I forgot to mention there is a documentary on Amazon Prime about Jack Herer's life, 'Emperor of Hemp'. -
Huge high-tech cannabis plant planned for Buffalo
Turk71 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in Off the Wall Archives
A lot of people don't realize that hemp produces more oil, protein, and fiber per acre than any other plant. The oil and protein are extremely high quality nutrition. Hemp is also a nitrogen fixing plant perfect for replenishing soil in crop rotation. The fiber is perfect for paper and fiberboard manufacturing. Jack Herer from Buffalo wrote a book , 'The Emperor Wears No Clothes', detailing the history of hemp production in this country and the incredible benefits of the plant. Jack was a great guy I knew and spent a lot of time with in the 80s and early 90s on Dead tour and later in Eugene Or. until his death in 2010. His courageous work and other folks in the movement have directly contributed to the current wave of legalization. My friends Bill Conde and Soma had to leave the country late 90s to avoid imprisonment by the FBI, Bill owns a hostel and lives in Belize with his wife, Soma is very successful and well known in Amsterdam where he owns Soma's seeds and judges the Cannabis Cup. -
Top 50 players that are fits for Buffalo Bills..NewYorkUpstate.com

I didn't see CJ Anderson on that list. I am pretty sure he is a fa. He looked really good running the ball this year. -
Just How Bad Was Buffalo's Run Game Aside from Josh Allen?
Turk71 replied to thebandit27's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McCoy was ranked 46th out of 47 rbs running the ball, and 52nd out of 53 rbs as a receiver. He was not even a good receiver. The line sucked but McCoy was terrible as well. The fact that he was the highest paid rb in the league makes those rankings even worse.https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/rb. Even if the Bills can afford to pay him 9 mil next year they need better rbs. -
Divisional round, Eagles at Saints, 4:40 pm on FOX
Turk71 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think every team left could beat the Pats. Patriots are 3-5 on the road this year. -
My shoes are under 2 ft of mud in front of the stage at Yasgur's farm. Was there in 94 for the 25th anniversary, Joe Walsh was tossing me Iron City beers from the stage. He played for hours in the pouring rain and kept saying "this is just like it was". I stood there, feet sunk in the cowshit laughing my ass off and calling out for more beer which he gladly gave.

Huge high-tech cannabis plant planned for Buffalo
Turk71 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in Off the Wall Archives
They are practically giving it away out here. A good friend of mine owns a 40 acre organic farm and has license to grow an acre of high grade legally every year. Over 2000 pounds. People are allowed to grow 4 plants in their yard without any license. $50 an ounce in the stores. -
Trade down if possible for another 2nd rnd pick. Focus on oline and wr first.

Your opinion how the Bills will add to the Roster? (edited)
Turk71 replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills have a lot of money to spend and if they let Clay and McCoy walk they will have even more. I expect them to be very active in free agency this year. They have to get O line wr rb and te help. The offense needs so much to help Allen take the next step. There are some really good young dline fas available as well. -
NFC Divisional playoff: Cowboys at Rams 8:15pm Fox

If the refs hadn't completely blown that in the grasp call this would be a 5 point game right now. Plenty of time left. -

Highest paid rb in the league this year, lowest ypc on his team. Line wasn't good but neither was Shady. -

wtf was that? -
A lot of good young dts and des in fa this year, not so many on ol wr or rb. Bills need to give Allen an offensive line and weapons more than anything else and it should absolutely be the #1 focus in the off-season.

Shady throwing shade at Bills O lineman
Turk71 replied to Don't stop billievein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't expect Shady to be in Buffalo next year, his cap hit is over 9 mil with only 2.6 mil in dead cap to let him go. 6.5 million in additional salary cap to go shopping, the Bills would be stupid to keep him imo. -
The highest paid rb in the league this year. The lowest rated rb in the league this year. I don't know if any team would have taken on that contract. Need a young stud rb on rookie contract. Clay needs to go as well. McCoy has had a very good career but no way is he a lock for the HOF imo. I would be surprised if he gets in at all.

LeSean McCoy hamstring injury - OUT vs Lions
Turk71 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Paying McCoy as the league's best rb and then paying the Bills on top of that would seem like a tough sell at this point in his career to me, but I am obviously no expert. -
LeSean McCoy hamstring injury - OUT vs Lions
Turk71 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It already was a need for next year. Shady and that 9 mil cap hit will be gone resulting in 2.5 mil dead cap and 6.5 cap savings. Exactly. Going into this year with that o line, no wrs, a rookie QB, this is pretty much what I expected. Paying McCoy 9 mil, highest of any rb in the league, was completely pointless this year but they probably couldn t have traded that contract if they had wanted to. -
That probably factors into it, trading him with his top rb in the league contract may have been difficult as well. Another big contract and unnecessary extension/restructure that the Bills need to move on from. I hope they decide to get younger at the position. McCoy can still play but not at that salary.
-
The 2019 dead cap hit of 4.5 mil is half of his 9 million 2019 cap hit so cutting him saves 4.5 million in cap space. Not close to being the same, a 9 million cap hit for his pathetic production is just absurd. Never really understood the big lengthy contract in the first place.
-
The fact that Mccoy is the highest paid rb in the league this year is laughable. The Bills need young talent at the position and cannot afford to allocate 9 mil cap space to McCoy again next year imo. Cutting him saves 6.5 mil cap with a 2.5 dead hit. If he was willing to take a pay cut they could keep him, I am quite sure that no other team will pay him 9 million.

I don't think the Bills have even one receiver worthy of starting in the NFL. They also have one of the worst offensive lines in the league. Add that together with the fact that Allen is a rookie who was known to need development ...........Expecting him to thrive in those conditions is unrealistic, get a decent line and a couple good wrs and see how he does next season.

Give Barkley the start next week?

It's all about gaining experience and learning for the rest of the season. I would be perfectly fine if they don' t win another game. -
NFL OT rules are an effing, effing joke
Turk71 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Would it be fair if they flipped a coin before the hockey shootout and then the first goal wins? Would you say if you don't like it then stop them from scoring? The alternating possessions of college OT is far more evenly matched and fair imo. Battling to a tie after 60 minutes and then handing an advantage to one team on the basis of a coin flip is just ridiculous.
