  1. Romo is going to be a legendary broadcaster when it's all said and done. His coverage during the Patriots-Jaguars AFC Championship was amazing, and I look forward to any and every game he does. Covering a bills game is icing on the cake. Speaking of, props to him during our game against the Jags when he showed Thompson breaking open deep on the final drive - only for Tyrod to throw near the LOS.
  2. Everyone says "the browns are going to be so much better this year!!!" 1. No ****, nowhere to go but up. 2. I look at their schedule, and regardless of who's at QB (or HC), I'm not sure I see them winning more than 5 games at best.
  3. They didn't announce the starters until right before kickoff in the earlier games; for this to happen so suddenly does bode well for his week 1 chances. Put Groy in there and make Ducasse on a very short leash (aka Teller taking over soon enough) and I'll be happier.
  4. 1 TD away from 100 and 37 yards from cracking the top 10 in rushing
  5. Praise and expectations on this board were really damn high right after we drafted him - many even saying we have a solution to covering Gronk. By the time Edmunds hits his stride and his prime, Gronk may very well retire. There's going to be lots of ugly plays from him this year, but unlike Whaley's picks, these top draft picks weren't about making the team better immediately as opposed to their long term trajectory; the phrase "ceiling" annoys me but it definitely applies in this case for the 7th and 16th picks.
  6. That's exactly who he was referring to in his prior post...
  7. I stole it from Browns fans and it is pretty damn good indeed
  8. One play when McLeod hit James White as he tucked in his head to hit him, he came to his defense and asked what else he was supposed to do which I respected The next series when Malcolm Jenkins was called for a BS unnecessary roughness call they were in unison that it was "way late" and he leaned with his head. Nope. Dude ran a post and Jenkins was speeding up to him and whacked him with his arms first on one of those "bang bang (God I hate That phrase)" plays. Urgh.
  9. One long ball from Allen to CoCo will make us peak I know it
  10. Definitely concerned but not to a large degree...yet The signing alone lit a huge fire under Shaq so we should be okay until he's cleared to play by the staff. McD was saying if it were up to Trent, he'd be giving it a go with the type of player he is, and they just have to err on the side of caution with an injury as tricky as this one. It'd be one thing if it were another knee injury or substance violation, but it's something new, so bringing up his past instances seems irrelevant. Come week three or four if he still isn't at least practicing, that'd be a major red flag
  11. The "true/real (insert sports team) fan" phrase annoys the piss out of me. You either are a fan or aren't. How much time and emotion you want to invest is totally your choice. I'd replace true/real with 'rational' bills fans. After all, we don't see all the reps so we'll trust the coaching staff to pick the best guy for week one and the best time for Josh to go into the lineup. PS - I don't get how you can say that about Jim; he earned respect and command of the huddle almost immediately. It was evident from the get go how skilled he was and how much the team could continue to grow around him. Bickering Bills wasn't on him - it was the overall passion and energy of the team in an attempt to further right the ship, as well as the media jumping on the chance to see players getting animated as some sort of alleged argument
  12. He'll have at least 5 SB MVP awards in his first 3 years.
  13. He allegedly had a strong arm and it made sense for how well he was built (I don't want to look at the Whaley "hand size" quotes or I'd vomit), but not once did I recall him actually rifling a pass into tight coverage or it looking good deep: I recall several hospital balls - Goodwin almost got killed versus the Chargers, Robert Woods was wide open on this one play vs Atlanta and a horrid throw caused him to take a 15 yard penalty hit, the TJ Graham TD versus the Jets was "caught like a punt" as said by Ian Eagle. We also never saw him make throws with anticipation before the WR would break open on his route. Not to mention that 'pat' he gave before his long-winded release that annoyed the crap out of me. It'd be one thing if he were accurate and decisive before he did that, but nope.
  14. I didn't know how anyone could take him seriously when he and Haley had a disagreement between pushing players versus getting them rest. I understand the HC wanting to be conservative, but saying "when I was in your chair (not HC)" and Al Saunders referencing "it's your team and do what you want"....that was cringe-worthy.
  15. As was I, but not totally relatable in this regard. We certainly were looking for a QB for the long haul this offseason. Getting a WR on a requested one-year deal on a transition year like this? Not so much
  16. Nate has to be kissing up to Tre for leaving him off the top rookies list earlier ?
  17. This thread needs a bump and a lot more recognition for this phrase alone Tre coined (pun intended) an awesome nickname for our defense. John Murphy said he's going to be looking to use that starting this Friday, and I wouldn't be shocked if it lasts all season and then some. He also kept calling John "Mr. Murphy." Little things like this make him an easy fan favorite.
  18. Why didn't he let us or the Ravens (or pretty much anyone) know earlier?
  19. I can hear all the video clips but can't see the video itself play out. I used multiple browsers and have everything up to date - still no luck. It sucks because I really enjoy Chris's roundups and a good portion of the articles.
  20. Are you maybe referring to an older post or Benjamin Albright instead? Here, Orlovsky compliments Allen for recognizing the coverage and making the pump fake.
  21. In defense of Foster, he did show that he could break open for a large majority of the game. The drop on the curl is 100% on him, as is him stopping the run on the offsides penalty. Allen pointed the finger at himself for throwing an out instead of a comeback on another play, and his first deep ball was off, too. Allen also locked into Proehl on the play that should have yielded a flag, but Foster looked to be wide open over the middle from the replay angles. I'm sure everything we're saying here in regards to concentration and effort will be stressed more than enough from Daboll and Robiskie. He has a huge opportunity to rebound from this all the way until the fourth game wraps up. I'd be shocked and pissed if we cut him anytime soon without the chance to redeem himself.
  22. Future of football is scaring me more and more; this won't help the already slow pacing of the game with all its commercials, but why can't penalties also be reviewed?
