  1. That's relatively good news for Daryl, torn MCLs don't take nearly as long to recover as ACLs or LCLs. MCL tear and dislocation won't require surgery.
  2. Well, he met with us and that team coached by Hue Jackson. Enough said.
  3. Reports right now are that it's just a calf strain. We'll see how the big guy holds up in the TB heat...
  4. "How are you typing so much with all that butter on your fingers" ?
  5. Good to see lots of positivity on Star so far - seems like he has an element of explosion for a guy labeled as a space eater. I want to be proven wrong for how much of an overpay I thought this was since I had nothing to base it off of besides a few PFF ranks and media hot takes.
  6. Sean Lee vs Dez Bryant Mr. Glass vs Mr. Glass Ego
  7. Goff still has 3 years of a rookie deal left, so worrying about their cap space right now - for him, not Donald - is irrelevant. Who knows if they're going to want to keep Peters, but hey, he's on a dirt cheap one year deal right now. Suh is relatively underpaid for the appeal of joining these paper tigers, and there was a rumor out there Donald was okay with getting his extension put off for the sake of having Suh as his teammate. Gurley definitely deserves every last penny in this deal. It'll just be interesting to see how exactly this will reset the market. I wasn't a fan of the Brandin Cooks deal, though, since he's already had 2 HOF QB's throw to him and both teams didn't really miss a beat by shipping him off.
  8. Great article, and even better discussion on the last several pages. I agree with lots of these and am too young to have any insight on some others, but I do think the rankings need a little bit of shuffling/categorizing Anderson, Knox, McKenzie, and (later) Phillips may very well have wanted to stay here and right the ship if it weren't for Ralph being himself, so it could be tough to rank. There could be a serious case to put Marrone at 1, even though him leaving was best for his career since he'd be tied at the hip to Whaley and his picks. For personal preference, I'd bump Anquan Boldin up further on the list because last preseason was a huge kick in the nuts. And for reasons previously stated, Jimbo should either be lower on the list or - bias alert - eliminated altogether. A case could be made to put Dareus on this list, too. He publicly cried about how we viewed him as a "dime a dozen" and how they don't want him here as badly as he or the fans want him in Buffalo - only to be rewarded $100M shortly afterwards. Whaley was delusional enough to say that he deserved this because he showed "maturity." Subpar stats, sailor suits and hats, and yet another suspension made it seem otherwise. Sean and Leslie very likely gave him a clean slate, but we all know how that turned out. And now he's having allegations for getting with an unconscious woman? Not our problem anymore
  9. "Student of the game" - no **** you'd better be watching film and studying it with the money you make He's good "in space" - Oh, really? I thought players would be better off stuck in traffic
  10. Source? Dude signed a 1 day contract with us just months ago and is playing in the flag football league...#endthread
  11. I'm not sure who we were competing with to give him $10M annually though. Then again, I did feel the same way about giving some guy named Jordan Poyer over $3M yearly, too. As for how I feel about the contract, we won't be able to determine if the value matches up with Star's stats or metrics alone, but how the defense will perform as a whole. If he really is a guy that eats double teams and helps Kyle, Jerry, and Trent out as our collective defensive ranking improves, of course it'll be worth it. I f that's not the case this will be the first major blemish of Beane's tenure. The downwards trajectory PFF has given him is very concerning, and Carolina definitely opted to pay a much better player in Kawaan Short - yet another concern is why Star seemed to play so badly recently with Short alongside him.
  12. Haha damnit, you didn't need to remind me of the bumblebee turds.
  13. Ignoring the result of the game, I liked the 2009 AFL uniforms both teams would wear when facing each other - Bills whites throwbacks versus Pat the Patriot looked great and I wouldn't mind seeing it again with a much different result. The TN Oilers and Navy Jets were pretty sharp too.
  14. Not defending it, but in retrospect, Lockette was open but Wilson just badly missed him. Ugh...it drives me mad that that's what led to another ring on Brady's finger. The LAMB - or whatever animal people call him these days - would be 3-3 in the big game at that point.
  15. Oddly enough the URL has clickbait contrary to what is being said... On topic, sad to see this happen so suddenly to both him and Cliff Avril. The LOB will go down as one of the game's greatest secondaries in their heyday. Who knows what could have been for Seattle if they ran the damn ball and didn't have so much turmoil within the locker room after that play.
  16. If he doesn't get a starting job, the only logical conclusion is that he slept with McD's wife. This feels like Urbik/Pears deja vu.
  17. It's as if one of these teams has a championship and one doesn't.
  18. Starting out 0-4 to go 9-7 was impressive. Unlike previous years, Rivers seems to have a solid coaching staff with Lynn and Gus Bradley. They have premier players on both sides of the ball: I view Rivers, Bosa, and Heyward as among the best players in the league at their position. Gordon and Allen can dazzle any given week. Bosa and Ingram may very well be the best DE duo in football. Sure, any team could be portrayed as a paper tiger, but I'm a big believer in them. As for how they'll fare inter-divisionally, it's anyone's guess since the AFCW is one of the most competitive divisions in football every given year. Denver - awful coaching staff, let's see if decent QB play can mask their issues - it'll be tough without a threatening run game Oakland - will GM/HC Gruden actually pay off? Who knows. Cutting Crabtree for Jordy, trading a 3rd for a FA-to-be Bryant, and giving up something for Hackenberg? Lol. I'll stay skepticial. KC - probably the division favorite, but Mahomes is still a mystery, albeit one that's likely to succeed I like their chances of being above 500 within the division and being a top WC contender at the very least
  19. Chargers very well were in super bowl contention this year, and they still could be - but it goes without saying how big of a loss this is
  20. 2-2 at best depending on how the first two games go I don't see us hanging with either of the NFCN SB contenders. Heck, if the game gets out of hand enough, Allen may come in for mop-up duty to create some controversy.
  21. For recent Bills history, it starts and ends with the Rex hire. No FO decision on an individual player had as much of an impact on our team as a whole as Rex's horrible tenure here. We're lucky we a) got out of it quickly and b) ended up getting on heck of a coach in his place.
  22. I over-read it and thought it was a typo, good point and my mistake
