  1. I love Alpine Valley, saw the Dead there many times in the 80s, so much fun and memorable times. Hard to believe it was so long ago.⚡
  2. If those guys both play well the defense could be really good. I assume spell check changed Davis to David.?
  3. Vontae Davis or Trent Murphy. If it is a player who was a Bill last year I pick Benjamin.
  4. Is the OP saying Shaw66 is Billy Shaw? If it is Billy Shaw and he doesn't want people to know, he would pick a different user name. I think the OP is full of it, what a weird post and thread.
  5. I think Curry grabbed his arm so his head wouldn't hit the ground, James uses his off arm all the time to get seperation.
  6. Durant with an epic finals performance, wow, that was impressive. MVP like if/when they win it.
  7. Just smart enough to stay away from mentally unstable, roid raging, sociopathic aholes. To each their own, hope you and Richie have a good time if you ever meet.
  8. How do you know 'it would be cool'? Might be the worst day of your life. I for one would walk the other way if I ever saw him. I hope his mental state improves but I think he has been an A1 !@#$ his entire life.
  9. Whether it is this year or next I think the JG trade fractured the Kraft BB Brady triumvirate and I think it will fester and the divide will widen as Brady inevitably declines. I hope it is this year, with their backup qb situation, any loss of time by Brady and they are avg at best. I would prefer to see Brady's play decline and the Bills beat them with him playing, but either scenario would make me happy. It may take another year for the Bills to be ready but I feel things are shifting and the Pats run is ending soon.
  10. 1300 yds led the league last year so over 1000 is still a very good year. I am not sure what numbers would get him in but a couple more 1000 yard seasons would have to put him in strong consideration. McCoy contributes more in the passing game than most rbs as well.
  11. R.I.P. My brothers and I loved playing Pong and then Breakout, which Atari had pre Apple Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs create for them.
  12. True words, lost a very close friend 3 days ago in a car accident. His was the only car involved, no alcohol or drugs, they think he had a heart attack behind the wheel. Have to go to the coast to see his wife and kids tomorrow. That is when it will really hit home, very shocking. Love and appreciate those you love while you can.
  13. The people I knew were aware of the risk when they bought. The empathy remark was joking, I am not expecting you to feel bad.?
  14. What was your score on the empathy test? ? The land was really cheap years ago and I know a few folks who bought some to have an affordable spot on the island. The folks I knew were just there part time and stayed in trailers, rvs, buses, etc. I have not stayed in touch to know what their situation is now. The Three Sisters mtns in central Or. are active volcanoes right near the city of Bend which has grown immensely in the last 30 years, they could go off tomorrow or not for hundreds of years. That is not gonna stop people from living in Bend. Look at the city of New Orleans located below sea level, I get nervous spending a couple nights camping on the coast in the tsunami zone, I couldn't imagine living in a hurricane zone below sea level.
  15. He is not there yet imo. A couple more good years and he should be.
  16. I wonder how high that is? I think the high platform at Sherkston quarry was around 60 ft, is it still there? We used to dive off of it and my friend would do 1and a half's. We used to dive out of the grain elevators at the foot of Tifft street, I think that was around 60 ft as well. To get up there you had to climb four flights of stairs along the railings because the stairs had all been removed, if you fell through the middle you would fall all 4 stories. Unbelievably reckless and dumb looking back at it.
  17. That's too bad, been to over 300 Dead shows and can't remember any that were cut short. I remember 2 shows where people were hit by lightning and was in Noblesville when they cancelled the 2nd Deer Creek show, but the only show I remember being cut short was Steve Miller at Park West Utah when a huge lightning rainstorm suddenly came over the mountain and everybody fled.
  18. Wife and I went to the Eugene Super regional, had a great time. It was great to see talented players playing for the love of the game and their team, reaffirmed why we both play, love, and support sports. Oregon is playing now on Espn in Ok City. Go Ducks!
  19. My wife and I will be at the Gorge, Autzen, and Shoreline, the Gorge is my favorite venue as well (Red Rocks is #2). We will also be at the Gorge for Phish and DMB this summer. I saw the Dead with Jerry at Autzen 12 times in the 80s and 90s. Going to see Jethro Tull in Troutdale and Bend next weekend, concert season is here! Buffalo 77 was where it all began.⚡
  20. I respect that, I umpired a kids baseball game once and will never do that again.
  21. I saw that, I don't usually watch NBA because of the refs a how arbitrarily they can apply the rules. The easiest sport to fix imo.
  22. I thought James moved sideways when KD jumped. Good call. The refs have missed obvious fouls on both sides imo.
  23. Weird, The Grateful Dead sold that place out regularly. Warriors give up a lot of rebounds.
