I'm on pins and needles here about the QB position. Did they let Tyrod go having a plan in place or did the Browns offer them more than they'd be able to get and they jumped on it? If the later is the case, we are rolling the dice on a FA QB or drafting one. Scary but refreshing at the same time.

TLDR

This staff is too smart to not have a plan for both. Have to think they have a FA or trade QB right now that's an upgrade from Taylor to trade him. Draft your QB of the future.

I think it is more likely we have a deal in place for a FA QB then a move up in the draft at this time. I hope it's Foles TBH. I'll take the guy who carved up the Pats over all these other guys.

After last FA period I'm inclined to trust this staff. I'll support the process for the time being, gotten only results so far.

If you think Rosen or Darnold are franchise QBs, for gods sake go get them. Im so sick of thinking people will develop or has all the tools or blah blah blah. Go get Rosen if you can. Trade the 1s, this year and a 1 next year and Glenn. Whatever it takes. Idc. What would I trade for Weitz? Everything.

I think The Bills are just interviewing everyone so no one knows what they are doing and they are covering all the bases for selecting a QB in the draft which is unpredictable. No no one knows how the draft will go, so doing your homework on everyone means your prepared for any scenario.

Polian is a sharp guy and it was a good interview. I hate he got blasted by SJWs about Jackson but handled it well. It's his thoughts in his ability to play the pro game. One guys opinion that's it. Felt like they killed him for it. He's a hall of farmer and in his 70s, pump the breaks America. He also mentioned how the coach has a feel for his team by citing Belicheck going for it on 4th down because he knew his pass rushers were gassed. Analytics can't do that, that human element is unique to sports coaching that I feel a lot of people miss. Coaching is integral and knowing your team is paramount.

I like the bravado but I doubt Darnold is there at 4. I think Darnold and Rosen go 1 and 2 to the highest bidder at 2. JMO

Well said, I think that was the plan or process and we were just a better team than expected. Not taking a QB last year was all about the current GM picking the heir apparent in a rumored better QB draft. Jury was out on Watson and Mahomes. Both look promising now, just shows you the crap shoot the draft really is.

I can't remember the last time we ended a season with a promising rookie going into the next season. EJ never had that feel, more like he needs to improve. I'd like to go into the next season knowing we have the promise and potential at QB for the next 10 years and let's build around them.

I think Beane is being a good GM and doing his diligence in everyone. That being said, stop comparing people to Watson who, might I remind you, played all of what, 6 games? I think Watson has a bright future and is ahead of Jackson but I think the sample size is too small to say Watson has made it yet. Promising, yes.

Spoiler alert. ESPN has no idea what the bills will do. Tyrod is long **** to stay with the team?
