately this cap situation is gonna severely limit their options for this season. -
Your favorite college team: Draft/Don’t draft

Met my wife 21 yrs ago at U of Oregon where she ran track and we still live in Eugene part of the year. It has been a couple of down years for the football team but I think Royce Freeman and Tyrell Crosby will both have good NFL careers. Freeman would be a great complement to Shady imo. -
Bills need to trade up into the top 5
Turk71 replied to Klaista2k's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think there is a can't miss qb prospect this year, they are all flawed. Allen played for Wyoming and completed 56% of passes for the last two years, yet teams will mortgage their future because of his prototypical size and potential. Some people seem completely clueless about what it would cost to move into the top 5, and which guy is the absolute lock? As for that chart of Super bowl qbs, 26 out of 40 were drafted outside the top 10, including 13 of the 20 winners. Even if Brady had lost every SB it would be 11 out of 20 and it would be 3 udfa winners. -
Tom Brady ... would he be a good coach?
Turk71 replied to notwoz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Narcissist' make terrible coaches I've heard. You need to give a **** about other people and bring people together. Living vicariously through 'your' team keeps you going. You will live in infamy because of the greatness of 'your' team. Sad aspect of fandom. You are a great fan because your team wins. How do you find room for all your trophys you sad pathetic troll. -

The only two playoff games in history a team was only called for 1 penalty are both Patriot wins in their recent run. Last 5 games Pats 13 pen 110 yds Opp 35 pen 390 yds. Their noncatches are ruled catches to win games catches for Opp are ruled noncatches. Textbook blatant holding on the edge defender on the game clinching 1st down. There is no doubt the Patriots are really good but the fact they are given favorable treatment has been noticed and acknowledged beyond Patriot haters, to the point that announcers and pundits are commenting. I was not too emotionally invested in this game, but fair play is vital to integrity and I think that is being lost. -
Super Bowl XXXIX Rematch: Do the Eagles Stand a Chance?
Turk71 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Their pass rush gives them a chance. Patriots d not too scary and if Eagles harass Brady and win turnovers.....they got a shot.
