  1. It's unreal.. at this point if we ever win the Super Bowl I expect a thread on how the confetti wasn't made out of recycled material. Whiners gonna whine YO!... LO
  2. Here's my issue. There's no doubt Whaley has flaws as a GM. However, he found Gilly, Z.Brown, Lorax and a number of other players people here considered to be warm bodies. Then they break out and people get upset when we can't keep them. We CAN keep Gilly and if we do great! If we don't we will find another player who will likely provide the same safety net and production. Did it when karlos ate his way out of the league and I'm sure there are a number of other examples. Jordan Freakin Howard was a 5th round pick last year. This is a talented RB class. I'd rather spend the 5th trying to find our successor to McCoy... Mike Gilleslee is not that. Calculated Risks, IMO this is a good one to take.
  3. Let me get this straight. You're quitting your Bills fanhood over a back up RB? 8 days before the draft? Well if that's the case I don't wanna see you posting Willy nilly around here until you come to your senses. You need a timeout.
  4. I'd say he's more of a 5th rounder, dime a dozen troll.
  5. Not to mention Shady will break down eventually and Gilly is not the prototype workhorse we'd need to depend on. It's a good move on whaleys part and getting a 5th for a guy we grabbed off the scrap pile makes it even better.
  6. There will be decent RBs available in the 5th round. We got Karlos 2 yrs ago. Other teams have done it too. More recently the beast known as Jordan Howard, 2nd only to Zeke last year in yards and pretty much the entire offense for Chicago.... was taken (drumroll please) in the 5th round!!!! Take a chill pill ya'll. Getting batty around here.
  7. Mmmm that's too logical. Please stop talking sense around here.
  8. It's almost ultimate frisbee season.. European handball could be interesting too. Maybe I'll even sink to the low of watching golf. We're obviously out of our element in NFL fandom.
  9. Gilly was a very good back up, no doubt. But this is a stacked draft for RBs, we grabbed Jonathan Williams last year and there are still plenty of RB's available in FA. Take the 5th rounder, The Pats are just F***ing with us. They really want to have a 4 RB rotation (Burkhead, Lewis, White, Gilly, let them have it. I'm not gonna cry about it.
  10. He is big for our defense. Versatility at its best..
  11. Oooooh, snap.. looks like you got him by his Cahomes.
  12. Exactly man, what good would it do for him? Nada.. now if he was signed and we had the same OC, then it's a possibility. 17 years out the playoffs has this fan base paranoid. The realization that we are in this position because we haven't been good enough is a tough pill to swallow for some.
  13. With the FA RB market starting with AP, Blount has to know he is not going to get PAID by another team. Settle for SB rings, lots of other guys would do the same. Even AP said he'd consider it. You're right YOLO, he's going nowhere.
  14. The Pats have James White, Dion Lewis and Rex Burkhead... This seems like, imo a pressure play to get Blount to sign. I like Gilly but if he leaves it won't keep me up at night. There are a decent number of quality college rbs in this draft. As others have pointed out, Mike went in the 5th.
  15. I've rationalized rooting for the Giants. 1. It's my Wife's team 2. They've made the Patriots look stupid twice in recent years, ruining the perfect season was amazing and David Tyree played ball where I'm from.
  16. Didn't get enough laughs the last time you said that joke huh? Starburst, please Starburst...The ability on this kid is mouth watering.
  17. Love the attitude but I prefer the kind of person that doesn't need the bluster of confidence building vocab and instead keeps their mouth shut, letting the play on the field show the true intentions of a warrior. 14 out of 16 years as Division Champs.. ouch. Cannot wait until the tide turns. I'm hoping McD goes in there silent and smacks the taste outta the patty cakes. Side note, in High School I had a crazy intense lacrosse coach who made my college lacrosse practices look like playtime. We traveled from Baldwinsville to Canandaigua in heavy rain to play their lax team who were #4 in the state of NY at the time. These world beaters didn't take us seriously which only further fueled my coaches insane rage. We ended up beating the tar out of them, so badly they scored on themselves at one point. After the game we were supposed to mingle with them and eat some hotdogs they had prepared. My coach immediately told us to two it up (get in two straight lines) in the huddle and run back to the bus without saying a word. Not even taking our helmets off. He told us "We don't need their damn hotdogs". I love that memory because it's similar to the example of scoring a TD and acting like you've been there before. When we beat the Pats I hope we temper our excitement and at that point it is just business as usual. Helmets on, and quietly walk off the field. Lord knows it'll prolly end up being a stadium wide mob jumping rows of seating to get to the field to celebrate.
  18. Lots of wrist ouchies coming out in the media today.
  19. Isn't Adolphus Washington supposed to be that replacement? Yuck, man I'm tired of these mocks. Can't wait for this draft to happen already.
  20. I would without a doubt take him with our final pick of this years draft. I highly doubt he WANTS to come here with the huge shadow of Jim looming over him, but idc what this kid wants. He will have more freedom to choose where he goes as an udfa, so if we want him we've got to spend a pick. If he has to sit out, good! That'll mean he is able to slowly learn what it's like to be an NFL QB and maybe even be humbled through the experience. His maturity being in question makes this an ideal circumstance to avoid further digging of his own grave. He's a late bloomer into adulthood, I hope we are the ones who are able to provide the guidance to turn him into a Man. IF and that's a big IF, he is able to turn it around for another team.. they essentially just found a potential Franchise QB (rare these days) without spending a top pick. For once I'd like to be that lucky as a team.
  21. Shouldn't you be creeping round the Mahomes thread? Spend too much time here and your dream might die. J/k, Jus Joshin ya Jeff...
