Looking forward to these trades becoming official, Glenn passes physical and Cleveland files the paperwork.

I used to work on the east side. I hope that's not where we're movin

Got him with a 41 pick, had him through a rookie contract plus a couple years trade him for a 51 pick when his health is becoming a ? and his cap hit would be 13 million next year. That is pretty good value. Getting good production from guys on rookie contracts is key to managing the cap and stud linemen can contribute right away usually. Draft a tackle in first two rounds and get younger.
-
The return works out to the value of pick 51. More than I would have expected, how much cap do they gain? Someone mentioned 4.8 mil, is that right? Wasn't there a roster bonus they don't have to pay?
-
I agree. Having the 12th pick in the draft now is pretty incredible. I think they were going to address the offensive line anyway and I think they regard Dawkins as a left tackle.
-
Dawkins will keep him company.

I think everyone understands there is no chance he is coming here. Highly doubt he goes anywhere, he might be taking offers as leverage but would be shocked if he moved.
-
Okay, misunderstood you. Barkley is probably one of the surest things in the draft, just reread your post and saw you were talking about Cleveland. Sorry bout that.

Who is? Rosen? I don't see him as a sure thing at all. He needs to hit the weight room. Two concussions last year is a concern. I live in Eugene and have seen him play a lot, once in person. He looks the part, but I have never been too impressed with him as a football player. I think he lacks heart and the will to be the best. He might just get paid and cruise through an average career. Then again it is all conjecture at this point, which makes trading up all the more risky. If they do choose to spend a ton of capital moving up, I sure hope they get it right. Getting it wrong could set the team back a few years. After waiting so long for the playoffs, I do not look forward to losing a bunch while waiting and hoping they finally have a qb. I realize the qb is the most important but this team needs other major parts as well. A lot of people seem obsessed with having to draft and develop a qb. SF got one ready made, drafted and developed by another team. My point is the goal is to get a good qb, doesn't matter how you do it. Ideally for me, the Bills get a qb who can play and win now while drafting qbs til you find the next good one.

You're the GM, what do you offer Kyle Williams
Turk71 replied to elltrain22's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are some young proven talents in fa, Daquan Jones from Titans for instance will probably get 4-6 per year. Stuffs the run and pressures the QB, athletic and versatile, has played nose and end in 3-4 and one tech in 4-3. -

Bring in a young guy and offer Kyle 3- 4 mil guaranteed to be mentor and rotational DT. He will be 35 when the season starts and a rotational role would probably suit him best, he has made over 50 million dollars and probably doesn't want to move at this point. I would like to see him retire a Bill but if he wants to chase more money elsewhere the Bills cannot afford to overpay and need to bring in young talent on the line. -
Who will the Bills target at the start of Free Agency?

Norwell is going to get paid it would seem, Cards and Giants are both candidates. -

Daquan Jones one tech DT. Can stuff the run and pressure the QB. -
This topic definitely belongs in 'Off the Wall'.

Philly deadline to get under the cap: Nick Foles

There are a lot of possibilities, one of them is maybe Rudolph is the guy they want and the Bills won't have to use any xtra picks to get him. -

After the broken collarbone and the horrible stint with the horrible Rams his stock took a big hit. I would think that his stock is on the rise now and someone will give him a shot as starter. With his size and pocket passing style, he could play well into his 30's if he chose. -
Philly deadline to get under the cap: Nick Foles
Turk71 replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have no idea if Philly will trade Foles. They have only 15 million invested between Foles and Wentz this year and to be honest I would probably keep him for insurance if I was them. We know they have to get under the cap but I am not familiar enough with them to know what their options might be. That said, I think it is completely ridiculous for people to say that Foles has always been mediocre before his magical playoff run, as if it is just some fluke. His 2013 passer rating was the 3rd highest in NFL history going back to at least 1941. Aaron Rodgers 2011 and Peyton Manning 2004 are the only ones higher. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/pass_rating_single_season.htm. He also had the highest TD to Int. ratio ever recorded. The next year he broke his collarbone and got shipped off to Fishers Rams and since has been a backup to Smith in KC and Wentz in Philly. At 6'6" 245 lbs he is a prototypical pocket passer, he flashed brilliance in his 2nd season, got kicked around the league then when he got another chance he flashed brilliance again in an epic playoff run culminating in a Super Bowl win and MVP over Tom Brady and the hated Patriots. So he may not be available but get the !@#$ out of here with this he sucks bull ****. We wish we had a qb who sucked like that. -

He is saying the Eagles were willing, not the Bills. Tre is not going anywhere. -

2014 I think he broke his collarbone, or somebody probably did it for him. Think he struggled coming back from it too. -

Rosen has a slight build and suffered 2 concussions last year. I think he needs to get stronger and accustomed to the speed of the NFL.
