If Shady is dealt we can pretty much bank on at best a .500 season. I love Shady, loved that trade and watching him is like watching fine art being created in front of your eyes. Stroke to juke, it's a beautiful thing. However, at 29 and with the Bills having no established franchise passer I don't think the Bills would be in the position to pass up a reasonable trade, especially considering how well J.Will has looked in this offense through preseason. Would it suck, oh yeah. But it could potentially set us up for the best draft and accumulation of young talent the Bills have had in a long time. Totally torn on this. I wanna see the Bills be competitive but an average season is only gonna keep us from getting to the playoffs next year. This year the likelihood is seemingly near impossible for a playoff birth, as a realist I'll admit that. How should I feel? What a wild off-season.

I'd rather have DeDe Westbrook, I think his potential is the reason for Hurns being in he block. I'd take Hurns though..

I am not at all unhappy with the Boldin pick up as at the very least he will give Zay and some young dudes guidance... but I am watching Bruce Ellington rip it up, big time. I wanted this dude when he cleared his physical and then failed his next one for... (name that team). Either way, hope Streater gets back because we need a field stretching WR badly and idk if Zay's 40 time translates to game speed. Ellington would've been low risk/high reward. Really hope McD doesn't make this team a collective of lunch pail guys because talent trumps in the NFL.

If he is clean than the substance abuse isn't an issue or he's overcome that. Isnt it likely that this substance abuse was the reason behind the laziness and lack of commitment. With that in the rear view and the last opportunity to redeem himself, I'd say that could be fuel to play with a chip on his shoulder and reclaim the crown he held.
